I remember all of this the restaurant, the pool, the garden, the club, all of it. It’s hard to imagine that Memphis once had enough class for a place like this to exist. The place has really gone to hell.
I went into 100 N Main back in February and it's been vandalized so bad. Lots of broken windows, glass, and even that TV behind the bar on the Tennessee club level. So sad to see it like this.
Another Memphis landmark gone forever! It would have made a cool retro bar or club that would have been a place to go in Memphis. That TV was actually on and running when I was there. Wasn't picking up stations, but was on.
Where did you get the drawing of the 100 N Main building that appears at the beginning of the video? I'd love to see them renovate it and have it look something like that.
Only about 30% of the offices were occupied around 2010, and the new owners at the time kicked the remaining tenants out for conversion into condos and a hotel (which never happened).
What happened? This was a beautiful building! It looks like Everyone just...one day.. walked away. I would like to know the story behind WHY it Died! So sad!
Man, watching the video link posted in the description makes me sad. You guys got lucky getting these shots when you did! In 10 years vandals totally destroyed that place. If this isn't the prophetic story of Memphis as a city, I don't know what is!

The build experienced structural problems and many of the large tiles on the outside fell to the ground.
When did the restaurant close ?
In the late 1980s or early 1990s, I believe.
They are redeveloping this after all this time
