Mia Sara is my favorite Harley. Joker is in prison, she's on her own. She's older, more mature, a business woman, but you can see underneath she's still crazy.

She's not stupid of course, but becoming some ultra evil killer crime boss? No. Trying to get revenge for the Joker? I can see that, but not in this way. She'd be trying to carry on his gimmick of deadly jokes and trying to force a twisted smile on everyone's faces. Not steal some Metahuman's hypnosis powers cause that's not her style. Arkham City and Arkham Knight writers knew how Harley would run a criminal organization better than these chumps. Obviously, they were trying to make Harley seem like a proper threat, but in the end, they just made her like a generic evil bitch. Where's the heart? Where's the soul of this character? In fact, why wasn't Paul Dini involved? This is HIS creation that was butchered beyond recognition. I get the impression by the very generic "costume" at the end of the series that she hasn't fully embraced her "Harley Quinn" persona. They might as well give her a different name since she was a whole different character. If they wanted an ultra-serious female crime boss or something, there are plenty of female characters in the rogues' gallery that could fill that role. Talia Al Ghul springs to mind. I guess they wanted a connection to the Joker, but if they are not even going to bother getting Harley Quinn right they might as well make up a new character altogether, or better yet Hugo Strange would be a better fit for that show just like in that other TV show Gotham played by B.D. Wong.
I see what they were trying to do with this Harley. They wanted to make her into a more independent and caniving than how she is depicted in the comics. But at the same time I wish that the writers would've written her to be the same goofy over the top character from the comics while also making her independent like they did here.

In total disagreement with you. In the first place, a story's a story, and can be told in any format, whether comic book or television show or whatever else. I could easily see the scripts for this show being used in a comic. I found this show more enjoyable than "Smallville."
