    That is a great proverb.

From the limited research I just did, the idea of a fixed Floyd Rose bridge was originally in Mick Thomson's first signature guitar by Ibanez, the MTM1.
That proprietary Ibanez Edge FX bridge had no intonation issues as it came tuned to Drop B from the factory.
When Thomson went to Jackson, they tried to copy it, but it seems they screwed up the saddle clearance.

Thanks for sharing this info. I guess Jackson did screw up, if Mick Thomson already plays in drop B. I am honestly not familiar with his music, so I am no aware of his tuning preferences and needs. I assumed that my customer just had a request to tune down to B, as he initially brought the guitar in standard tuning and had me change the string gauges.

@@GuitarQuackery Yeah, most of Slipknot songs are in Drop B (some even in Drop A), that's why the MTM models came in Drop B from the factory.
I don't follow him closely either, so I didn't even know he was with Jackson since 2016 until last year when he signed with ESP.
It baffles me that Jackson screwed up so badly. But then again, Fender's domestic manufacturing has gone down the drain in recent years.

I guess I should have done a little more research on this, before making the video. Thank you for taking the time to share all this information.

Love your solution, a lesser tech would have said "sorry, that's the design, nothing can be done".
Glad you've had time to shave🙂

Actually, if I let you in on a secret, the beard look was for an upcoming video, that I am currently editing. It will all make sense when you see it.

These bridges are great! For business, that is. I subscribe to the KISS principle. Just give me a wrap-around bridge/tailpiece and a P90.

I'm personally not a fan of this Floyd Rose inspired bridge (and also not a fan of the actual Floyd Rose) but it is interesting enough to make a video of it. I try to grab interesting guitars, as they cross my workbench, to make videos. Thanks for dropping by, again.
