@@Spino2Earth The fairy tale behind the Laven, which can be viewed in the Loerhuys, tells that during the winter for the 1990 season, the Laven had erected their settlement in the Efteling after a long, harsh journey through the earth. Many years ago the Laafs lived at the North Pole. When the ice and the constant snowstorms began, the people fled, led by the father of the Laafs, the Great Laaf, and his wife, Great Mother Lot. They could go no other way than through the ground and so the Laafs began to dig. During the trip the Grote Laaf laid the Great Lead; the Laafs lovingly made an image of him and they took it on their journey through the earth. After an adventurous journey that lasted centuries, they eventually ended up in Efteling, after they shouted "Alaaf!" heard. conceived and made by Ton van de Ven.
