Minnie actually said on vlive when she was on vlive alone that she always jokes with Miyeon but that lately it could been to much and she said she was very sorry to Miyeon. Please dont get the wrong idea. This aint any aoa case, Minnie loves Miyeon but like with all the time they have spent together they must feel like sister and sisters can fight. Like it is normal for friendships to have complections but overall are they really good friends and care a lot for each other and get good along.
Even though it's just joking around, sometimes there's a point where you can't take it anymore. Miyeon always is the butt of the joke as she gives such great reactions. I get why the others like drawing it out of her because (like us) they think it's cute and funny. Normally Miyeon just laughs along, as she gets it. But on that day, she was tired of it. I don't think Minnie was being mean on purpose, as later she took steps to be more sensitive around her. And since then we've seen the two pair up as usual. I just think that on that particular day Miyeon was feeling sensitive and it was just one joke too many.
It also is good that Miyeon is more vocal. This way, the members will not assume that Miyeon is always ok with it and there would be too much misunderstandings that will lead to a big scandal or issue later on where the member expose that she's been bullied by other members bla bla bla. It's better to clear all small misunderstandings before it gets bigger.
I'm glad Miyeon did it. Both (Minnie and Miyeon) of them are my biases along with Shuhua and I'm honestly happy Miyeon was more vocal about her feelings getting hurt. That's a step by step way to build up a better and stronger bond between the both of them.
i think its also how different thailand and korea is. In thailand friends like to tease each other for fun and i guess in korea not as much? And because minnie is thai and grew up with that she often doesnt think about it (plus she grew up with 2 brothers who always teased her and she probably adopted that behavior). But as Miyeon is korean and she probably didnt grow up with that, she gets hurt by her friend saying such stuff. I also dont think Minnie does it on purpose, its just how she grew up. I'm like Minnie (i also grew up with 2 older brothers who teased me). I often dont know when i'm going overboard with my friends because to me, im just making jokes and fun, but my friends often think i make fun of them or im being mean to them. I know how minnie thinks and acts towards her friends. We're really not trying to be hurtful, please dont think we want to make our friends feel bad. I've began to become more sensitive and thoughtful now
tbh if miyeon isn’t the straightforward person that she is (one who doesn’t hide emotions and always just express how she feels right away), these kind of friendly teasing can lead to accumulating grudges that will build up and explodes one day. So I’m glad she is not really that sensitive person takes joke too personally.
Even when you watch on of their recent v live (i uploaded it), you'll see that the teasing doesn't stop. But Miyeon teases her too. They do it as good friends. The members love each other. Let's not think of it the bad way. They are cute
Right. Teasing with your friends can't be avoided. I think Miyeon became more playful and adjusted more to understand her members. It also goes the same to her members. Since the confrontation, all of them became aware of it and matured more but ofc they still tease each other sometimes.

Update (8/1/20): Hi Neverlands. I understand your concern that people may get the "wrong idea" that Miyeon is being bullied. However, I did not suggest that "Miyeon is being bullied." People can come up with their own conclusions because we all have our own opinions. I am simply showing a video of Miyeon being upset/sad because she received the end of a joke that had gone too far. Neverlands, please stop denying the fact that Miyeon was hurt. I understand they were just joking around and teasing Miyeon. But that DOES NOT hide the fact that Miyeon was hurt. to explain, this is an example of learning someone's boundaries first-hand. this isn't all bad. i'm sure it's concerning that miyeon was genuinely hurt at this time since minnie took it a little too far. but, through this experience, minnie learned to be a little more cautious around miyeon. without this situation (as well as miyeon being vocal about her feelings), minnie would've taken it a step further. it's all about learning someone's boundaries. minnie learned how far she can take it, and now, she won't take it as far anymore.

Yeah I'm sure every member loves each other. They are comfortable enough to even tease each other but Minnie didn't know she crossed the line. Regardless, Miyeon and Minnie will always be Puppy Sisters as Minnie even said in a different Vlive video that she is more comfortable around Miyeon now compared to their debut days. lol we all experience this with our friends. Sometimes we joke too much or they joke too much with us and someone gets hurt although it’s really not on purpose. The sensitive thing is to go after that friend and apologize (which Minnie did) and next time know the boundaries (again which Minnie learned). It’s a normal mistake between friends, that’s how you bond and friendships get stronger, by understanding each other.
Everyone needs to chill. Soyeon and Yuqi permanently tease each other, as do Soojin and Shuhua when Soojin claims not to love her. I think Miyeon is sensitive and sweet but you can tell Minnie adores her and the nature of their friendship is a bit sibling-like at times when they wind each other up. Agreed. Friends fight every once in awhile, even groups like BTS and Mamamoo admitted to it, other groups as well. People are going overboard saying Minnie was being rude and a bully when it clearly was a joke. You can tell they have a good friendship, and one or two fights or disagreements doesn’t change that.
It's not just Minnie, Miyeon gets made fun of the most by the group. Shuhua teases Miyeon a lot even labeling her pabo miyeon (stupid). Yuqi constantly teases miyeon, told miyeon to go away in this telepathy challenge. They all mock her dancing and rapping. All fun i guess (for the other members) but Miyeon suffers the most so how could miyeon not sulk when the group gangs up on her constantly... probably only soojin really takes care of her cuz she's naturally motherly. Soojin never went that far, she's more gentle. It's just that Miyeon is too nice. Being the eldest she can scold them but she doesn't. Ofcourse they are buddies at the end of the day, but being the eldest I think they should respect her a bit more. You can't just leave a group, there are huge exit fees, unless you're rich but still it's a waste of money.

Friendships have little ups and downs. Especially if you’re with that person everyday and see them a lot you get tired of certain things. People make mistakes during a friendship. But if they realize and fix that certain situation that’s a good thing. And Minnie did that they have a healthy friendship it’s okay manee not everything is always perfect.
This reminds me of when MY wanted to do VLive together but MN didnt want to... the thing is after clearing up that MY wanted to do the Vlive together with MN they did it together! They were even joking around and laughing talking about how they were wearing couple shirts by chance. I understand sometimes its too much but also they have a life beyond what we see. I absolutely LOVE (g)-idle but I think we can all see Miyeon is a sensitive person and takes things to heart, I’m the same and sometimes you take things differently to others! Then Minnie says Shuhua doesn’t like Miyeon. She had a right to feel a certain way especially since she said Minnie did it all day towards her but Minnie did the right thing and approached her about it without the camera.

Minnie and Miyeon are so close, Minnie has taken on the role of the tsundere in the group, like how Soojin had that role in the beginning. It’s genuinely nothing to worry about, it’s a running joke in the group that Minnie is going through ‘puberty’ and is more moody and cheeky than she was last year. Minnie did apologise to Miyeon when she thought she was taking it too far and you can honestly see that Minnie adores and loves Miyeon. They’re one of the main ships in the group because they always gravitate towards each other and seem really really close. You also have to realise that it’s a skit for the camera, but some times you see the way they are naturally and they’re calm and loving to each other. I understand that you might be concerned, but making a video like this isn’t really the way to go. I honestly clicked this video expecting it to be one of those dramatic crack videos and started laughing because I know all of these moments. I know people are saying "don't take it seriously", but you can easily tell Miyeon was really annoyed by Shuhua and Minnie attitude, in 2:40 both have the "i fucked up" face. It's not serious in the way that Miyeon had a fight with them or something, but this is the first time i see Miyeon stood her ground, out of all the members of the group she is the one that is teased a lot, in talk shows, vlive, i-talks, etc. and i have to admit sometimes the members are a bit too rude with her, i know its her character being the clumsy one and that stuff, but she has all the rights to not always have the mood to tolerate their shit lol.

in this video, it seems that miyeon was indeed genuinely hurt by their teasing, which minnie herself acknowledged. but that doesn't mean they're bullying her on a regular basis. kpop groups always have common character archetypes (the dumb one, the savage one, the sunshine one etc) and certain "storylines"/running gags to entertain fans (eg one member being obsessed with/a fan of another one. sounds familiar? i've seen this storyline in at least 3 other groups already). TJ is the biggest example of this, the fact that they literally gave themselves a name for their dynamic which their company also uses screams "deliberate". they probably all act very differently off camera. furthermore, korea has a strong age hierarchy and miyeon is the oldest. given this "power difference" it's highly unlikely that she's getting bullied by people younger than her (to put it in perspective, if they weren't idols miyeon would have graduated college already while shuhua would still be a sophomore). another thing is that minnie and shuhua are foreigners. foreign language, foreign culture already puts them at a technical disadvantage in social situations (= less power). i mean how many times have you seen the transfer kids at school (the outsiders) bullying the others (the insiders) unless they're very rich or something. it's usually the opposite. these factors make it less likely that there is real bullying going on. drawing serious conclusions about bullying from lowkey scripted videos is dangerous. and don't keep jumping to the aoa case because that's a very extreme comparison.

since the jimin and mina bullying incident when i watch their videos sometimes i see and observe things that i would’ve just pass up before but now i couldn’t, when i saw the videos in i talk where they were shooting for their concert photos you can see miyeon sitting alone in the corner and after that they kinda teased miyeon and you can just see her trying to laugh even though the situation wasn’t that funny and she ended up just filming herself, after that i appreciated miyeon more and she became my bias because she is such a sweetheart and an underrated baby, which kinda reminded me of seokjin

Actually, I feel sorry for the ones who take these bickerings way too seriously. It's true that Miyeon, the clumsiest, is the one that gets teased a lot (apart from Yuqi from Soyeon). This is not something new as it's been happening since their debut. Miyeon's one catches our eyes most cuz she gets teased both from Minnie and Shuhua (with lots of screentime). In Shuhua's case, we know how I-Talk editors normalized their relationship a fighting one that they'd even name their vLives TJ! Regarding Minnie, these two are too close behaving like that, trust me. The common and popular ships in (G)I-DLE have always been like this:- Soojin+Shuhua (SooShu), Yuqi+Soyeon (YuYeon) and Minnie+Miyeon (Puppy Sisters) and there is an underlined meaning of these superior ships cuz they complement each other more than other ships. Remember it kindly. Finally, does it mean I am ignoring the concerns of all the people who are being protective of Miyeon here? No, I certainly can't. We need to remember that even a cheerful person can get sensitive sometimes depending on his/her mood like this one from Miyeon. She is usually a pro and very mature at handling situations like this but she got mad cuz probably, her mood was not prepared for this that day, otherwise, she could have joined the laughing with them on another day! Even though it's just joking around, sometimes there's a point where you can't take it anymore.
Miyeon always is the butt of the joke as she gives such great reactions. I get why the others like drawing it out of her because (like us) they think it's cute and funny. Normally Miyeon just laughs along, as she gets it. But on that day, she was tired of it.
I don't think Minnie was being mean on purpose, as later she took steps to be more sensitive around her. And since then we've seen the two pair up as usual. I just think that on that particular day Miyeon was feeling sensitive and it was just one joke too many.
It also is good that Miyeon is more vocal. This way, the members will not assume that Miyeon is always ok with it and there would be too much misunderstandings that will lead to a big scandal or issue later on where the member expose that she's been bullied by other members bla bla bla. It's better to clear all small misunderstandings before it gets bigger.
I'm glad Miyeon did it. Both (Minnie and Miyeon) of them are my biases along with Shuhua and I'm honestly happy Miyeon was more vocal about her feelings getting hurt. That's a step by step way to build up a better and stronger bond between the both of them.

i think its also how different thailand and korea is. In thailand friends like to tease each other for fun and i guess in korea not as much? And because minnie is thai and grew up with that she often doesnt think about it (plus she grew up with 2 brothers who always teased her and she probably adopted that behavior). But as Miyeon is korean and she probably didnt grow up with that, she gets hurt by her friend saying such stuff. I also dont think Minnie does it on purpose, its just how she grew up. Update (8/1/20): Hi Neverlands. I understand your concern that people may get the "wrong idea" that Miyeon is being bullied. However, I did not suggest that "Miyeon is being bullied." People can come up with their own conclusions because we all have our own opinions. I am simply showing a video of Miyeon being upset/sad because she received the end of a joke that had gone too far.
Neverlands, please stop denying the fact that Miyeon was hurt. I understand they were just joking around and teasing Miyeon. But that DOES NOT hide the fact that Miyeon was hurt. Minnie has already admitted that she realized Miyeon was hurt. She DID apologize to Miyeon for joking/teasing her to the extent that she got hurt.
To those that are worried that Miyeon might be getting bullied, I can only encourage you to keep supporting the girls. I am almost sure that Miyeon is NOT being bullied. The whole group is just very active and loving towards one another, which makes them comfortable enough to tease each other (even though sometimes, it may go too far).
Other people make valid points that every kpop group needs to present a certain image because it is part of their job. No one knew that Mina from AOA was being bullied at all! It was only until she spoke up. Therefore, we cannot speak for the members directly. It goes both ways; we cannot say that Miyeon is being bullied, nor can we say that Miyeon is NOT being bullied. We just can't know for sure.
I personally think every (G)I-dle member likes to tease each other because they are comfortable enough to do so. If one member gets hurt, it was done so without intent. But that is just my opinion.

to explain, this is an example of learning someone's boundaries first-hand. this isn't all bad. i'm sure it's concerning that miyeon was genuinely hurt at this time since minnie took it a little too far. but, through this experience, minnie learned to be a little more cautious around miyeon. without this situation (as well as miyeon being vocal about her feelings), minnie would've taken it a step further. it's all about learning someone's boundaries. minnie learned how far she can take it, and now, she won't take it as far anymore.

lol we all experience this with our friends. Sometimes we joke too much or they joke too much with us and someone gets hurt although it’s really not on purpose. The sensitive thing is to go after that friend and apologize (which Minnie did) and next time know the boundaries (again which Minnie learned). It’s a normal mistake between friends, that’s how you bond and friendships get stronger, by understanding each other.
Everyone needs to chill. Soyeon and Yuqi permanently tease each other, as do Soojin and Shuhua when Soojin claims not to love her. Minnie and Miyeon are so close, Minnie has taken on the role of the tsundere in the group, like how Soojin had that role in the beginning. It’s genuinely nothing to worry about, it’s a running joke in the group that Minnie is going through ‘puberty’ and is more moody and cheeky than she was last year. Minnie did apologise to Miyeon when she thought she was taking it too far and you can honestly see that Minnie adores and loves Miyeon. They’re one of the main ships in the group because they always gravitate towards each other and seem really really close. You also have to realise that it’s a skit for the camera, but some times you see the way they are naturally and they’re calm and loving to each other. I understand that you might be concerned, but making a video like this isn’t really the way to go. I honestly clicked this video expecting it to be one of those dramatic crack videos and started laughing because I know all of these moments. in this video, it seems that miyeon was indeed genuinely hurt by their teasing, which minnie herself acknowledged. but that doesn't mean they're bullying her on a regular basis. kpop groups always have common character archetypes (the dumb one, the savage one, the sunshine one etc) and certain "storylines"/running gags to entertain fans (eg one member being obsessed with/a fan of another one. sounds familiar? i've seen this storyline in at least 3 other groups already). TJ is the biggest example of this, the fact that they literally gave themselves a name for their dynamic which their company also uses screams "deliberate". they probably all act very differently off camera.
furthermore, korea has a strong age hierarchy and miyeon is the oldest. given this "power difference" it's highly unlikely that she's getting bullied by people younger than her (to put it in perspective, if they weren't idols miyeon would have graduated college already while shuhua would still be a sophomore). another thing is that minnie and shuhua are foreigners. foreign language, foreign culture already puts them at a technical disadvantage in social situations (= less power). i mean how many times have you seen the transfer kids at school (the outsiders) bullying the others (the insiders) unless they're very rich or something. it's usually the opposite. these factors make it less likely that there is real bullying going on.

I not hoping she going to left. Im a fan of their I-talk show and Miyeon was the best character on that show.. she bring smile and laughter on every I-talk videos.. but lately Miyeon seem kind of rare to see on their new I-talk video that was posted recently (watch it on their new videos) Miyeon appear just like that.. and if you watch every game videos for Idle, Miyeon just being scolded by their member and I look at Miyeon she seem so distracted and she just smile to hide her feeling.. i dont know what happen to her but i hope other member respect her kindness and purest heart.

It's true that Miyeon, the clumsiest, is the one that gets teased a lot (apart from Yuqi from Soyeon). This is not something new as it's been happening since their debut. Miyeon's one catches our eyes most cuz she gets teased both from Minnie and Shuhua (with lots of screentime). In Shuhua's case, we know how I-Talk editors normalized their relationship a fighting one that they'd even name their vLives TJ! Regarding Minnie, these two are too close behaving like that, trust me. The common and popular ships in (G)I-DLE have always been like this:- Soojin+Shuhua (SooShu), Yuqi+Soyeon (YuYeon) and Minnie+Miyeon (Puppy Sisters) and there is an underlined meaning of these superior ships cuz they complement each other more than other ships. Remember it kindly.
Finally, does it mean I am ignoring the concerns of all the people who are being protective of Miyeon here? No, I certainly can't. We need to remember that even a cheerful person can get sensitive sometimes depending on his/her mood like this one from Miyeon. She is usually a pro and very mature at handling situations like this but she got mad cuz probably, her mood was not prepared for this that day, otherwise, she could have joined the laughing with them on another day! This can happen. So, let's not make it big of a deal and trust their bonding.

The important thing here is whether the specific term is used positively or negatively. Again, positivity/negativity depends on the reader's comprehension which can be, sometimes, misleading.

Yes! If she was in BP, she'd be so rich, popular and loved. Miyeon is a top visual/vocalist, but she's being totally overlooked. All she gets by being in Gridle is being teased and mistreated. :-(

I agree, they bully her TOO much, like now is almost everyone, and if you look closely from like a year ago, she seems to just go with it to avoid problems, looks like she has acknowledge their behavior, but glad she let it out a bit, I mean of course they can get on each other's nerves from time to time, but the have gone careless with Miyeon, who seems to be very chill naturally, but hey we don't know what she had to face in yg or currently, I just hope she is okay, and better. Have to say also that Yuqi is the one that I have seen being more polite and aware of Miyeon's reactions to their jokes.
