I'm wondering how long this clear will hold up. I'm in Texas and have no garage to park vehicle. Hopefully it won't fade. I painted my harley a few years ago with a cheap ebay paint system after 6 months it was fading.

From what I have seen, go with the Glamour Clear HS. I have seen folks say they have used this and it still looks good 6 years later after being outdoors in the South.

Do we have to sand and polish or can we just drive off after this step?

The shrink back the next day is terrible
Looks awesome after you spray it. The next day it’s all orange peel
Damn near impossible to run it I’ll give you that

UC-410 MS Clear is certainly more sensitive to heat, humidity and moisture during application and drying than our HS Glamour clear. However, this fender still looks good even un-polished. Once polished both the MS clear and HS clear look like glass.

@@paintbykevin886 Just remember, that the volume of fluid is very important. If fan pattern is set for six inches, then hold gun square with surface a 6 inches. Think like a robot the includes pattern but path. So it should look wet with a 50% overlap of last pass. If slightly dry, then move toward a 70-75% overlap. Try 3 wet coats, give it a chance to evaporate and chemically cross-link (Hooking one molecule to the next) Also, panels on a parts tree or stand, will look different when bolted on the actual vehicle. Find a short-stroke DA sander often called finishing sander, usually with a 5/16” orbital action and start dry with an 1/2” interface pad using 600g - 1,000g to create a tooth for a flow coat. This means extra work but allows one wet coat, properly mixed at the right temperature and with fan & distance in mind, spray on wet coat and let it melt into the original clear coats. It has no to little shrinkage but no “Cut & Buff”. So, basically one & done after the HS has dried completely. Many do this but charge extra if this is customer pay. But you will be shocked of the results. Done!
