Ideally if the list of songs and ragas are known before concert it should be announced ..Some who get thrill in guessing ragas may object but more novice rasikas get an opportunity to learn and appreciate the raga swaroopam , enhancing their enjoyment ..

Nice Harikamboji/Ananda Bhairavi and Varamu Soul touching ,scintillating and skillfully handled The team is highly cohesive All songs are not heard many times ,especially Varamu song I am hearing for first time in my 60 years of hearing music

Pleasing music all the way. Excellent signing by Sri. Sikkil Gurucharan. Superb to say the least. Each compositions presented in this concert were sparkling gems. If the compositions in Thodi, Mukhari and Simhendra madhyam were sparkling the others that followed in Yaman kalyan, Hamir and kannada were equally soulful. Request to mention the names of Thambura artistes also as they play a vital role in such concerts. Very disturbed to note certain comments on the appearance of the singer. It would be prudent not to pass such personal remarks. It is unfortunate that such persons have negative mindset. Music itself is a devotion and not to judge merely by the vibhuti smeared in the forehead or not!!!!

Giving the name of the Ragam does help those who appreciate Carnatic music but not very conversant with the ragas.

Only complaint: If you can pronounce "Sha"ranam correctly, you should be able to duplicate the sound in "Sha"bari malai. What happened?

Rightly said.. For most people it's just a means of making money with those songs.. They are not interested to follow the bhava of the saint who composed it ..

நானும் திருமதி ஜானகிராமரத்னம் அவர்களின் கருத்தை யே வழி மொழகிறேன் .பாடகர் முதல் அனைத்து கலைஞர்களும் இந்த நல்ல வழக்கத்தைக்கடைபிடிக்கலாமே!!! இதுவே இந்துமத்த்தின் தனி அடையாளம் என்பதை கவனத்தில் கொள்ளவும்.
