The unwashed slum dwellers must have been really stinking after celebrating their only goal of the game. Particularly those decomposing in the sunshine. My only disappointment was not seeing the prick Cram crying at the end.
In my 30 years following the Toon, Glenn Roeder is one of six quality managers this club has had. We've had some stinkers. But I have seen Keegan, Robson, Roeder, Hughton, Benítez and now Howe. May the glory days return.
What's new!? They never fill the stadium of Sh*te! I actually had a mackem the other day telling me that Sunderland are the giggest team in the North of England!! 😂🤣 I said how? Newcastle have a bigger stadium, a bigger fanbase, we are currently in the Premier league (maybe not for long, but still not league 1), we have a better Champions league record, and we have more legends made at our club, etc etc........." he didn't reply!" lol
The memories I have from this day, being 8 years old having the whole family round nicking everyone’s drink on the sly🤣 I’ll never forget it just unbelievable memories from childhood🖤 -it’s been good to see them suffer for a few seasons but I do hope they get back in the premier league soon I miss derby days
Strange how things work out. Shearer missed a penalty against Sunderland in November 2000 and Newcastle lost but in his final appearance he does score against them from the spot.
Sunderland 1-4 Newcastle United Shearer last ever Tyne and Wear Derby but nevertheless Shearer was always a record goal scorer in Premier League History.
It wasn’t how Shearer would have wanted his last season to end. But in a way, what better way to have his final game! Gutted it meant he couldn’t play in his testimonial (stick got the programme and the limited edition of brown ale!) Ps anyone fancying a Newcastle United PES master league series.. well I just started one!
Right, let's get things in perspective here.Has Newcastle ever been relegated to the third tier of English football,no.This is Sunderland's second spell, one season in the eighties and two seasons now and counting.I rest my case.
This just popped up on my TH-cam cardiff fan here when we played at Sunderland in 06 on Halloween all we sang theres only one Alan Shearer lol and we won too ha
I'm a Newcastle fan and my good friend Paul Brayson used to play for Cardiff when the chairman was a man called Sam Haman if I remember correctly? Not 100% I have his name correct but appoligise if I have it wrong. I remember when yous played Leeds and it was on the telly as well mate ha ha some good memories been brought back just from reading your comment mate thanks for that. I've just been speaking to Paul or Brassy as I call him nd he said that yous were the best fans he played in front off apart from the Geordies of course ha ha out of all the clubs he played for through out his career. Take care mate and thanks for stiring up those memories.
Sunderland now bragging today after a one goal dubious penalty win against a Wigan side that had only five players left from administration having to sell off entire squad and having to rebuild a squad only a few weeks in first match together and played at Sunderland in front of 30.000 fans and they bragging as though they won FA cup yeah one game only how comical tossers
Glenn Roeder was at his best as head of the academy. We lost a real gem when they made him manager. What they should have done was offer him a better deal as Academy Head Coach after an extended interim first team manager stint. Hindsight is wonderful but keeping him at the club was obvious even back then. Not an abrasive extroverted character by any means, he was well liked and a natural leader. Much loved at the club he captained.
He was such a breath of classy air after Souness. I have very fond memories of the next season's team, even if they weren't competitive in the Premiership
If Newcastle United becomes Saudi, this is a very wonderful thing because Saudi Arabia is a very wonderful and beautiful country. Look for it, you will be surprised by its beauty.🇸🇦🇸🇦

3.44 Glenn Roeder, Rest in Peace. A top bloke and decent manager who suffered horrifically in his frequent bouts with brain tumours.
🙏
well said lad
