I have an oppo F7 and so far its been my daily driver. Always been satisfied on how I used it based on my everyday needs. This device, the Oppo Find N is a dream phone. Very nostalgic feel with the flip phones back then, but with the latest advanced features of a flagship. Would be so grateful to have this holiday season. Kudos to UT for an honest and comparable review to other similar form factors. Looking forward to the performance review of this awesome device.
No IP rating for it. And it looks very ugly. The 60hz front screen is gonna be very annoying. And based on the videos I've seen, most apps don't play well with this phone. I'll stick with my Fold 3.
@@samlovesjojo I think it's still ok to be 60hz because we will consuming media (video, game, or social app) on the bigger screen. Maybe we will just use that for chat or cam. But yeah, will be better if it's 120hz too 'cause a lot of mainstream app use that form factor.
@@Ankiraa it's definitely not okay for a flagship at that price to have 60hz on any screen; inner or outer. You won't notice it if both were the same but going back and forth from 120 to 60 will be noticeable.
That’s the thing. It’s not their first attempt. Apparently they’ve been made more than 5 prototypes before this one. This is the one they felt confident to release. It’s an impressive device and I’d love to own one.
I would absolutely enjoy this kind of device a lot! My daily driver smartphone is about 6.7 inches and sometimes it feels too large. Having a 5.4 inch that turns into a 7.1 inch "mini tablet" seems perfect to me! I want it!
This phone looks really cool, I love how it is a little shorter and seems more one hand friendly, I miss those days, now phones are too big, but this seems the best of both worlds? One hand and large inner screen for content. I've had a few oppo phones now and they really are under rated. Essentially flag ship phones without being overpriced like apple or Samsung
I feel like the size and the aspect ratio of this one will appeal more to the general user since it’s not thin and tall unlike the Z Fold 3 (when folded)

Poor app optimization, no IP rating, 60hz 1080p front screen, bottom firing speakers only, lesser picture quality than the 'direct competition', and the price is pretty much the same as the 'direct competition' lol It's a no from me.

In an age when we're drowned by these awkwardly big devices being nearly impossible to use one handed (I have a Find X3 Pro...), they came out with something that reflects on how well they're understand the customer. It's the China version of the ColorOS the global version of ColorOS is very different I feel like it's underrated I've used OneUI 3.0 but I feel like ColorOS 11 is much smoother and the animations aren't half baked like OneUI. ColorOS 12 is even better

This is exactly how the folding phone should be and the fact that they close the gap is a massive improvement simply because it won't crush your phone. I've been waiting for a smaller phone that folds so you can still get big screen content. This solves a lot of issues now it's just a matter of making mechanics last. Honestly now I'm invested. Loved the concept phone from Xiaomi back then with the double folding. The ratio was kinda the same like this Oppo. Hope to see other phone makers show us what's possible in the foldable world.
Possibly. That's how they get you. By making things cheaper and better. This is likely the global version that they are sending to the youtubers. The Chinese version wouldn't have google services and playstore. That means they are getting ready to launch to the global market.
This form factor looks amazing. I don’t mind the size of a normal phone, so the flip makes no sense, the fold is massive, and super tall, but this is small, until you open it, and it gets big; that in my opinion is what a foldable should be

That's because screen size and aspect ratio are two completely different things. Samsung deliberately chose to prioritize the outer screen to be used one-handed. That was their vision which goes against what most consumers want. Most consumers love large screens and they want a two-handed usage display on the outside. Oppo Find N has delivered this. 👍👍👍

Samsung MUST get rid of that garbage outer 25:9 aspect ratio. Regardless, the inner aspect ratio of ALL foldable phones are garbage.
@@SJZ00 Making parts and designing a part are two different things though. Did Samsung design this hinge as well as manufacturing the parts? If they did, will we see a flat-folding hinge with a less creased screen on the fold 4?
to be honest from what I know usually Samsung supply the parts as is and the ordering company would have to mod it to however they like. For example, when samsung provide Apple with the OLED display, samsung made the display to their standards but once Apple got it in their hands they can adjust and alter the color reproduction of the display as well as brightness output to preserve battery life etc. Maybe its similar in this case. Regarding will we see a an improve screen on the Z Fold 4, we gotta wait and find out. Companies keep on improving the screens, screens are the major issues on folding phones so making it more durable for drops, less crease possible, can take more folds without breaking, can handle more pressure from s pen and more scratch resistant is seems like what they been striving for.

It's quite different from the Z-fold 3 and much more appealing in terms of size and screen. I love how easy it is to use one-handed and how much better the camera setup for selfies has gotten. I'm hoping to get a chance to try it out. Best TH-cam Channel for me to follow up new new tech.
Watch a real review, you won’t be. Oppo’s foldable phone is a step in the right direction, but there is more con’s than pro’s. Watch a review from Marques brownlee or mrwhoseboss if you want actual specs and a in depth review, this isen’t that kind of review - this is more of a showcase of the device where he just talks about the nice hinge and pretty design. And not about hardware, first party software and third party software compatibility.
Really glad to see what’s oppo been doing with their devices. While looking at the find N I must definitely say that this one looks quite amazing and a balanced foldable phone!

Oppo to be honest, have great RnD team, compared to other chinese smartphone company, remember how they change the game for the sliding front camera in smartphone with Oppo Find X

That’s a pretty awesome contender against the fold series… Looking ahead to the bright future of fold series of all brands.. Considering they drop the price as well and bring down the novelty factor so that more consumers can actually get their hands on it. Waiting for an affordable foldable unit for me to upgrade to a new phone as my 3 year old s9 plus is already showing its age though it’s a super phone (wish mine was snapdragon variant though.. 😔).. keeping the fingers crossed… 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I definitely think the aspect ratio and wrinkles are great. Since the display was made by Samsung, the Fold 4 will have better results? I would like to try that as well. .I don't know if it will protect me well, and above all, I'm worried that China is taking our information. Not even Google...

Regarding size I think Steve Jobs was absolutely right. A phone should be sized in a way that it should be comfortably fit in your hand. Oppo has nailed it. 2nd most important aspect of an smartphone nowadays has to be the camera. This is because it is easy to compare pictures quality between two phones. For a customer, it does not matter which chip or what ram is used in a phone . So if Oppo can offer a stunning camera performance , I believe we have a winner.

It's the China version of the ColorOS the global version of ColorOS is very different I feel like it's underrated I've used OneUI 3.0 but I feel like ColorOS 11 is much smoother and the animations aren't half baked like OneUI. ColorOS 12 is even better

This actually crazy as to how good it looks. I haven't been a fan of oppo ever! But this device here is making me forget that and actually has put some respect on the oppo name!
Surpassed my expectations, I think this phone has a lot of potential. I would love to see the ways people are going to use this device.
This is what a foldable should be, compact size that still gives you an expansive tablet when unfolded, really hoping Oppo will bring this over to the US via one+. Love it!

That’s a pretty awesome contender against the fold series… Looking ahead to the bright future of fold series of all brands.. Considering they drop the price as well and bring down the novelty factor so that more consumers can actually get their hands on it. Waiting for an affordable foldable unit for me to upgrade to a new phone as my 3 year old s9 plus is already showing its age though it’s a super phone (wish mine was snapdragon variant though.. 😔).. keeping the fingers crossed… 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I definitely think the aspect ratio and wrinkles are great. Since the display was made by Samsung, the Fold 4 will have better results? I would like to try that as well. .I don't know if it will protect me well, and above all, I'm worried that China is taking our information. Not even Google...

The Mate X2 is still the best foldable Phone by far, just not having google services hinder it. Samsung and other foldables are soooo lucky 🤷🏾♂️😔

Regarding size I think Steve Jobs was absolutely right. A phone should be sized in a way that it should be comfortably fit in your hand. Oppo has nailed it. 2nd most important aspect of an smartphone nowadays has to be the camera. This is because it is easy to compare pictures quality between two phones. For a customer, it does not matter which chip or what ram is used in a phone . So if Oppo can offer a stunning camera performance , I believe we have a winner.
