2022 O'Connor Civics Challenge 6th Grade 2nd Place ~ Cecelia S. | Justice Sandra Day O'Connor

The third annual O’Connor Civics Challenge, an online civics competition for sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students, received entries from across the country, from California to New York. This year’s competition allowed participants, for the first time, to convey their civics knowledge in a variety of ways-whether through video, song, poetry, essay, or visual art. Students were able to choose one of six broad topics for their submissions: either the executive, judicial, or legislative branch; citizenship: rights and responsibilities; checks and balances; or Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. www.OConnorInstitute.org/cc
