@@JeremyKrug We have made your name so popular in our school. You're actually one of the reasons we recommend people to take AP Chemistry. I really hope to see you helping more and more people.
Salutations Mr Krug. Just a quick note to express my sincere appreciation for your stellar efforts in making chemistry a thrilling journey of discovery. Your unique blend of expertise and charm has turned even the most complex of reactions into an engaging Jeremy Krug spectacle. Thank you for igniting our passion for the periodic table and beyond, catalyzing inside my heart a reaction with a positive Kruggs Free Energy change. Warm regards, Rafan Syed
Thanks for your kind words, Rafan! I'm so happy that I've helped ignited a love for chemistry and learning! Keep up the good work, and I know you will do great on the AP exam!
hello! I'm a senior and my ap chem exam is may 6th, I've looked up to this exam for soooo long therefore I'm so excited and full of eagerness, although that I just started with unit 7 and i feel a bit late, how would you advise someone like me Mr Jeremy? :)) I really need words of such an experienced mentor as you on this whole thing..
You still have well over a month before the exam, so you are still in pretty good shape. If you're just starting on Unit 7, you'll need to work really hard on Units 7 and 8 (Equilibrium and Acid-Base) over the next two weeks. Watch those Unit 7-8 videos, practice lots of problems, and save Unit 9 for that third week of April. That will still give you a good two weeks to review everything. Remember, it's better to learn 70% of the material very well than to cover all the material poorly. You've got this!
do you have any advice with going back and studying a unit that you struggled on? for instance, I struggled with Unit 2, and a little bit of 3, but I don’t know how to study it except to do practice problems.
Focus on the individual lessons if there's a unit you need to focus on. Go back to the "AP Chem full playlist" and watch the individual lessons for the unit you need help on (Units 2 and 3 in your case). The time investment will be worth it. You can do this!
If I don’t have to clear the memory of my graphic calculator, then couldnt I just write all the formulas in the calculator and use those? I’m not saying I would since there’s the formula sheet but couldn’t that be allowed then?
Have you ever scored the exams yourself, and if so, what are common mistakes that students make? My entire ap chem class hails you because our teacher doesn't teach well lol
Great question! Although I haven't scored AP Chem exams myself, I've seen the mistakes students make over many years of teaching this course and looking at my own students' FRQ booklets. One of the biggest mistakes is seeing students that either: (a) leave entire questions blank -- especially toward the end of the exam or (b) just completing the first couple parts of an FRQ and not getting some easier points on the later parts. On every AP exam, some questions are just harder than others. But I've seen lots of students leave off units and make careless math errors. These are easy mistakes to avoid that will salvage a few points toward your score.
Yes, I'll be posting lots of chemistry videos next year. However, I'll be revising my first-year chemistry videos, so those will be uploaded over the course of next school year.
I don't take the AP classes i took exam only option ... i want to know we have to submit the lab report?? If yes so when we have to submit and how to submit ?, could you please let me know
You don't have to submit any lab reports to CB. Occasionally your university may ask to see lab work or a notebook in order to grant exemption from a lab component of Gen Chem, however.
At AP Central on the College Board's website, you'll find lots of old FRQ's, and there are a few multiple choice questions out there too. AP Classroom has more free MCQ examples too.
Cramming for the Exam, but thanks to you sir, I know I can pass this.
Thank you so much! I appreciate all your unit videos, they cover the units concisely and help me understand!
You're very welcome. I hope my review videos help you review the high points of each unit and do well on the AP Exam!

Anyone here after the AP Exam?
Mr Krug can you pretty please make a video on the equations not given to us on the reference sheet or all the units 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I'm actually working on that video now. It should be posted in a week or two.
For the FRQs, is it okay if when we show our work we don’t show our units until we get to our answer?

You could absolutely do that, although almost all of those equations are given in the equation packet. Technically it is okay.

Can we use the Periodic table app (that is pre-built in TI-84 Phyton) in AP Chem exam to see electron configurations?
Yes, you are allowed to use it.
Do you know where i can find any free practice exams online?

can i put all of vspr in my calculator? lol
As long as it's in the calculator memory before the exam starts, no one will ask you to clear it.
