Make music that connects with a fan, an that fan will never forget you, connecting could be something up lifting or something fan could relate to, pretty much just put real emotion in your work
This is gold and so encouraging to me. I'm not a rapper but more of a synth-based songwriter who does everything himself. I'm committing all the time and energy I have outside of work to write and record fun, meaningful, exciting songs that I love. Then it's going to be all about finding my audience and building my OWN industry with smart marketing and promotion... but the great music comes FIRST. People, young kids especially, LIVE by their favorite music. If you're truly an artist, that's a responsibility you have to accept and embrace and ACT on. Art is a form of responsibility, just like any leadership position.
this is by far the best advice and perspective on the industry and just on Hip Hop music in general. Every aspiring artist needs to hear this and not only hear it, but implement it into their music process.
I make music myself, and my goal it to touch the hearts of the people that have been through my situation, if it wasn’t as bad or if it was worse, we’ve all felt pain even if sometimes we try to make it seem like we don’t.
I’m aspiring to be a multi talent and I feel like this video came in my recommended videos for a reason . One day I hope to meet Kendrick Lamar and j Cole , shake their hands and tell them I looked up to them the way they looked up to nas and Andre 3000
Music is so powerful, musicians often times dont realise how strongly they're affecting and changing youth and fanbases. But still... you cant limit an artist by telling him, what he should stand for, its creative freedom. The problem is that a majority of youth doesn't have good parenting to prevent a serious impact on their lives by music glorifying drugs and violence. Leave your thoughts down below.
The way he is out of the box and don't care about what's the industry standards and doing the way he want to do, is making him a GOAT. Being out of the box is making his musics high quality
it's amazing to me how the universe has brought me back to this video. I've been stuck in a spot where I want to be something that I'm not in order to sell music or being an artist that positively influences someone else's life and I'm trying to find my way. N longer will I be stuck inside that box it's time for me to break free evolving restraints Bing who the industry wants me to be and it's time to be me. I am great I am the best rapper in the United States.
it would seem his last vid was a year ago so i assume he left the game... plus if his first comment was 3 years ago and nothing new from him, he is finished
Man imma unknown artist but this is great advice I'm still trying to attract more people to listen to my music not just for me but to understand the things behind my music
Make music that connects with a fan, an that fan will never forget you, connecting could be something up lifting or something fan could relate to, pretty much just put real emotion in your work
Or you can just enjoy the music you make and let people enjoy it however they like. Doesn't necessarily have to always be positive. Just has to do with how you feel.
this is so smart whos gonna listen to slick talk when u gota go back to this world and struggle real talk wool ymammoth resepcts this man When we ask for help, we are building community. We are doing away with this notion that we should be practicing detachment. We are rapturously attaching! We become responsible for tending to one another’s pieces. Not only is the giver allowed to express their bestowing heart, the receiver is taken into a greater tenderness of their own giving nature. As we grow our capacity for gratitude-which is another way of saying completeness or belonging-we are healing our tiny-giant part of the world’s devastating wound of scarcity.
I want to write but can't because i cant do metaphors and wordplay. I have lost most my creativity over the years trying to be like the best lyricist out there . Just putting pressure on myself
I knew this would be great advice because he is a Gemini. They are the ones who figure things out. Tupac Shakur was one of them.. every celebrity out is literally worried about nothing. money is everything and honestly it hasn't changed for them. it doesn't get boring for them. They always want more. none of them have dreams and try to keep fulfilling them. there's so much I want to do and become successful but not to be higher power. I'm not God. I want everything that comes from me to be truthful and I want to be a good role model, because we no longer have that anymore in this world
All these small musicians making videos about how to make it and making it complicated. All you gotta do to make it is enjoy making the music, believe in and be yourself and be real to yourself and everyone else.
#rezrecordz #Musicismyweapon Autistic Artist. The National Art Alliance for Mental Health and Substance Abuse. Ryan Willis aka Rezolution. got so much love for you Kendrick.
BRUH IM STEPING UP TO THE WORLD STAGE I FEEL THE SAME WAY I WILL SUCCEED I WILL BE A ROLE MAKE THE WORLD BETTER AS A RAPPING PRESIDENT SOMEDAY BUT IN THE MEAN TIME BLACK THUNDER IS FIRST AND FORMOST A MOTIVATIONAL RAP ARTIST HALLA BACK!!!!
Yo, you need to put me on bro. FR you need to. I'm out here. Look into me brotha man. I'm really trying. At this point I need some motivation. I'm outnumbered and getting gunned for. But I aint a snitch so im either gonna be jailed or die.
The more you look at music and the failure for all independents to have any real success, the more it comes down to the Big Three Labels that control 80% directly and more through parent companies, lawsuits, leverage on streaming, radio, concerts, music media. This has never been like this before in history. Let's be honest, no one here has a chance. Want proof ? You saw how big Napster got, then it was destroyed by The Big Three Labels. Can you match Napster success. Still not enough. We independent musicians have tried every trick in the book in music over 20 years and all have failed. Now let's attack the real source of the problem, The Big Three Labels. Start by asking media why they won't cover any of this! Nobody has a fair chance until we do. That has been proven year after year!
Kendrick has my respect. I don't respect a lot of rappers but Kendrick have brains and depth.
I really want to become a musician... I just gotta fight that little voice in my head that always doubts me!
Get past that step and you’ll be the happiest person alive
I’m still wondering how can I get past the voice in my head
