An indicator when he is, is his accompanying in performance, Olympico was composed for an event, he was involved at that time and still sung in epic fashion usually, concerts etc not his usual mien. In The Singer competition Autumn Strong was the first song he ever sang in Mandarin. He was so grateful to his Chinese audience for welcoming him so warmly that he wanted to say thank you in this way. He only had a week to learn the lyrics and the correct pronunciation. That was very important to him. A really tough job. From the reaction of the audience you can see that he has mastered it with flying colors. Many Chinese reactors also said that his pronunciation was almost perfect. He is actually singing Terry Lin's Mandarin translation of the Taiwanese version of the lyrics of Autumn Strong. It is sung in Asia in many languages, dialects and translations. Dimash had no idea who the translator was, he was looking for a Mandarin translation of Autumn Strong for a Chinese audience.Terry was also a competitor, recognized the translation, had no bearing on anything, said nothing. During the show they became close friends that has lasted to the present, visiting one another and have sung in each other's concerts.

Dimash delivers the most beautiful heartbreaks, doesn't he? Dimash sings Autumn Strong at every concert... and varies the way he sings it. There are several concerts on his YT channel... and plenty of fancams out there on YT. Every performance is different. It related to a Japanese actress who became famous in China. She had to change her name to Chinese because at that time China went to war against Japanese fascist who colonized China. The Chineses didn’t know her real identity but they found out at the end of the war. They kicked her out of the country. This is a beautiful song from a Japanese composer.
