Little tip. Apply mascara, dry them with a hair dryer on cool and repeat until you get desired look. My lashes are naturally long anyway but if I want that dramatic false lash effect I just use my hairdryer between coats
its actually the mascara itself! you can use a wax based mascara. normal mascara usually has oils that breakdown the glue edit: you also need to apply it properly and remove it properly

just have to make sure you only put it from the middle of the lash to the end, dont want to get it at the base because its had to clean it all out, and make sure you buy whatever remover your lash tech recommends
