@@jamesprisciandaro3144 I had a Z1 and now a Triton Rack with Moss. Z1 sounds better ! Really, I compared converted patchs using some audio tracks that I had from the Z1. Also the physical controls of the Z1 make it more more lively and animated
@@Abruzzo333I agree, but that somewhat “glitchy” filter in Tritons with higher resonances sometimes lead to pretty nice synth sounds (pads/textures), that cannot be easily replicated elsewhere. Z1 has similar filter quality (to some degree), but it is not the same. There is sort of consensus that raw Triton ROM samples overall sounded worse than Trinity ones. This was probably due to (higher) data compression used (was that LPC compression or not - I don’t know). But Triton had more variety (more samples).

No one is better, totally different beasts
For sound synthesis Z1. For production Triton.
The sound of Triton wont come close to the Z1....which is a for pure synthesizer. The Triton for me has always sounded very bland and lifeless.
