Riverside Lowrider Cruise Night 04/27/2024 Alaniz Beatz

The sequel to the Main St Riverside Lowrider Cruise Night was suppose to have cracked off like the previous time we were out this way. Unfortunately the event was shut down by PD. As to why, I'm not sure but all these cruise nights have been getting shut down in various cities and that makes it a bit difficult to bring y'all content. Well anyway, this event was relocated to a park which at first I didn't understand which one so I assumed it was over at Fairmount.
Well my girl and I headed over to Fairmount but the turnout wasn't was we were expecting and as I was about to video what was at the park, the lowriders there were leaving. I then got word that it was being held at a different park and from there my girl and I followed them and we ended up to Hunter Park. I know in the video, my homie from Street Riders said "we're going to Hunter Park" but at the moment, I didn't catch what he said lol
So as we arrive at Hunter Park, things were cracking! But I was worried about this new location being shut down as well so when we arrived I got to work quickly! I wanted to go around each car for the detailed shots but with the police in the back of my mind, I figured the best bet was to walk by the rides and catch a few cruisers on video. I did go around a few low lows for the detailed shots but it wasn't how I usually like them. Any how, the police and their ghetto bird arrived but as far as I know, they didn't shut it down. But by this time I was already more than halfway into filming what was at the park.
Guys, I understand that most of the officers are doing their job and following orders. This isn't a "eff" the police type of thing. Like all groups, there's good and bad apples. It's just disappointing to have the lowrider community's event still get shut down. What can be done so that these events can happen peacefully? I'm not opposed to having police present to keep things in order but when some of the officers begin pulling over low lows and tow the rides, Cough Whittier *Cough*, it's hard to think that it isn't discrimination. Let's hope that we can come to a solution that brings ease and works out for everybody. Thanks for watching!
