Bell Ringing at Exeter Cathedral - With Profmoose

Some ringing on the fantastic 72cwt 12 that is Exeter Cathedral. They are the 2nd heaviest ring of bells anywhere in the world. They are bloody well worth a visit!

Why is the tenor chiming late? Is it known to do that or is it just due to the size of the bell?

i'm a learner bell ringer too. I just passed lvl 1 of learning the ropes. I currently ring at St Mary's Addington which is a fantastic ring of six. If you haven't made a video there a definitely recommend it. AND Croydon's only ring of 14, Croydon Minster.

Fair enough. Good on you for having started to ring - there aren’t enough young ringers by far!
Technically Croydon is only a twelve. Winchester Cathedral is the only full diatonic ring of fourteen.

I have also learnt 2 methods, Kaleidascope (where 2 bells dodge every whole pull, or every 2 whole pulls) and Plain Bob Doubles where I am the cover.
