Always a pleasure watching good herding dogs work.
My uncle's dogs bring them in, but if the cows, sheep, ect. are familiar with sweet feed we just bate the trailer.

We have 2 blue heelers they are brother an sister an 10 years old an have been best friends an never left one another. Sue was fixed as a pup bcuz of course they are brother an sister. Bobby was trying to pull a bulldog thru their pen bcuz he got to close to the fence by sue. The neighbor called the cops I'm like excuse me your dog is in my yard. But never seen Bobby wanting to harm another dog but it shows ppl that the bulldog didn't stand a chance bcuz Bobby an sue have never been apart since birth.he is gonna protect her with his life. They are getting old and I Kno which ever one passes first the other one is gonna grieve to death.. I don't see them living 1 day without each other. These are smart dogs. I love Bobby and Sue an they are both beautiful,smart and loving..

I know nothing about the animals in this video but I do know that when cattle are used to working dogs, especially growing up around them, they are pretty easy to work using dogs and working with dogs actually keep them calmer.
Would have gone a whole lot easier if that gate had been opened outwards before they backed the trailer in, and the guy had stood on the other side of the trailer, border collie descended dogs bring cattle to you, they don't do so well driving them away or beside, dog was pretty good, but the people let the stockmanship side of it down.

Dog is sort of good. you have a corral there, build yourself a crowding gate and alley way into trailer. get the dog to bring the steers into the corral and load them through the crowding gate. way easier. I thought the title said easy.
That lazy twat couldn't get his hands out of his pockets to run let alone build s chute or corral.
Should have swung that gate the other way. the cattle like to walk along a wall or fence but that gate threw them off and made the confused. Second those people just standing around were almost directly in the path you wanted the cattle to take. For claiming this to be easy it may be, but efficient not even close.

That is one damn good, hard working dog!! Why the hell has that rancher not put hinges on that gate to open flat back to the fence and save the poor dog all that misery. Or better yet, since the cows are usually on the Big side of the lot and will nestle up close to the fence, if the gate opened the other way it would be be direct steer in!!!
Easier to work cows if you have the gates turned the right way, too.

Well, give me a bag of molasses cattle cubes and I'll have them walking into the trailer on their hind legs in a day or two.
A lot of the problem was the people. Dog should always be in front of you between 10 and 2 on clock face. this dog was running all over show.

Looks like a border collie crossed with maybe a corgi - but that was a poor job really - the dog went in and spoilt the drive several times, it went for the faces so they turned away rather than nipping the heels to push the beasts forward. I'd not be surprised to learn that the dog got squashed at some point, once the beasts got fed up with it going for them.

Get the dog a driving licence and the two dopes can stay home with their hands in their pockets. I've seen better dogs but I cab't remember when I saw two worse guys around stock, they were in the way of the cattle and the dog. A well-trained dog would not have entered the trailer; his job was done at that stage.
Yes, a hold outside the trailer would have been perfect. The guys are lucky he didn't run the cattle back out on them.
