That is just boruto edit i was being sarcastic how did you people not get if you guys joke i just laugh reading it stop responding to this it is a joke
I can see at the ending of One Piece, after the credits roll, of Brooke silently humming Bink’s Sake, while some kids approach him. It’d be like this. “Mr. Brooke! Mr. Brooke! Can you tell us one of your stories again?” “Mmm... Alright, I suppose another won’t hurt. Gather around children, and adults as well, this is one story that I’ll make sure that you’ll never forget! This will be the story of my experiences with the Pirate King Luffy....” *Brooke sets down his guitar* “This is the tale of a man with rubber like abilities, a foxy navigator who had a heart for gold and riches, a swordsman who drank a lot, a cook who was quite into women, a long nosed liar who could shoot from miles away, a cute little reindeer doctor, a wanted archaeologist, a cyborg shipwright, a dead man Yohohoho! And a stern yet caring fishman...”
Who'd insure him though? He goes looking for strong oponents, sacrifices himself, wants to fight people at their best and is willing to take on any danger. He'd fail.

And he didnt have time for some reason (prolly because he was terminally ill, and i suspect they needed the ancient weapons, but shiro hoshi had yet to be born. Soo.. long wait but big sick equals game over.). Thus, he had no choice but to leave it to the next generation. But at least since he was dieing anyways, he decided to use his death inspiring countless people.
Or maybe when they all die/split up, Brook will stay on the sunny which will float anonymously until another future pirate king comes and brings Brook in to their crew! Then Brook will tell 2 stories of how he sailed the seas with 2 of the once strongest men in the world. Then this process repeats until pirates don't really exist anymore or Brook is killed.
Damn if you think about it tho that’s so sad. Imagine 60 years into the future every crew member has passed away. And it’s just Brook sailing with the sunny
I imagine most of the battles with bacteria and viruses in Luffy's body would be like the Bananawari "fight". Gear Second is about blood flow, so I guess...yeah. All the RBC go at absurd speeds.
Naruto Uzumaki gets his demon ripped out from him Ichigo Kurosaki gets a hole blown through his chest Goku gets a heart virus and dies *a lot* Izuku Midoriya destroys his bones on a weekly bases Gon Freecs nearly dies by having his body strained by his own nen Edward Elric gets impaled through the stomach Toriko loses half of his body to a horse Eren Jeager gets eaten by a titan Gintoki Sakata receives life threatening injuries each arc It's a good thing these shonen protagonist have extensive health coverage *Kamina from Gurren Lagaan* .... well, most of them
Raymond Yongho For Eren, Titan Shifters are cursed with a short lifespan. Once given the serum that turns you into one you have ten years to live until the strain of titan shifting kills you. So Eren probably won’t live to be 25.
i mean because he rubber the damage wont really do anything but as we have so clearly seen with haki and the magma punch that impacted luffy bypassed his rubber as it still hurts him so if he can tank lava and haki which then acts as if he didn't have powers i dont think luffy would die at all. Also lets be real luffy would be strong even without his powers and hes still stronger than zoro and zoro has had major damage done to him and wounds that can easially open and took on luffy's pain all of it before so if he can live and hes not as strong as luffy, i feel luffy could live.
@@GameDogLeader21 thats true but i mean all the damage dealt to luffy he actually feels because of the haki so its basically like he didnt have his fruit in that sense since it just makes him rubber
"Are you sure we can trust this guy? Mike has a broken leg, this is serious." *Looks at the antlers and blue backpack* "He knows what he's about, son."
CybrosisEvolved I did some math and it’s actually in my comment earlier he could live to be 8,400 however if we reduced his lifespan (still scaled) to 68 normal years (that’s the average male lifespan in developed countries (non rubber)) he could live to be 4,800
@@colinmorgan7839 now that's more realistic because his body turned into rubber and that already increases his life span to incredible margins just due to the fact that his body suddenly can handle things to such a new extent it's basically like he's immortal.

Thats an impossobility. Law isnt a God. Yes law did heal him somewhat but even law cant heal him Completely. Luffy has already lost much of His lifespan and law cant fix That he Can just save The remaining
I've never liked when characters have their life span shortened just because it usually ends up not being relevant. So we're just left to assume the character died early after the story is over.
unless luffy is actually gold d roger who supposedly died but maybe reincarnated as monkey d luffy...cause its his devil fruits power ..just a thought I have...seems not accurate but would explain a lot about rogers actions late in life..and him turning himself in ...
Ace The FireDragon before he needed to pump his legs once or twice at least and u can tell it took a toll on him endurance wise. After time skip it was like a flick of the wrist to activate and didn’t affect his stamina.
I find it hilarious that tekking casually mentions how if someone came up to luffy with a club what it would do to him, and the next chapter of one piece luffy gets wrecked by kaido and his club
You probably forgot the damaged or strain from Nightmare Luffy The how many times has he drowned and needed resuscitation Starvation on whole cake island All the times nami beat him up Having mushrooms grow out of him on Amazon Lily Cobra poison from Amazon Lily And we're not even counting all the damage he could have sustained training in the 2 year time skip Yeah he Hella dead
Its not something I bring up often but realize this: Luffy took his first injection in frozen hell 5.5 of Impel Down (-10 years); before he left Impel down and was on his way to marine ford he needed at least one more shot (-10 years). at marine ford he was given 2-4 injections (-20-40 years). On Amazon Lily those mushrooms drain your life force to make more of them selves. He has used Gear 2 at least 20 times. He has used Gear 3 at least 5-10 times. He has used Gear 4 (1 snake man/ 1 Tank man/ 2+ Kong man) 4 times minimum. He had 200+ shadows injected into his system. He has received over 30 impact attacks to the chest or head. Severe frostbite at least twice. Severe malnutrition/exhaustion over 20 times. internal cauterization on multiple accounts in the torso. I am convinced eating a devil fruit causes the mystery sickness that kills its users short of their original time. + what you bring up... If Luffy survives to the age of 25 I will be surprised (taking into account possible future life reductions and health issues not yet taxing him). I expect Luffy to die within the last few chapters of one piece; having succeeded, yet at a cost too high so he will not be able to enjoy it for years. Ussop is the narrator and that is my final answer I am locking that in.
@@soggybread9846 Yeah, the others were injections of pure epinephrine, they were so he could actually move and fight even though he wasn't technically done healing yet. Luffy's lifespan is something that always intrigued me, since enies lobby and then impel down and onward. when that talk of lifespan shortening came up with lucci i didn't gave it much thought bc well he's a mc and they are "untouchable" but when he was going through iva-chan's treatment and later on his body gave out in the battlefield, THAT was when i was getting reeeally worried for him, and in sabaody, when his gear 2nd did jackshit to the PXs and we knew that he would have to level up even more, was when i started thinking that he wouldn't live enough to have white hair.... and it saddens me even more that he wouldn't have it any other way bc his goal in life is to live as the most free man and that also means not having to worry about tomorrow.. it's a bittersweet realisation... imagine the crew having to bid farewell to their king, captain, friend so early.. living on in a world without their main source of light of years.. not having that much time to live the life they spend all that time running after... after enies lobby, sabaody, impel down, marineford, i knew that luffy would die relatively young, like roger
Scientists estimate that rubber can take over 50 years to decompose naturally. Idk if this is true, but if we apply this, his lifespan even without having all of this going on would have been just over 50 years.
Can’t believe Tekken didn’t cover that. I figured this would be the very reason for the video, a hugely important talking point. It stands to reason he simply forgot.
He only uses the healing once, in prison after the poison and also energy hormone but in the battle at Marineford only the energy is used on luffy but the struggle is that after he loses the energy they will have wayy more affects from the damage they take because it’s tricking his body
No its 10 years because first was magellon poison but second in the marine ford Luffy used the energy hormones and Ivankov didnt say it will take 10 years.
On top of that, the madlad literally got thrown through a building, stabbed through the skull and crushed by a galleon, punched a ton of spikes, spent a good full hour under water without a suit, got struck by lighting, eaten by a whale, enjoyed some tea, climbed a fucking flat cliff with his bare hands until they bled, got mummified, ate a bomb, electrocuted multiple times, completely frozen through his entire body, survived a tsunami, punched a tsunami, literally pushed his body beyond the natural limit of even a superhuman by making his blood flow faster than a fucking race car, took a direct hit from a cannon ball, got his soul removed from his body, bitch slapped halfway across the world, got infected by 30 different poisons at once, and then given multiple pounds worth pure adrenaline, had his mind literally crushed from shock. ---------------------- And that’s the first half ---------------------- Then he trained relentlessly for two years, sat in a sharks mouth for an incredible amount of time, caught fucking Noah’s arc and just held it, nearly turned entirely to stone, hit by a meteor, hit by a fucking god, etc.
Am I the only one that thinks even though its obvious but of a is gong to end luffy the same way roger did...but I think that's dumb! Personally I want luffy to rule as king of the pirates for longer, I am fine with him going out the same way of being sick and knowing to ending soon though, but luffy needs to live as king with us crew for a min of 10 years. Then oda does one piece: 100 years later and follows the newest generation lol
christopher gearwar The next generation thing would be cool but I think Oda is a parallel to Luffy here, in the fact that their lifespans are shrinking, and Oda doesn’t really make his situation any better, similar to Luffy - Oda smokes and lives a very destructive lifestyle, hardly sleeping at all and no exercise whatsoever. His diet isn’t the best either. Let’s hope Oda lives to that point!
Rubber breaks down after ~20 years however because he still has cells that are alive and they are rubber their lifespan is ~20years instead of the average ~4 months Luffy should live using these comparisons and the average life span of 140 Luffy theoreticaly should live to be 8,400 years old however because he reduced Luffys life span from 140 to 68 he could still live to be 4,800 (yes the numbers seem super similar but I did new math for both times) Edit: fixing my math because I was off by a multiple of 12 Edit 2: I forgot to add the points in this video
But this Is fantasy not science. What I mean By this Is That oda probobly hasnt considered that and it would Make luffy very op just because of The devil fruit.
It's all fitting in a way. Luffy gives his all probably more than anybody in most shonen manga. His gear techniques are probably going to culminate in something big in the end of the series
Oggy 5000 I mean Saiyans get a power boost every time they're at the brink of death so I personally don't count that. Saiyans are like designed to get stronger with every defeat. Zenkai boosts are bullshit my dude
@@CloudyDaze True but so are humans to an extent. You know the whole learning from failure thing? It's that but enhanced for saiyans. Besides, even if he does get stronger, it doesn't change the fact he's still killing himself. Then there's the constant strain from his various transformations and even stacking Kaio ken on top of them. Although Luffy does also go through similar situations in battle so they are pretty close.
Oggy 5000 I do wanna mention it is dragon ball we're talking about where Death is probably the least big of a deal because people are either being wished back from the dead, or eating a senzu bean to fully recover from any injury. In One Piece or really any other shonen, there isn't an easily accessible healing to that effect. Chopper is an amazing doctor but he can't fix you up to better than when you came in. There's long lasting effects in One Piece that don't exist in Dragon Ball. It doesn't matter if you are killing your self if you can come back to life. Most of the time you need to CHOOSE to stay dead. Although I will admit the more I think about it, I suppose we can say Midoriya is the hardest worker than any of them because that lil green boy blows up his body every time he goes 1% over what he can physically handle.
Goku, deku and luffy are shounen protags, they’ll never die. Just because you can’t die doesn’t mean you still can’t lose or get your ass beat. That goes for all anime
Remember the longest life span of a regular person in One piece is 140 years but Luffy is clearly Superhuman with a life span longer than majority of the world plus he’s made of rubber which basically makes his invincible to blunt damage unless it’s haki infused
medicine student here. each cell has a hayflick limit which comes from one pair of chromosomes end called a telomere. The hayflick limit depends on the length of the telomeres because as you get older they get shorter which means you can multiply your cells less. an average cell can multiply 50-70 times. cancer cells do not have a hayflick limit which is how they make the uncontrolled lump of cells called a tumour.
Aren't there processes to repair hayflicks? I'm certain it's not common in most cells in the body, but I do know some cells never stop dividing like skin cells or red blood cells.
Cool to see that Gintama interested you! It is truly an amazing series, and I am sure it is something you in particular would love! Hope you get to watch it soon!
The amount of theories over how Luffy would get his tooth back and the reaction from the manga community when Oda actually gave it back nearly killed me with laughter. ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE. OP is the only series where I think I might actually die reading it. Gear 4th gave legit palpitations and I almost had a heart attack over Luffy becoming (SPOILERS) a Yonko. Oda. My heart is literally not ready.
@@abhrajitdhar4628 Are the yonko even officially recognized as working with the goverment? The yonko is just a title society gave them, just like the Pirate King wasn't a title Roger came up with. Will Shanks and Blackbeard not be yonko after this arc if Kaido and Big Mom fall just because it means "Four Emperors"? Also, one other point. They still called the Seven Warlords of the sea the Seven Warlords, even when there were less then Seven.

So here's everything that Luffy has been through : Stabbed with darts , swords , knives , spears , tridents , shark teeth , and poison hooks ; poisoned by hooks , darts , a stone fish , the blue ringed octopus , and Magellan ; blood pressure exceeds 1000 frequently ; expanding the skeletal and muscular system repeatedly ; reduced the lifespan by ten years ; had magma dripped on his chest ; has had severe hypothermia and has been frozen solid ; has been severely dehydrated ; and finally , extreme internal injuries from Rokuogan that probably caused internal bleeding . How is this guy still alive ?
20:25 On the topic of Luffy losing a tooth, you see, everyone is forgetting that he might have baby teeth still, since his body became rubber when he was still a kid. Just food for thought, I couldn't horribly mistaken, but you know
I don't think Luffy will die anytime soon , though he will not live long like Dr.Kureha . Look at Garp and Dragon they are above 40 in age and so was Roger when he died. The members of D initial don't have short lifespan.
Luffy will definitely die at the very end of the story. Then, 20 or something years later, one of the straw hats (brook maybe) can reminisce on the impact Luffy had on the world and on the Straw Hats
That would be kinda bad tbh, because the whole point of being pirate king is to have the most freedom, what's the point if as soon as gets it he just dies. Unless you mean like ten years after he finds the one piece
No. Choppers dream is to be able to cure any disease & I don’t think Oda is making Luffy a carbon copy of Roger. I feel like after becoming PK he’ll actually be able to enjoy the freedom & world he’s making. Unless there’s like a 40 year time skip or some shit
Yes, Gintama has serious fights; it may sound exagerated but the fight scenes have movie-type quality. Much more, it's not corny to watch. ... though the first serious fight is at episode 70 above, at yoshiwara.
The Benizakura arc is what convinced me that the anime was going somewhere, but the arc that really convinced me to stay was the Shinsengumi Crisis arc. It had the perfect blend of Gintama silliness and serious epicness.
I never liked the fact that there are a bunch of people in one piece that can use their devil fruit seemingly however they want without any repercussions known to the the viewer with a few exceptions. However, our main character seemingly kills himself a little more with every thing he does except for his base stretching.
dashon wells well I think it's the way luffy uses his devil fruit. It's kinda easy to not hurt yourself if you don't do the things luffy does. No offense to luffy, but a decent amount of his opponents have a sort of "higher power level" than him. This isn't bad though because he can use power ups to randomly overwhelm them. It's fits really well with him because you kinda need the villains to be really strong when they need to be and you need the protagonists to be underdogs and have fun tricks to overcome them and luffy is basically that kind of protagonist. Luffy is really young and kinda has to get stronger in crazy ways. His devil fruit allows him to do stuff like the gears so he does them.
Well tbh Luffy's fruit really isn't that good at all, when you look at the powerful people in one piece who have devil fruits they pretty much always have better fruits than he does,(logia's and special or awakened paramecias mainly) so they don't have to kill themselves to get stronger. People with fruits with similar level fruits as luffy tend to be pretty weak, look at buggy, and alvida type characters
WhoSaysWhat buggy honestly has a decently powerful devil fruit. He's just a weak character. Being able to split yourself up like that is pretty dangerous.
@@gogomarioloshi to an extent, but honestly it has it drawbacks because you gotta keep track off all the pieces of your body, you have a little distance you can be separated from you feet, and your feet are always vulnerable. So really if you've got good observation haki it's not amazing. But it is pretty decent overall if your creative enough, all I'm saying is, it's not worth doffy, or whitebeard, or moria' s fruit or anything
OmoBoey While agree with what you say about how he uses his devil fruit. The frustrating part is that he kinda has no other options as his devil fruit does not grant him many options like others in the story. Even devil fruits that don't grant you a ridiculous amount of powers usually have other uses. Say like robin's devil fruit or even mr. 3 has shown multiple uses with forming keys, armor, that time he almost turned the crew into statues. Devil Fruits have never been an even playing field i know that much but i was hoping for some kind of basic equality on them.
If luffys cells are in fact made of rubber then he can live for a very long time since a cell only divides when it needs to replace a dead cell and plastic takes a long time to decompose so in a perfect world he would live for a very long time
@@ismaelreyes7268 Holy shit that wouldn't be funny lmao. Losing your life to a steadily shrinking life span is oda's really only way of closing luffy's death as quick as possible when he finds the one piece because Oda really wants to finish this manga up.
Jacob I can accept Luffy dying early in his life, id probably be sad and even cry but I can only accept him dying AFTER he finds the Once Piece and defeats blackbeard.
With how much they put an emphasis on Law's fruit being able to grant immortality, I 100% expect Law to sacrifice his life for Luffy when Luffy ends up pushing too far and shortens his lifespan to yesterday.
I've been following your chanel for quite a while and I love listening to you. Your videos are the only videos I watch entirely, even the very long ones. You are a great youtuber! Keep it up bro!
Also is anyone else wondering why he was named Tony Tony CHOPPER, isn't that kind of a red flag for a doctor. I mean it's just a name sure but I would kinda be nervous to walk in to a doctor's office full of sharp objects and drugs that could literally paralyze you, then hear the doctor say "hi I'm dr chopper, please sit here" with a giant smile, holding a syringe. Why call a reindeer chopper anyway, is that a pun towards being a doctor or there fact that they might chop him up to eat
Meh, back then we were in the same position in Naruto when they said how everytime he healed quickly, he was shortening his lifespan because of cell regeneration (Tsunade too). And what happened? Turns out it was just to create tension. I think its the same thing here. Its there just so there's the idea that there's some "looming price" to pay for some of the most outrageous things, but it won't have a tangible effect on the story or the ending at all. The effect from Gear Second only seemed to apply before the timeskip as he seems to have mastered it, and the 10 years from Emporio's healing hormones aren't really that big of a deal since it'd just mean that instead of living to be, say, 80 years old, he will instead just live to be 70. Yeah, we'll definetly follow Luffy's life until that point lol. And nothing else in the story has been implied to have any effect on his lifespan. If we start "assuming" other things affect it too, then we also have to count stuff like Zoro getting sliced open once and again and losing 5/6 of his blood several times, Chopper's every use of Monster Point, and every major wound the crew sustains during the story. I think that IF its ever used, it will be in a sort of FAR-ahead epilogue like 50 years after the story when we see the members of the crew as old veterans. Think of Aang in Legend of Korra. Luffy will probably live a full life without any problems, and simply pass away earlier than some of his friends at like 70, while the rest live to be 80-90 or something. Not a big deal.
Shrek is a 2001 American computer-animated, comedy film loosely based on the 1990 fairytale picture book of the same name by William Steig. Directed by Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson in their directorial debuts, it stars Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and John Lithgow as the voices of the lead characters. The film parodies other films adapted from fairy tale storylines, primarily aimed at animated Disney films. In the story, Shrek (Myers) finds his swamp overrun by fairy tale creatures who have been banished by a corrupt Lord Farquaad (Lithgow) aspiring to be king. Shrek makes a deal with Farquaad to regain control of his swamp in return for rescuing Princess Fiona (Diaz), whom he intends to marry. With the help of Donkey (Murphy), Shrek embarks on his quest but soon falls in love with the princess, who is hiding a secret that will change his life forever. The rights to Steig's book were purchased by Steven Spielberg in 1991. He originally planned to produce a traditionally-animated film based on the book, but John H. Williams convinced him to bring the film to the newly-founded DreamWorks in 1994. Jeffrey Katzenberg began active development of the film in 1995 immediately following the studio's purchase of the rights from Spielberg. Chris Farley was originally cast as the voice for the title character, recording nearly all of the required dialogue. After Farley died in 1997 before the work was finished, Mike Myers stepped in to voice the character, which was changed to a Scottish accent in the process. The film was intended to be motion-captured, but after poor results, the studio decided to hire Pacific Data Images to complete the final computer animation. Shrek premiered at the at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival, where it competed for the Palme d'Or,[4] making it the first animated film since Disney's Peter Pan (1953) to receive that honor.[5] It was widely acclaimed as an animated film that featured adult-oriented humor and themes, while catering to children at the same time. The film was theatrically released in the United States on May 16, 2001, and grossed $484.4 million worldwide against production budget of $60 million. Shrek won the first ever Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and was also nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. It also earned six award nominations from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), ultimately winning Best Adapted Screenplay. The film's success helped establish DreamWorks Animation as a prime competitor to Pixar in feature film computer animation, and three sequels were released-Shrek 2 (2004), Shrek the Third (2007), and Shrek Forever After (2010)-along with two holiday specials, a spin-off film, and a stage musical that kickstarted the Shrek franchise. A planned fifth film was cancelled in 2009 prior to the fourth film's release, but it has since been revived and has entered development.

medicine student here. each cell has a hayflick limit which comes from one pair of chromosomes end called a telomere. The hayflick limit depends on the length of the telomeres because as you get older they get shorter which means you can multiply your cells less. an average cell can multiply 50-70 times. cancer cells do not have a hayflick limit which is how they make the uncontrolled lump of cells called a tumour.

Yes, Gintama has serious fights; it may sound exagerated but the fight scenes have movie-type quality. Much more, it's not corny to watch. ... though the first serious fight is at episode 70 above, at yoshiwara.
What about benzisaukra arc

"Laws a surgeon of death granted, but still a surgeon" fucking hilarious
If luffys cells are in fact made of rubber then he can live for a very long time since a cell only divides when it needs to replace a dead cell and plastic takes a long time to decompose so in a perfect world he would live for a very long time
Rubber is not plastic.

@@ismaelreyes7268 Holy shit that wouldn't be funny lmao. Losing your life to a steadily shrinking life span is oda's really only way of closing luffy's death as quick as possible when he finds the one piece because Oda really wants to finish this manga up.

I can accept Luffy dying early in his life, id probably be sad and even cry but I can only accept him dying AFTER he finds the Once Piece and defeats blackbeard.

With how much they put an emphasis on Law's fruit being able to grant immortality, I 100% expect Law to sacrifice his life for Luffy when Luffy ends up pushing too far and shortens his lifespan to yesterday.

Why call a reindeer chopper anyway, is that a pun towards being a doctor or there fact that they might chop him up to eat
chopper is reindeer in some language I dont remember
Chopper is a flying vehicle and he is a reindeer
1st of all, fucker, he's not a fucking reindeer ok hes a fucking raccoon dog. Damn dude do your research.
Maybe luffys cells are cancerous and can keep dividing forever
Eke dee?
