I would have pressure washed the grates as well.

Why throw away the old flame covers, just because they’re not shiny and new does it mean that they don’t work as well any more?

Sarah you make cleaning the nastiest things look so easy. The BBQ scares me. Look what you did. BTW, you look great windblown.

Great ideas, I use a commercial fryer degreeser to soak the grates. Also I use a good grill cleaner called "citrusafe" BBQ GRILL CLEANER. YOU CAN CLEAN IT COLD WITH GREAT RESULTS, also not expensive to get.

I clean my BBQ at the end of every summer, but I definitely picked some tips from you! Thanks for this video! 😊

I cleaned mine today before I saw this video. Never thought to use hose/pressure washer. I have electrical components because of the auto starter/igniter - So I’d be concerned to do that?
I also soaked my grates AND used oven cleaner AND steel wool…and my grates still aren’t back to shiny (they are not cast iron).

How about putting everything that fits into a dishwasher?

Can you use the iron out on cast iron grills?

My issue is dumping the dirty water after soaking the grate. Handling the Rubbermaid is so awkward!

Thank goodness no grill brush! 😰 They need to STOP manufacturing those immediately. Who else is traumatized from the videos on Facebook?

Yes! Thank you! We wanted to pop that little PSA in there. People need to know, so scary.
