So good! I'm a Junior currently and can't wait to apply these principles when I'm teaching in the future. My NodeSchool could definitely benefit from some Mob programming!

Ten minutes in and I'm like "This is the longest Bob Martin introduction ever..."

Core business logic in the plain old language and outside the framework! Amen! Ruby & Python development has become so shackled with Rails/Django from the get-go. I have massively reduced complexity and improved performance and clarity by doing this. Glad I'm not the only one on about this.

this mob programming thing sounds really alluring; would like to test it

How to reach an order of magnitude? By compounding effort and by compounding better decisions.

I had Lisp in university and it was a mixture between pure hate and a fun. I still prefer more object orientated languages like Java ._.

Common Lisp is really arcane. Give functional programming another shot with something like Elixir.

We hosted Rob's 11 Ounces of Elixir workshop twice in our London office, once in Nov 2015 - a partnership with Women Who Code London and once in April 2016. The reviews were very good for both, you can still see the ones from WwC here: www.meetup.com/Women-Who-Code-London/events/226057033/

he's afraid he's gonna micro-aggress a member of a minority. He's a good white diversity worshiper though. one of the tenets of progressivism is that whites need to be uncomfortable as much as possible. to pay for their white privilege.
