Yeah this was my first Wildlands video, from like 8 months ago. I made a couple mistakes, hey it wasn't perfect. This video was like a week after the game's release. Since then I've put out probably close to 200 more videos on Wildlands lol. This was early days man.
Darkdally pain in the arse when ya make a daft mistake isnt it, especially when arseholes like me have nothing better to do than point it out. Sorry dude ✌
@@Darkdally i'd want a to adapt to the situation like if its just a few guards or a unidad(ive seen them and they look HARD!) base i feel changing weapons to fit the situation could make me last long
The MP7 fires a spitzer bullet that is pointed and not round like most other pistol caliber sub guns so It keeps its can go thorough body armor and light cover much like an assault rifle, but can also benefit from the lighter ammunition thus why you can carry more of it and still match any AR in the game. :)
David Gibb it's a 4.6mm x 30 compared to the 5.56, not sure if it'd do the exact same damage, but it's supposed to bridge the gap between assault rifles and smgs, like the P90
The P90 is the objectivly superior weapon in game and in real life. the 5.7 round is simply better than the 4.6 which is practically a HK ripoff of FNs round.
This video is years old now but I love how open minded he is whilst recording, he commonly second guesses himself and further proves his point, really easy to watch
The MP7 shoots a 4.6x30mm supersonic round that has the same penetration characteristics as the 5.56 that the M4A1 uses. It should do a bit less damage, but the penetration should be the same as basically any assault rifle.
@billy bob The 4.6x30mm round utilised by the MP7 IS specifically designed to have high armour penetration. It was designed during the cold war with the express intent of arming REMF’s with a compact weapon that could penetrate Soviet body armour. You’re quite wrong.
The MP7 fires bullets of the caliber 4.6x30mm, which is unlike the regular 9x19mm of most SMGs in the game. These special bullets' weight center is at the back of the cartridge. This causes the MP7's ammo to possess greater penetration power than other SMG calibers, because the back pushes the front through armor, so to speak. If anything, it's unrealistic that so many weapons have such comparatively weak penetration power. The F2000, P90 and Five-seveN all load one of the deadliest projectiles a small arms contraption can launch at a human, and .45 ACP, fired by the M1911 and Kriss Vector, is no slouch either.
It's likely been addressed already but the reason the damage and penetration of the MP7 is equivalent to that of an assault rifle is all to do with the round it fires. The MP7 fires a 4.6x30mm round. That may not sound like much when compared to 9x19mm or .45 ACP but the thing to remember about those rounds is that they have rounder noses and are slower and heavier. 4.6x30mm ammunition is shaped more like a rifle round. Imagine a smaller 5.56x45mm and that's essentially what the 4.6x30mm is. It offers a high amount of penetration (good for punching through thin cover like body armour) in a smaller packet which is why it's popular among the worldwide Special Forces community. In reality, the MP7 has a forty round magazine as opposed to the max thirty in Wildlands. I guess that was simply for balance reasons. But then, they retained the P90's fifty round mag so I'm not all too certain. Hope I cleared up the issue a little bit. :)
The reason the MK17 only holds 30 rounds and takes forever to load is because it replaces my sniper rifle. MK17 kicks ass. Single shot means you don't need to worry about rate of fire or handling. If MK17 had a larger mag or quicker reload then it would be DEFAULT BEST RIFLE. MK17 separates the men from boys.
All these different guns are like combinations of different styles of guns. The mk17 is like half assault rifle half lmg.. so if that's what you're looking for. If that's your play style. It was mine for a minute but then I missed higher rate of fire because it feels cool to me.
I haven't utilized a SMG throughout my gameplay, I may have to give it a try. I prefer the MK17, sniper build with a HT1 for vehicles and extremely long range. Max DMG and accuracy are what I strive for when customizing. Nice post.
mrbarber83 i used to use the mk 17... but then i relized that stealth was fairly hard to keep at close range due to the gun still being very loud even with a suppressor...
Nathan Flores if you want stealth, opt for a handgun. The 5.7's fire rate is as fast as you pull the trigger and one-shots most enemies. If you don't, then you can pop another bullet and take him out quick. Handguns are also at the max noise reduction.
i big tip for you if you are still playing. Dont listen so much to this guy, he got some good point, but really yhat much. Get the SR25 sniper rifle, preffereable the "jungle" edition, basically does't have any bullet drop and one shots everything, as secondary. And the g2 assault rifle without an suppersor, its basically the vector with more bullets as primary. Use the lady Killer as a pistol if you have it, if you dont, use tthe 5.7 usg wiht a suppressor for those stealthy short range things.
For ages I used Mk17, PSG1 and 5.7. Occasionally I'd swap for MP7, MSR and 1911 Marsoc. Now it's R4, P12 and whatever the mission requires for my secondary. Could be the Barrett, could be the HTI, could be a suppressed subgun, who knows. It gets pretty monotonous when everyone in the party has an ACR/M4 + HTI and everyone is doing every role at the same time.
I actually really like the Mk17 (or better known as the SCAR-H), but I get people have their own preferences. You nailed it when you said that there's no real "correct" loadout.
The Lady Killer holds 10 less rounds than the 5.7, so a 20 round mag. I use it. The small trade off is worth the look of the gun to me. The other stats are comparable. I generally only use a pistol anyway when in stealth so it's one shot kills anyway right.
Pro tip about the MK17 though, the dots on the Digital scope when using a standard barrel line up EXACTLY for each hundred meter mark (4th dot = 400m etc). I started running the standard barrel over the long barrel for this, it makes consistently getting long range shots if you range find or just get used to the ranges VERY easy. Not sure if its like this for every assault rifle but just something to note.
Interesting video but very subjective if i may say so. I'll try to point out some of the things i found by testing and experimenting. 1. long barrel on AR is pointless. Why? Because in stealth builds the extra damage is irrelevant and in open combat it increases the recoil severely reducing your ability to quickly reacquire targets and keep the gun on point during long bursts. Only sensible use is on high-damage guns when You go semiauto (i.e. Mk17 or AK47). 2. mag size is overrated, it only comes into play when You get cornered out of position and need to put out a lot of rounds. On higher difficulty being exposed for that long means death so You never really benefit from them since You can reload often when in cover or relocating. 3. vertical grips are the worst in terms of recoil reduction. Short shift and AFG are much better, even GL gives better results in most cases (i guess because it adds so much weight). 4. some optics actally affect felt recoil (don't ask me how, ubi just made it so), try comparing panoramic to digital scope (which is not 2.5-3.5 despite what it says, it's same level of zoom as panoramic by default) and you'll find that digital doesn't shake anywhere near as much. Actual bullets go to the same places but it's easier to keep your eye on target. 5. suppressor lowers felt recoil (not much tho) on most guns. On a personal note and in my experience SMGs are just a gimmick weapon for giggles, not a competition to AR. The only benefit is with the ones that max out noise reduction stat but You can do that with a handgun when sneaking. They have more unpredictable recoil compared to ARs (unless You make a mistake of using long barrel) and suffer at longer range and in open combat. If You like fast firing option i suggest trying M4A1 with standard barrel, laser, M203GL, digital scope, 30 or 50 rd mag (i use 30 because it looks better) and suppressor. Recoil is very low, it's very accurate and kills quickly thanks to high ROF. If You prefer high damage option i'd suggest SR3M (same mods as M4) for obvious reasons of being almost as powerful as Mk17 or AK but having much higher ROF. Ps. sorry for the wall of text.
Michal S. all choices in this game are tactical. You need to choose pretty much anything based on the mission/task not stats.stats help to a point but the feel of any weapon setup is going to vary for each user. Find what suits the mission and Everything else is falls into place.
42vlogs i use 30-rd personally for looks and rp, but if You don't care about that You can run 50 for even lower recoil (yes, bigger mags do lower it). How often do You run 40+ rounds into enemies without getting killed because of exposure time or having opportunities to reload? Unless You play on casual and just run'n'gun mag capacity rarely comes into play.
Capt Trdl did You even read? I said specifically it makes sense on high damage guns like Mk17. It doesn't make sense on a gun that has low recoil as a part of it's strength because You ruin it by adding lb and it won't make it powerful anyway, You'd be better off just using a powerful gun than trying to make a weak gun into something it just won't be. All You accomplish this way is a gun that's still weak (compared to Mk17, AK or SR3M) but has recoil as heavy as those powerful ones. What's the point? Play guns to their strengths, don't try to make them into something they're not and won't be. Sb on the other hand makes recoil even lower and the damage drop is irrelevant because You need more rounds to kill to begin with and 1 more makes no difference with a high rof-low recoil gun because You can just keep firing instead of having to burst it because of recoil added by lb. Sure, everyone plays their own way and finds what works for them, but a lot of people think that lb is the better choice because it adds damage (and more is better obviosly) and i did enough hours of experimenting and comparisons with all of the ARs to know that simply isn't the case for most of them. Oh and btw Mk14 is a DMR.
TacticsTechniques&Procedures honestly i find it's better to find guns/mods/equip to suit Your style and stick with those, this game lacks mission variety to really need a considered approach when it comes to loadout other than grabbing a Smg for base infiltrations or Lmg for defense missions. Do You honestly tailor Your AR for every mission and feel it makes significant difference? I'm genuinely curious.
My current setup is the "muddy bones" HTI suppressed and M4A1 un-suppressed. I like to switch to a suppressed Vector for stealth base intrusions (I used to use suppressed pistol, but in Tier 1 I need more stopping power). I have my own little "realism rule" that I can only swap-out guns and accessories at ammo boxes, or if I'm in the middle of nowhere, at my vehicle. Thanks for the video, I might give the MP7 a shot as replacement for Vector.
I did a little experiment and i am using the Tar-21 with Optic: micro T-1 Rail: Rail Cover Barrel: standard barrel Muzzle: Compensator V2 Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip Magazine: Large (50) Full Auto Semi And i put the same attachments on the mp7 that you are using and the only things that went in minus on my Tar-21 was Rate of fire and noise Reduction.
It’s an odd choice, but I really like to set up all of my guns for mid range engagements. It’s where I find myself most of the time, so I like to use the ACR with the SRSA1. My opinion is that the SRSA1 is the most versatile sniper rifle. Shoots helicopters down in 3 shots without tier upgrades, can do fairly long range shots, does well in close range. The only thing that sucks is the reload time. As for the ACR, it can do everything, close range, sometimes when I run out of bullets, I can switch to the ACR to snipe consistently until about 400 meters.
I use the 556xi with a 50 round magazine and grenade launcher and with a V2 Compensator because it is a very powerful assault rifle with a solid rate of fire, huge mag and the grenade launcher is great for taking down cars and helicopters and for the second holster I use the Mk14 Sniper rifle with a Surpressor because it is basically a sniper with automatic fire so I can take down groups of enemies from a distance very quickly and I use the Lady Killer Pistol that you unlock when defating Antonio. It's the perfect Loadout for me and it works for everything
The Mk17 Is a carbon copy of the SCAR-H assualt rifle. The SCAR-H is a hard hitting, powerful AR designed to be tap-fired and pares really well along side a high RPM SMG. My preferred weapon is the SCAR-H in real life because while it may only have 20 bullets in the mag, and a slower RPM than most ARs, but it hits like a freight train.
MegaMouth YT The SCAR-L has a smaller barrel and is designed to be outfitted with a 30 round mag, the SCAR-H and Mk17 have the same muzzle velocity, same barrel length, same barrel radius (meaning same ammo type), same recoil pattern, and same gun weight. Making the SCAR-H and Mk17 almost perfectly identical.
Stroke the Forge The SCAR-L fires 5.56 while the SCAR-H fires 7.62. The SCAR-H typically has a smaller barrel than the Mk17. The Mk17 has different ergonomics and is meant to function as a DMR similar to the SR-25.
The MK17 and SCAR-H are the names of the 7.62 variant. It comes in standard with a 16 inch barrel, a cqb one with a 13 inch barrel and a sniper version with a 20 inch barrel. In other words, it's the same rifle regardless of which one you feel like calling it at the time and what upper you have on at the moment.
Hey man! I just bought wildlands yesterday so i was browsing around looking for some tips on weapons and such. I definitely liked your videos more compared to a lot of other youtubers, Lots of good info about stats and how they apply to the game itself. Thoroughly impressed! i'll be sure to continue to check out your vids, keep up the good work buddy!
The mp7 has good penetration because, now I don't remember the caliber, but it is a rifle shaped round. It has a point instead of being round like most pistol/and rounds. Just like the 5.7 and p90.
Remington designed the ACR for versatility, it literally stands for adaptive combat rifle and is marketed for bridging the gap in handling, maneuverability and weight between SMGs and Battle/Assault Rifles and the range and accuracy gap between aforementioned Assault Rifles and DMRs. My personal favourite loadout is my SR25 due to it being quick in a pinch but you’re able to reach out and touch someone from a reasonable engagement distance paired with either a shortened up AR or an SMG with some decent range. That way in a shitty spot if I run dry on ammo for a certain weapon, the other can effectively take its place.
Good insights. I think the FAMAS AR would be the superior choice though. Rate of fire, range, accuracy, decent handling. I think you get the best of both worlds. I currently run a MSR/FAMAS load out; great combo for CQB, Mid-range, and Long-range.
Hey man, thank you for your time and effort putting these gear guides together and explaining the game metrics. Some people forget that it's JUST A GAME and want to get OVERLY technical about some dumb $h!t! But some of us appreciate the time you put in. Keep up the good work! 🤘
Usually, I run the r5 with a compensator instead of a suppressor, and the mp7 in place of a silenced handgun because I run the Desert eagle. In my experience, the mp7 is good if you can pick your engagements, not fight head on like with the vector.
I haven't used it yet. I want to. I've always been fond of this weapon.... I guess its low damage has kinda kept me from it so far in this game. I'm doing weekly builds now though, and will certainly be going over every weapon over the course of this series of videos, so I do look forward to seeing what I can do with it, and what kind of roles it can perform.
ballzack57 at least humblebrag is added to the dictionary, what can you say with a screen name like ballzack57 lol! #facts #yourajoke #getoffmyballs lmfao!!!! 😂
What I find funny is everyone prefers different weapons (some like the BEST ones) and in my opinion all guns kill the enemies in just about the same shots... Just use which ever guns you like and just use them... I usually roll with the Vector / SR25 / Lady Killer (HTI if I have to take out a helicopter or Jammers etc)
I prefer to use HTI over the MSR. MSR might have better fire rate and more ammo but HTI is great for vehicles specially Choppers. If I need a fast firing Sniper Rifles I would rather use MK14 over MSR. At first I was worried with SMG range over Assault Rifle but I noticed I use the Assault Rifle more in close range to mid range engagements which SMG's can still be effective. I don't use Grenade Launchers attachments since I have my HTI for vehicles. I think just like with many other FPS games there are gun that will stand out compared to its peers but in the end it will all depend on the player's personal play style.
Paolo Santos Once you get the Adv Suppressor perk you get the same stats as a sniper w/o a suppressor. MSR with that perk is better than HTI since it has more penetration and noise reduction making it the best Sniper Rifle in the game.
I hope you can handle constructive criticism. mp7 have highest penetration, but who the hell shoots cars from close range?since you are so close, you can throw the grenade on them. smgs are used for cqc infantry and vector is above mp7 in stats and vector is the only smg that can have compensator. you are talking about best AR's and you are not mentioning g2 and ak12? lol. speaking of AR's, best underbarrel for them is graeade launcher. this is not the personal choice. that is how it is. on top of that, you are telling me that laser sight is better and you don't even have 3dot unlocked? i see you love suppressors.nothing wrong about that. but why are you picking msr? it is not the best for anti-vehicle weapon and it sure isn't best sniper for infantry. you can't make sniper rifle with mk17, because there is no long range scope for AR's in wildlands. mk17 sucks and if you really wanna do that type of the weapon, why are you not picking sr25? it has same stats as mk17 but much better handling and it has better penetration. and now when you know that sr25 is better than mk17, take a closer look between sr25 and g28. the only way I would pick mk17 over dmr's is to have grenade launcher attachment, but I would never do that. and smg's will never replace AR's in wildlands. AR's can shoot the target without any problem from point blank all the way to 350 meters. (weapon swapping time is crucial in some situations like reload time) I am sorry, but I have to dislike this video, but I can give you sub. I like your voice. if you wanna check how best loadout looks like, check my video. cheers.
All noted. Than you for subscribing. I think I could have done better to be honest, and I constantly test and do try to make my info better and based on more experience each time. I've had a few negative comments here, and while I didn't expect this video to get the views it did, it did and I got the feedback I need to do better testing. thanks for your time you took to point those things out.
Can I just say something about the last few seconds? You said try a "two SMG" build or something like that. I would highly advise not using two weapons from the same class in a loadout, as they actually share the same ammo pool, meaning you'll probably find yourself running dry a lot more often than you'd like.
For efficiency, no you wouldn't. But I'm doing some videos on custom themed builds for fun/roleplay value and while sure it wouldn't be totally legit, but I may have some fun builds/loadouts in the future that use some unconventional weapon combinations to fit the character.
I've been running the 556xi with the MSR. I can pretty much one shot anything since my vehicle damage is all the way up, and the 556xi has the penetration, range and damage close to that of the SCAR with the addition of rate of fire... also 50 round mag
Handling is a very important stat that can be both good and/or bad. What does that mean, do you ask? Handling directly relates to your turning speed when ADS (aiming down sights); high handling increases your sensitivity, low handling decreases it. For consoles where your turn speed is limited by the game itself you want to be able to turn quickly for CQB; for PC (like myself) your turning speed is only limited by how fast you can turn the mouse. Having your sensitivity crank through the roof with a high-handling gun really, really hurts your accuracy once you've dialed in the aim sensitivity to work with a low handling weapon like a sniper rifle. I find myself missing more shots because my sensitivity flies way the hell up with an SMG than I do with an AR or an LMG. Keep in mind also that when hipfiring there's a split second time from when you hit the trigger and your character shoulders the weapon and begins firing - having an LMG allows you to continue to mag dump as you cycle through targets without magazine issues unlike a high fire rate AR or SMG.
In all my experience over the months since I posted this video, I'd have to agree with you. They're all equal enough, and the game is easy enough that you can really use what you want.
A short barreled unsuppressed ACR with an M203 and a suppressed G28 do me pretty well. One's for big fire fights, the other's for long to medium range quiet engagements. Five Seven for stealth kills.
how on earth do you have so high stats on most weapons? My vector for exampel isn't even close to your vector in terms of stats. It's like half on most of them
MaxxxMaxMaxx are you in tier one? It brings down the stats on guns. But it makes the mp7 the best choice for stealth because it is still almost silent.
At first i liked the tar. Then I switched to the 556. Then I tried the mp7.. one of the first guns I got in the game was the sr3m and it's still listed as my favorite. Second the mk17. Really trying to dial in my favorite gun but right now it's the mp7.. also the p90 was in there too.. I keep finding one that's slightly better for different reasons. Really started noticing how assault rifles take 2 seconds to aim so paid more attention to handling. They snap up fast if it has a lot of handling.
Mp7 has similar penetration, because of the round it shoots. 4.6×30mm I believe. At one time, and maybe now, you couldn't purchase those bullets because they are made to pierce.
I totally agree on the MP5 being garbage... In the beginning I always threw it away for a picked up Bizon, the stopping power of the latter meant that I could bring down the bad guys in 1-2 shots while the MP5 in the same region took 5-6 at least.
max handling vector + DMR-MK17. Overall, it depends on your play style. I have my vector/scar class different than you, but that's because I wanted extra handling over range, I stopped using suppressors so my range and penetration don't slaughtered. Also, the MP7 uses a weird 4.5mm round hence the penetration. The P90 and 5.7 use a similar 5.7mm round. They're meant to be a cross between assault rifles and smg's.
The mk17 is chambered in 7.62x51mm nato. It's a larger round then the 5.56x45mm nato so it can not fit as many rounds as the m4. The SR635 is a PDW version of the m4/ar15 platform
I've experimented with damn near every gun in the game. I always come back to this: R4 - Ext. Stock - Micro T-1 - Full Auto/3 Burst - Extended 30 Mag - GP25 Grenade Launcher - Laser 3Dot - Long Barrel - Suppressor It has everything you need from close to semi long range conflict. Full Auto is perfect for close up, 3 round for medium, tap the trigger for long range. The variable zoom scope makes great long range headshots easy as hell. Grenade Launcher for when vehicles arrive. It is the perfect combo of accuracy/damage/range. It has not failed me yet. BFG-50A - T5Xi Tactical 6x zoom - Long Barrel - Suppressor This is solely used for extremely long range personnel/vehicle elimination. Suppressor for if enemies are nearby but I need to eliminate vehicles. This can be substituted but it's always handy to have. 5.7 USG - Extended Mag - 3dot laser - Suppressor Perfect for close up stealth kills. Noise reduction is 100% while maintaining the highest damage for a suppressed semi auto pistol. Headshots are one hit kill, body shots, you can to take people out effortlessly before they can alert anyone. If shit pops off I switch to the R4. But I often find myself using this often for more of a challenge, but given how OP of a pistol it is, it's not that much more of a challenge regardless. This is my personal loadout. Might be missing some attachments I haven't found yet. Maybe you have something that works better for you but this is my go-to. It's worth a try if you're unsure what loadout to use.
I don't know guns as well as most of you posting , but I've gamed plenty. Just wanted to add an observation of mine, ...I used to use the HTI (mainly for the helos) and an AR (often the Aug for CQC) as my build, now late game I've discovered the joy of El Chido's !UY! along with an AR equiped with grenade launcher. That Grenade Launcher will tear most long range enemies up as well as Drone Jammers, ground vehicles etc. Try the UY out on helicopters, (even tho a 20mag) it will surpringly tear thru them! My point, I can easily go CQC now or Range w/o worrying if I have a sniper equipped "accidently" or inconveniently while in CQC. Good video!
I'm trying to imagine lugging a Mk 17 around with a 50-round magazine, that thing would be HEAVY. 50 rounds of 7.62x51mm is a hell of a lot heavier than 50 rounds of 5.56x45mm - the 7.62 is over twice the mass of the 5.56.
Just caught your video and I have to say that my favorite "assault" rifle is the mk14. Like honest truth, I use it as a mid to long range dmr with full auto\burst. Normally the G28 scope or ACOG. Also smacked that sub and bell. Keep up the good work.
The MP7 uses bullets that can shoot throu bulletproof vests. In Norway the mp7 is one of the standard weapons and i remember the US did not want us to bring it, cuz they where afraid that the insurgents got a hold of the bullets and would copy them
The mk 17 is a great long range to use together with a smaller secondary weapon. It will shoot through giant stone pillars in the game. Used as a sniper / lots of damage / vehicle destroyer / kill people behind cover it is great. Love the MP7 with its longer range and accuracy and very low recoil. Most of the time I use Tar-21 with 50 mag for good handling with great range and damage with MK-17 for longer range / more damage. I actually used to love the SCAR in Rainbow Six Vegas as a sniper rifle as well.
Handling is just your ADS time and the speed that you move down sights. The Mk-17 is essentially a DMR that can go fully auto and has almost no recoil. It doesn't need a large mag because of its accuracy and damage. When PVP comes around I imagine it can be pretty good at counter sniping.
Penetration is imo the most important stat next to damage. I'll take the p90 over both the mp7 or vector. Higher damage, larger magazine, and higher penetration, while only sacrificing a very small amount of ROF. Mp7 is my favorite SMG tho in terms of customization and overall looks.
I read somewhere the LVOC is a great lil AR that tries to mitigate bullet drop, so less physics and calculus when you are in the heat of battle. That would shave off time to getting on target. Perhaps despite the LVOC's disadvantages, the lower bullet drop could still keep it in the running as a AR-as-a-sniper option?
Im already getting a chub from the thumbnail and description alone cause I have alwayd felt some kind of way to the MP7. Cant wait to watch this whole vid. Also because your vids randomly showed up in my recommended, ive installed the game today and will likely start playing again after Just Cause 3. Im a late bloomer on games since I got old and focused on work.
SR-25, and 6P41, with the P12 for close in work. I never used any of the SMGs for longer than a few minutes, and while I did mess around with the ARs, the LMGs ability to chew through everything I fought made up for any shortcomings.
the MP7 actually does have great penetration, you're not necessarily shooting regular pistol ammo, the 4.6x30mm ammo along with the 5.7x30 was created for sub machine guns to be able to get through body armor where normal pistol ammo just can't.
Personally find I like the HTI better than most sniper rifles. It has more use to it in my view. Need to snipe a guy, can do. Need to disable a vehicle that an HVT or NPC is trying to escape in, can do. Got 2 Unidad choppers on you and need to take them out, can do.
1: The Mk17 is usually used as a DMR, and is entirely made for that role in the game since the short barrell is not short enough for that role. 2: The DMG and PEN of the MP-7 is justified since it fires a 4.7mm AP round; similar to the P90 and FN 5.7's round. Technically, both the MP7 and P90 are PDWs, since they do not fire a convention pistol round
I used to run the MP7 with T1/Magnifier and Scar H with TA31H or FAL with TA31H. Then I found how the ACR works well in an SBR configuration and since I own one in real life, I started running that with a bolt action. Now I run a level 22 MK18 with Digital scope (Elcan) and swap my second rifle depending on task. That MK18 is a beast and has the damage level of the higher powered sniper rifles but handles like the MP7.
The Scar H I used to use all the time as a sniper and can kill easily out to 400 with the ACOG. I only run 30 rd mags since it more realistic and I’m generally running the rifles on semi anyway.
Don’t have a ton of buddies that are that much more experienced than I am so when I need advice I look to your vids. I normally rock an MK17 with a sniper build or a Stealth A3 and a Sniper for 150M + and vehicles.
I have used the MK17 and MSR with all 3 of my character's. I would love to use another gun but these are the best for my style of play. Now I do my penetration weapons and I plan on using the MP7 just for that alone. I wish I had known cause so many enemies hide behind stuff and if you had higher penetration weapons you would not have to deal with other mobs as much if you missed a shot. Thanks for letting me know about that little bit cause my only other weapon I got for Penetration is my Unidad LMG gun I bought but I can't change to add a silencer to it.
In the early game a ran around with the Mk 17 because that´s what all the enemies use and thus ammo was always available. Later i went for the Steyr AUG as it´s the only AR i ever fired in real life (Austrian here, i served with it). When it comes to Submachine guns, i really like the P90 for it´s 50-shot mag and the Stargate look. 5-7 as pistol was my standard anyway. I rarely used MGs, but the next playthrough i want to try them some more, the Stoner impressed me quite a bit.
good Vid bro, the only are where the vector lacks is penetration but as far as once you're in a base it is a beast. it's like having a fully automatic super accurate pistol that you can even select single round burst, I love it. need to get the mp7 still however. I play much the same way I'll use a msr+acr or tar-21 until I'm within 200M then I swap my sniper for a smg as any target at 200m or less is easy to deal with using an assault with the right build. then once you're nice and close its all smg. all in all you nailed it, it's all about how you use weapons there are so many different ways to customize that "best" weapons are for the main part fairly objective to the user. you got yourself a sub and like, keep making good content brother.
i consider smg a special situation weapon, like an lmg or sniper rifle. so for me, it is always an all purpose assault rifle, paired with something like a sniper rifle or SMG.
the MP7 fires the high velocity 4.6x30mm round that resembles a small rifle bullet. muzzle velocity coupled with the bullets pointy shape helps it defeat level IIIA soft body armor with ease.
EVLfreak666 I know this is a game and I love using this gun in it. But food for thought: In real life it and the P90, which fires the 5.7mm are basically a hopped up .17 HMR (a varmint cartridge that is great to teach kids fundamental shooting). I don't like this round or the five seven for a primary role in real life. The SWAT team in my area actually switched from P90's to AR15's after shooting a guy 15 times with the 5.7 round and he still didn't go down and injured one of the officers. the suspect is actually still alive. The only way that I like these intermediate bottleneck rounds is in the FN FiveseveN pistol because of that massive capacity that you get with it, good concealability, and peneration.
they don't fire the same round and you're comparing a 20 inch gun with a 30 inch gun, they don't fill the same role either. Also the mp7 is a much more effective PDW(not smg) than the p90.
He modified acr but then said lets compare it to others but had mk17 equipped. ??
Yeah this was my first Wildlands video, from like 8 months ago. I made a couple mistakes, hey it wasn't perfect. This video was like a week after the game's release. Since then I've put out probably close to 200 more videos on Wildlands lol. This was early days man.
Darkdally pain in the arse when ya make a daft mistake isnt it, especially when arseholes like me have nothing better to do than point it out. Sorry dude ✌
Yhuhughu
@@Darkdally i'd want a to adapt to the situation like if its just a few guards or a unidad(ive seen them and they look HARD!) base i feel changing weapons to fit the situation could make me last long
He is a vetran frop 1990s
The MP7 fires a spitzer bullet that is pointed and not round like most other pistol caliber sub guns so It keeps its can go thorough body armor and light cover much like an assault rifle, but can also benefit from the lighter ammunition thus why you can carry more of it and still match any AR in the game. :)
I've gotten many comments like yours explaining the damage and penetration of the MP7. It's really good to know. Thanks for pointing this out!
David Gibb it's the same idea as the 5.7 pistol which is why it's my favorite pistol in this game
David Gibb it's a 4.6mm x 30 compared to the 5.56, not sure if it'd do the exact same damage, but it's supposed to bridge the gap between assault rifles and smgs, like the P90
The P90 PDW fires the same round as the 5.7x28mm pistol and is the rough equivalent to the 4.6x30mm. P90 also has a 50 round magazine.
Is the best assault rifle an SMG? No, because grenade launcher.
Yeah, also the range.
Bernard Richardson exatctly
Bernard Richardson with hti you can pop helicopters also frags
I only use stealth, going loud is to easy with any gun!
I take care of helicopters with the explosive drone. You can even follow them and shove the drone into the cockpit haha.
The MK17 works better as a DMR than an AR
Talk about looks and then equip folded stocks.
Disgraceful, I say!
lol, nice one. It comes down to personal preference on that one. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
The MP7 shoots a 4.6x30mm supersonic round that has the same penetration characteristics as the 5.56 that the M4A1 uses. It should do a bit less damage, but the penetration should be the same as basically any assault rifle.
No it doesn't there's a reason its used by police not special forces and thats because of it lack of penetration and damage
@billy bob The 4.6x30mm round utilised by the MP7 IS specifically designed to have high armour penetration. It was designed during the cold war with the express intent of arming REMF’s with a compact weapon that could penetrate Soviet body armour. You’re quite wrong.
@@billybob-gb6ol german elite forces use the mp7 do your point is invalid
6:34 the MP7 was especially designed to penetrate light body armor. You already can see it with the special ammunition the MP7 fires.
MK17 separates the men from boys.
agree
im using the mk17 but i like de MK14 also, and with de G28 scope you can easly swap between sniper en asault rifle. (sorry for bd english ;P)
All these different guns are like combinations of different styles of guns. The mk17 is like half assault rifle half lmg.. so if that's what you're looking for. If that's your play style. It was mine for a minute but then I missed higher rate of fire because it feels cool to me.
@Todd M no we Got MK16 Finally
I use the mk17 w/ elcan and suppressor. Still one shot and I use semi auto so I dont burn ammo. Easily the best
Handguns are also at the max noise reduction.
nathan learn to use your pistol or stay on the move when they hear u and u will be ok.
Only for the comstation building clearings it's the only gun i have on automatic
I actually that exact same loadout, only instead of the regular HTI, I use the Desert HTI you get from the Tiers.

I know this is like three years after you made this video, but I am just getting into Wildlands and thank you so much for the tips.
i big tip for you if you are still playing.
You're my go to now for any GRW weapon questions. Appreciate how thorough you are testing them. Earned a sub.
Thanks man. I've done a lot in the 6 or so months since this video too, btw. A lot more precise testing. Thanks for the sub man!
The Laser Beam: Famas with 50 round mag, Foregrip v2, short or standard barrel, compensator v2
I actually really like the Mk17 (or better known as the SCAR-H), but I get people have their own preferences. You nailed it when you said that there's no real "correct" loadout.
MK 17, HTI, and 5.7 for life.
Explosive drone never hurts either
I do prefer the ACR. Better rate of fire.
IEM Drone for the win...
How does the 5.7 compare to the lady killer ?
The Lady Killer holds 10 less rounds than the 5.7, so a 20 round mag. I use it. The small trade off is worth the look of the gun to me. The other stats are comparable. I generally only use a pistol anyway when in stealth so it's one shot kills anyway right.
Machin Truc when u get the extended mag u get 30 mag
Also helps when you get the perk that the suppressor doesn't alter the damage. Yeah, I like the looks of the weapon with the suppressor on.
Thanks! I'll try to keep that in mind.
Michal S. you say mag size is overrated but you use 30-50 round mag
Michal S. all choices in this game are tactical.
L115A3, P90 or MP7, best penetration for CQC drops Unidade and heavy enemies faster, 5.7 or 1911 for sneaky room kills
I did a little experiment and i am using the Tar-21 with
Optic: micro T-1
Rail: Rail Cover
Barrel: standard barrel
Muzzle: Compensator V2
Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
Magazine: Large (50)
Full Auto Semi
And i put the same attachments on the mp7 that you are using and the only things that went in minus on my Tar-21 was Rate of fire and noise Reduction.
TAR , HTI AND 5.7
It’s an odd choice, but I really like to set up all of my guns for mid range engagements.
P90 and SPAS-12 for indoors, P-90 and MSR for city fighting, M17 w/ launcher and HTI for invading bases. I love these loadouts.
Stroke the Forge The MK17 is a version of the Scar, like the Scar H or Scar L, the Mk17 is a version.
"It's hurting my stats" looks at the stats and sees a tiny difference in one of the stats. I just starting laughing my ass off.
The mp7 has good penetration because, now I don't remember the caliber, but it is a rifle shaped round. It has a point instead of being round like most pistol/and rounds. Just like the 5.7 and p90.
.45 longslide with laser sighting, uzi 9 mm, 12 gauge shotgun, but where’s the plasma rifle in the 40 watt range ?
6:41 The reason the MP7 has such a high penetration is because it’s a PDW that was made for the purpose of penetrating Kevlar armor.
I was using the mp7 rather than the vector so I appreciate your video confirming what I already suspected... That I am a genius
Forgot to mention 50 mag size
But it’s french
I find that the smgs are really fun to use. Currently rocking the scorpion Evo and spas 12. CQC is super fun
In my experience, the mp7 is good if you can pick your engagements, not fight head on like with the vector.
the G2 AR is worth a try by the way. High rate of fire and fires like a lazer

Paolo Santos Instead of Mk-14 would you not prefer the G28?
Paolo Santos MSR has more penetration than the HTI, its better for anti vehicle I believe.
Paolo Santos Once you get the Adv Suppressor perk you get the same stats as a sniper w/o a suppressor. MSR with that perk is better than HTI since it has more penetration and noise reduction making it the best Sniper Rifle in the game.
P90 has a 50 round mag. To me that puts it above any other SMG. Great video. I also run SMG sniper with my Mk17 on standby for certain Ops.

Also each gun is completely different depending on the attachments. You can customize a gun to be a completely different gun.
(weapon swapping time is crucial in some situations like reload time)
I am sorry, but I have to dislike this video, but I can give you sub. I like your voice.

Eroktic Gaming And you both just earned a sub from me pretty new to the game and these tips help quite a bit .
Thanks!
Eroktic Gaming Any gun is good if you actually know where to use it. you clearly dont.
I personally like the mk17 and I think it doesn't suck but at the end it just depends how you like to play
Your video presentation is phenomenal. Keep these coming.
I can pretty much one shot anything since my vehicle damage is all the way up, and the 556xi has the penetration, range and damage close to that of the SCAR with the addition of rate of fire... also 50 round mag
what about the 556xi assault rifle? to me that is my favorite..
StopANDgoFAST It goes perfectly for my Rainbow six siege character.
StopANDgoFAST I'm using it now, when I took a look at the MP7, it was shit compared to the 556xi, even when fully customized.
Best AR imo. Highest damage next to the MK17, largest magazine, highest penetration combined. Can be morphed into a single shot smg sniper.
Keep in mind also that when hipfiring there's a split second time from when you hit the trigger and your character shoulders the weapon and begins firing - having an LMG allows you to continue to mag dump as you cycle through targets without magazine issues unlike a high fire rate AR or SMG.
i only go for style and looks in my customization, i don't care about stats.
In all my experience over the months since I posted this video, I'd have to agree with you. They're all equal enough, and the game is easy enough that you can really use what you want.
why so rude?
Then, it's totally pointless to talk about stats since they don't matter at all . Why the hell do they add stats then ?? That's ridiculous
MP7 damage has been nerfed. It's 3 times less now than on you video.
So whats the best smg now?
@@WattsonFence96 PP19, great range and best mag for smgs
Mp7 has similar penetration, because of the round it shoots. 4.6×30mm I believe. At one time, and maybe now, you couldn't purchase those bullets because they are made to pierce.
I use the P90 Doorkicker and the MK17
I totally agree on the MP5 being garbage...
In the beginning I always threw it away for a picked up Bizon, the stopping power of the latter meant that I could bring down the bad guys in 1-2 shots while the MP5 in the same region took 5-6 at least.
Am I the only one that uses the LMG and Sniper combo?
Ricardo R. Yes
Borris no

Yes you are
max handling vector + DMR-MK17.

Smg can hold more bullets but also take more bullets to kill!
in my opinion ak12 is the best assault rifle!
Explosive Teddy if you could slap a short barrel on it I would agree with you.
I choose the Kriss Vector in every game that has it, and the MP7 as well. Tiger Fang assault rifle is my constant back up, and the joker 357 mag
Terry Hesticles I choose the mp7 in every game that has it
Unfourtunatley there is no best gun its all biased.
Police 159 i would say thats a good thing. you can use most guns with success and i think thats good in a game cause you can play however you want
Well, shit. Lol, what was the damn point then for all the videos about which is the best weapon
Tip: Acquire the perk asap that removes the power/damage decrease from suppressors. Especially important for sniping.
I've experimented with damn near every gun in the game. I always come back to this:
R4 - Ext. Stock - Micro T-1 - Full Auto/3 Burst - Extended 30 Mag - GP25 Grenade Launcher - Laser 3Dot - Long Barrel - Suppressor
It has everything you need from close to semi long range conflict. Full Auto is perfect for close up, 3 round for medium, tap the trigger for long range. The variable zoom scope makes great long range headshots easy as hell. Grenade Launcher for when vehicles arrive. It is the perfect combo of accuracy/damage/range. It has not failed me yet.
BFG-50A - T5Xi Tactical 6x zoom - Long Barrel - Suppressor
This is solely used for extremely long range personnel/vehicle elimination. Suppressor for if enemies are nearby but I need to eliminate vehicles. This can be substituted but it's always handy to have.
5.7 USG - Extended Mag - 3dot laser - Suppressor
Perfect for close up stealth kills.
In Norway the mp7 is one of the standard weapons and i remember the US did not want us to bring it, cuz they where afraid that the insurgents got a hold of the bullets and would copy them
The mk17 rocks! It puts people down pretty easily and it's accurate at distance. Serves a DMR role with a full auto feature.
Its interesting how your favorite vertical grip is actually an accu-shot monopod in the real world anyway
It was my main gun in Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Tge unwashed masses gravitate to the vector but only trve patritian's of taste like us choose the MP7
This is good and insightful. I hate to compare but most channels just blast through the game not even thinking it through. So yeah keep ut up.
I only run 30 rd mags since it more realistic and I’m generally running the rifles on semi anyway.
the thumbnail reminded me of medal of Honor warfighter... what a great game I miss it.
One of the very few things they did right on this game was the weapon balancing you can use the weapons through the whole game and not have a problem.
I'm a sniper guy, i have the BFG and the Deimos Bow 👌
I like Mk 17/M4A1 + SPAS-12 + 5.7 USG as close range infiltration loadout, starting off with mid range.
I'm rocking the MP7 as my primary as well. Good choice
In the early game a ran around with the Mk 17 because that´s what all the enemies use and thus ammo was always available.
Later i went for the Steyr AUG as it´s the only AR i ever fired in real life (Austrian here, i served with it).
When it comes to
Submachine guns, i really like the P90 for it´s 50-shot mag and the Stargate look.
@Darkdally Hi, I just got the game, would you still recommend this loadout in 2023? Thanks :)
i consider smg a special situation weapon, like an lmg or sniper rifle. so for me, it is always an all purpose assault rifle, paired with something like a sniper rifle or SMG.
the MP7 fires the high velocity 4.6x30mm round that resembles a small rifle bullet. muzzle velocity coupled with the bullets pointy shape helps it defeat level IIIA soft body armor with ease.
Franz Hayes 5.7 is a .22 caliber round like the 5.56.
