“Your days blighted by darkness” (not brightened). Some say this song has to do with the feud between David Gilmour (singing) and Roger Waters, who left the band & tried to keep David & the other 2 original members from using the Pink Floyd name.

I'm from England, I grew up listening to Pink Floyd smoking solid pot when it was pure and there was variety from the light stuff like slate to red and gold seal resin you could roll into a line and drop it in the tobacco,,that was a heavy smoke (more barbs) then there was rocky that was the dog's bollocks. Bongs, buckets, hot knives whatever we flew to far of places to Floyd. I love watching your reactions to them especially live concerts ,the crowds, light displays, effects. Queen too, what a guy amazing singer, song writer, his crowd control the sheer amount of people crammed in these concerts. Live Aid when Queen opened the concert, did you know Queen was slightly out of fashion before then, they weren't on the original list of bands/singer's, Bob Geldoff who was the brain who started and organised Live Aid, popped in to a cafe and there was Freddie Mercury ( he spent most of his time abroad) so it was really a chance meeting. Bob said you should play Freddie but Freddie is said to have said " I don't know if people want to see us anymore ". They opened the show and it was beyond, thank fk that concert was outside cause they'd have blown the roof off. The next headliner and many other star's said "how are we supposed to follow that " meaning Queens iconic set. . After all the things they tried and pushed boundaries he told his bandmaster " I want to do opera, were going to do opera. The press laughed and wrote terrible things about Freddie, ( well every one in those days)Barcelona is what Freddie and his band Queen gave us. I watched every performance live and recorded. I think I was 14,15yrs. If only he was here now maybe he would have had more years to live.
