This morning I had a dream. I was sitting in a class with fellow students. Then Swami Vishwananda asked us: "What should we do?" Some of us raised their hand and explained their suggestions. I said: "We should serve those in dire need in our community and society. And dare we not forget about the sparks of God within the animals! Our duty it is to feed them, heed them, serve them, give them a home and a family. It is our duty to finally break the vicious cycle of suffering animals. We must stop hurting, killing and eating animals! And most sacred of all, it is our lifelong task to love them. God has created the animals to teach how to love." Swami closed his eyes and turned to me with a compassionate expression.
