I like the idea of cropping first if it's needed. Usually I do that last, but it does make sense to do it up front so exposure and color adjustments are accurate. I'll have to bump that up to the front of my workflow.
Hi. Your content is great. Keep it coming. Also I have a question. I have this old Sony A55 mirrorless with a kit lens lying around and it's about 9 years old. Do you think it's a good enough camera to get going with photography again or will something like a Sony Experia phone produce better results?
Thanks so much, I appreciate that! Sure, I think the A55 would be great to start with, especially as you figure out your style and direction of photography, as well as needs! If you want a phone that ALSO has that type of interface, then either Xperia would be great as well, but not necessary as a start, IMO!
@@JamesLavish Thanks. I kinda forgot about my A55 due to phone cameras getting better and better. For everyday photography all you need basically fits in your pocket. I think I need to dust it off and start planning more dedicated outdoor sessions so it makes it worthwile to take it with me. Any tips for what to shoot now when all leaves have fallen off and everything is gray and kinda dark all the time. I live in Sweden and the weather right now is really depressing...
@@pinarello74 Definitely dust it off and start playing around! I know the dark cold gray...I grew up waaaay north here in the US and remember it well. Maybe find vignettes indoors or create some still lifes. That's what I do for my videos when I just can't get somewhere interesting. Lamps and lighting are great to test settings and understand the falloff of light and how it affects exposures etc!😉✌️
When you opened the 'Lens Corrections' panel in LR the 'Enable Profile Corrections' check box seemed to be checked by default. I can't figure out how to have LR default to that? Had you checked it beforehand or is there a way to have LR check it by default? Thanks!
Hey man, no I think I just jump cut to a point where it was already toggled by accident. But if I figure out a way to default to that setting I'll let you know!

What types of photos do you take, and what software do YOU use to process them??
Been looking to get into Lr / LrC for a while now. Awesome way to get started
Thank you! 😉✌️
