I like how this is basically the culmination of Eris's learnings, the fruit of her labor is her ability to ascend to hive-godhood. It's also interesting to see how Strand has mellowed out Osiris, poor traumatized guy found that good green stuff and is now Zen af.

things are coming full circle from the book called "the dark future" it speaks how eris is the mastermind behind our defeat, she was controlling ana and savathun , savathun called her "the witch queen" in that future so i can see that happening in ours as well now.
The Dark Future was one where Elsie didn't teach Guardians to use Stasis. Guardians found it themselves and fell to temptation. The Young Wolf (Us) and Eris were among them with Eris usurping Savathun and leading the Dark Guardians. With Elsie's guidance we've learn to use Stasis and other Darkness powers like it without falling to temptation. Eris may become a Hive God like the Dark Future but because Elsie and others have supported her and kept her grounded she will remain on the Travelers side. For instance Elsie and Ana find the Drifter's corpse on Europa seemingly having tried to turn himself into an Exo to ride out the Dark Guardian Collapse. It's likely since Elsie never brought together the "Dark Vanguard" to teach us Stasis Eris and Germaine never became friends (Not to mention their implied romance) and without that she was easier prey for the Deep.
The Dark Future has already been prevented in the Beyond Light expansion so our Eris won't fall to the Darkness. Though I can see now how Eris became the Witch Queen in that timeline, this must be the exact ritual she performed.
I could see some hive becoming loyal to her. Maybe hive who holds vengeance of their own. Would make sense. Though Eris would hate that. She hates the hive.
Eris become a hive god and have to get her strength from destroy other hive but she had to create her own to match but sense we are her brood but I wonder if is possible for eris can use siva for her self and us by using her hive magic create someing very powerful like by turning us into something new and unknown because now we can use darkness and light and the strand maybe with siva could make us unkillable and nightmare to all threat to us guardians but I could be wrong but what you all think of the idea?
This cut scene never played for me! 😕 When Eris turned Super Sayan. I just was told to go to the back room in the helm ,went through the portal and Eris showed up all weird looking. Like WTF?
That's what strand was originally going to be, but they couldn't give it enough unique mechanics to set it apart from the other subclasses, so it was changed to strand
This seems like Eris will either die trying to kill Xivu or will kill Xivu and we gotta kill her before she loses herself or savathun kills her. There’s the 3rd option of this all goes well and Eris can revert back to normal self heck maybe back to her human self without the hive eyes. While Eris does need to gain this hive power to defeat Xivu to make a deal with savathun there’s a few things that feel off about this quest
I think another potentially interesting place this story could end up would be eris morn and savathun ending up turning into one being. Something neither fully hive nor fully guardian, both a being of light driven to darkness and a being of the deep who flew to the sky
It’s an interesting perspective to see the sword logic working almost in reverse since Eris is not pledging to the deep, but vengeance on what was taken from her; where sword logic is making oneself stronger with what you take.
All of this could have been prevented if we just took the taken king throne after killing him in the raid. Ofc we had no idea but it could have been prevented, with all the killing we do we wouldnt even need acolytes to fuel ourselves
This reminds me of that dark future the stranger told us where she saw eris at the top of a pyramid ship but than again she says she has it under control

The thing with Eris becoming a Hive God of Vengeance is that overtime Hive Gods become closer and closer to what to the abstract principles they embody. Xivu Arath is the perfect example of this. Part of this is because of the Worm larvae inside them which thankfully I don't Eris ingested. However, she's had enough exposure to powerful Hive artifacts, use of their magic, and even Black Fleet tech that it's still a concern. The Darkness itself is not inherently evil, but the ways the Hive, Worm Gods, The Disciples, and The Witness do most certainly are. They gain power from the agonizing deaths and psychic energy that resonates in the Darkness. Eris is strong-willed and proven a steadfast ally with the best intentions but...she's re-opening old wounds we helped her heal from in order to do this. Let's also not forget in one the future's Elsie came from, Eris essentially mantled Savathûn to become a Hive God...and it did not turn out well at all.

I think this could allow us to have hive allies, if Eris successfully defeats Xivu Arath she could attract scattered hive forces who begin to follow her because of her power, maybe even if she becomes human again, then she can use her magic to command them, which could help us keep Savathun in line
I love how to the hive gods they are all happy and having fun but their version of fun is waging war against each other, it makes you think if they think the guardians are friends that are just having a good time
I still think not giving us a Hive Magic subclass in Witchqueen was a missed opportunity. I can appreciate Stasis and Strand being this sort of abstract power compared to the Lights physical but ehhhhh. Hive Magic and its aesthetics are so cool. I would've loved to like temporarily channel worm powers. And so during the Hive Super our Guardians would've gotten like a cool Hive carapace (similar to what Eris has now) as if we temporarily become Hive Gods when we cast supers. Imagine that, killing the Witchqueen with her literal own powers. By becoming more compact and temporary versions of the Hive Gods when we use the Hive Supers.

Because the conflict isn't against Xivu. Every fight we have against Xivu strengthens her through tithing. We're tithing to Eris so the conflict "energy" doesn't flow to Xivu.
I love how our journey it all strarted with the hive the dark below our 1sr expansion and now ending it with hive we have came alonf way dealing with the hive from dark below to taken king the small hive expansions we had shadow keep to witch queen and here we are now lol
I want to be a hive god so bad. I believe the sword logic more then i do the light, iv followed oryx since the taken King. If i ever get that choice in this game, light or sword logic. I choose sword logic, it would be stupid not to. I mean we all follow it in the sense of killing things to get more power, and loot.
Eris Morn going all hive god came as a surprise to me but it really shouldn't have, since Cayde predicted this would happen in one of the audio logs he left for our guardian in the mission to acquire the Ace of Spade exotic hand cannon. He even accurately predicted the reason for her transformation being vengeance... For her ship that Cayde destroyed lol.
What’s Drifter got to say about this? He’s lost people before to larger forces, it’s what drew him and Eris together. Is he going to cut ties after this, or stick around?
My only problem with this season is that it is the exact same risk as last season. In order to stop xivu our friend requires us to farm so that they can strengthen their connection to the hive. Our friend keeps getting whispers and we are scared they are going to become evil. I do love Eris and Sloane though so I’m still enjoying the story.
i feel like we will now start to see how the hive joins our alliance with the OG enemies (maybe Eris will have her own hive or maybe Savathun will be a ally to the light/Traveller)
Hive were always my favorite aliens in destiny. Eris has always been my favorite guardian/character. The fact that she turned into a hive kind of backs up a long held theory of mind, that all the aliens in destiny are of human origin and that it’s all a metaphor, for how humans spread Across the Earth, and then, when encountering other cultures fought at first, then became allies later on. After House of light, I started to predict that we would eventually have allies from all alien factions even the Vex. Especially considering humans experimented with the Vex radiolaria To create the EXO’s, I figure since Vex can time travel they could be a version of EXO is that evolves far into the future. I think it may even be possible that some of if not all of the aliens have human origins. From stories about the hive, it almost seems as though a colony ship crash landed on a gas, giant, and somehow people evolved into the hive. Not sure about the Cabal or the fallen but the hive and the VEX seem like they could probably come from human ancestors.
This is eerily similar to Bungie's original concept for Forerunners in Halo The Cabal seem to know Latin for some reason, just as the Forerunners in Bungie Halo did
So We got Ikoia, Immaru, Xivu, Savathun (at the end most likely), Eris as a hive God of vengeance as Center stage of the season. With possibly drifter coming in much later. Though I’m a bit curious. What about Toland? since the center spotlight is on Eris, i’m thinking that this could be the best time for Toland to enter into some story content here. Having both Eris and Toland interacting in someway would be interesting to see.
Just started watching the video but I'm theorizing that this will end with Xivu Arath not being destroyed so much as becoming one with and mantled by Eris and us having control of a force of Hive
I’ve always felt hive were the main enemies of us guardians. In all honesty , if a live action movie happens , the Hive would be at the center. I’ve always seen the cabal , the fallen , & vex as secondary enemies. Didn’t feel like the stakes were too high, unlike the the hive.
She sure says take a lot. Maybe a new taken queen ? Why not! We have teamed up with every other faction except scorn and vex. Crow can bring us the scorn and the vex will be our final enemy. Neither dark or light .

Oryx was stronger than xivu, we were stronger than Oryx. To get all the power we need, we just need to play the kings fall reprised raid a few times
Keep in mind we only beat Oryx because of Crota dying which cut off The tribute.

I want to be a hive god so bad. I believe the sword logic more then i do the light, iv followed oryx since the taken King. If i ever get that choice in this game, light or sword logic. I choose sword logic, it would be stupid not to. I mean we all follow it in the sense of killing things to get more power, and loot.

Eris Morn going all hive god came as a surprise to me but it really shouldn't have, since Cayde predicted this would happen in one of the audio logs he left for our guardian in the mission to acquire the Ace of Spade exotic hand cannon. He even accurately predicted the reason for her transformation being vengeance... For her ship that Cayde destroyed lol.
It will take the Drifter to get Eris back. Or it will be him to finally release her.

Honestly the first time I've actually been interested in a season themed around the Hive
Her voice actor this season is *KILLING* it. Every line she says gives me chills.
My only problem with this season is that it is the exact same risk as last season. In order to stop xivu our friend requires us to farm so that they can strengthen their connection to the hive. Our friend keeps getting whispers and we are scared they are going to become evil. I do love Eris and Sloane though so I’m still enjoying the story.
Were there members of the species that the Hive destroyed who joined the broods, not just Taken, the known- and unknown- races conquered?
i feel like we will now start to see how the hive joins our alliance with the OG enemies (maybe Eris will have her own hive or maybe Savathun will be a ally to the light/Traveller)

Hive were always my favorite aliens in destiny. Eris has always been my favorite guardian/character. The fact that she turned into a hive kind of backs up a long held theory of mind, that all the aliens in destiny are of human origin and that it’s all a metaphor, for how humans spread Across the Earth, and then, when encountering other cultures fought at first, then became allies later on. After House of light, I started to predict that we would eventually have allies from all alien factions even the Vex. Especially considering humans experimented with the Vex radiolaria To create the EXO’s, I figure since Vex can time travel they could be a version of EXO is that evolves far into the future. I think it may even be possible that some of if not all of the aliens have human origins. From stories about the hive, it almost seems as though a colony ship crash landed on a gas, giant, and somehow people evolved into the hive. Not sure about the Cabal or the fallen but the hive and the VEX seem like they could probably come from human ancestors.
This is eerily similar to Bungie's original concept for Forerunners in Halo

So We got Ikoia, Immaru, Xivu, Savathun (at the end most likely), Eris as a hive God of vengeance as Center stage of the season. With possibly drifter coming in much later. Though I’m a bit curious. What about Toland? since the center spotlight is on Eris, i’m thinking that this could be the best time for Toland to enter into some story content here. Having both Eris and Toland interacting in someway would be interesting to see.

I’ve always felt hive were the main enemies of us guardians. In all honesty , if a live action movie happens , the Hive would be at the center. I’ve always seen the cabal , the fallen , & vex as secondary enemies. Didn’t feel like the stakes were too high, unlike the the hive.
