Explain to me what you wanted for this to be a good movie. I grew up with Superman The Movie and Superman II (Christopher Reeves), and though I still think those are great American classics movies, and still feel Man of Steel was a good movie. I'm not saying its a classic, but was still a worthy and good Superman reboot.
After watching this I have a far deeper appreciation of how actors have to really dig deep to act and react realistically when surrounded only by sets that are CGI green screens and props. That said, Cavill is hands down the best Superman.
I was born on 79 and watched all Superman movies with Christopher Reeve. This movie from Zack is so special, so strong and so powerfull for me, that I want this Man of Steel logo on my grave when I die. It is the masterpiece of my life. Thanks Zack.

You definitely do not understand what Hope stands for. Your interpretation of Hope is that everything works out perfectly and that nobody dies. Snyder's 'Hope' has much more depth and complexity to it. It means that even when everyone turns against you, even when you aren't able to live up to the expectations of others, even if you've repeatedly failed yourself and failed others, you're going to stand up.
I think that critics just don't see true art because this was awesome and it won so many awards The movies that critics love most people do not. I loved this movie and these actors will always be the best to portray their characters no matter what to me I love them and I always will😀 This is just my opinion but no one can change it! No one!

I've watched Man of Steel more than 10x...never gets old and truly one of my all-time favorite movies. Characters were casted perfectly with their fitting actor/actress counterpart. Michael Shannon.... brilliant as General Zod. Fight and battle scenes were magnificent. The score, the story, special effects....outstanding. The best Superman of them all since SPMN II and I'm puzzled why many viewers felt differently.
I'm reading some of these comments and being utterly disappointed. A lot of you misinterpret what this movie stands for. Your ideal Superman is one who can give hope to people, yet you fail to understand what hope truly means in this movie. Hope is not being able to deliver a perfect outcome with no casualties. Hope is being able to stand up after every failure. Hope is being able to continue doing what you're doing even in unfavorable circumstances (Superman was forced to fight in a heavily populated area, he's still inexperienced so you can't expect him to pull a Goku and tell the enemy to take the fight to the mountains). It's as realistic as it can get. Hope means that NO MATTER HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU HAVE FAILED, YOU WILL KEEP ON FIGHTING FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN. I think this movie captured this aspect of Superman perfectly, another dimension to his character that you just don't see in other movies. A movie with no casualties and destruction would not be a good movie. Can you really enjoy seeing Superman to punch Zod in the middle of nowhere until he surrenders? I think not. Hypocrites, go watch the movie again.

The One who Doubts the Plan Ironman led a Leviathan towards the city and unnecessarily killed more people but no one complains about that in Avengers yet they do in Man of Steel and it was unintentional

Like do they think Zod would want leave? Supes took him out of the city but he didn't even stay in space for too long and beat superman's ass back to Metropolis like right after. Even Nam-Ek and Faora didn't let Superman leave Smallville when he tried to fly away They also don't like him for killing Zod yet Reeves did the same thing but WAY worse. Zod was powerless but Reeves still ended him and laughed about it

Simply the best Superman movie - EVER! With all due respect to C. Reeves, Cavill’s Superman has every sense of realism to it. You can actually believe that Cavill’s Superman could be real. Reeve’s Superman had a high degree of the “cheese factor” to it.

Henry is the finest superman in today's world. He keeps it somehow dark and it's a great depiction of a hero whose life is not just sunshine and rainbows. Even in his down times he still gives hope.

While the city-battle between Superman and Zod was maybe a few minutes too long... this is still my favorite solo-Superman movie. I absolutely love the musical score as well.

Loved the 1st Encounter approach. Why this was never happened before well...we got it here. Zod's message to the world via 📺 with the static 📺 interrupting scheduled program was a cool horror aspect I didn't know I needed. Clark being human, enjoying a 🍺 watching some Football. 😊

Man of Steel is a very good movie. interesting and exotic start and enviroment on the planet crypton. Beautiful grown up montages. Nice alien ships designs, good choices on villains and foes. Good acting,not bad screenplay, nice superman flyin montages with sound barrier braking. Loveable music. Almost perfect.

She's like almost 10 years than Cavill. Also, Cavill was in this mid/late 20s when MoS was filmed. AA was already in her mid/late 30s. Cavill's body made him look younger in many ways.

Thank you Zack for making this movie. You have no ideaa how this movie change me as a person. It motivates me to do good and to believe in myself. I grew up watching Christhoper Reeve's Superman but you brought Superman again in 2013 and make him so badass. Man of Steel is not just a comic book movie but it's also a beautiful movie filled with lesson and inspires you in life.
I really appreciate the hard work of all the crew (p.s : i don't think there would be another actor to play superman better than Henry he was born to take this role , I hope zack won't change that )

Best Superman ever. Henry cannot be easily replaced. Once in a generation perfectly cast character. Batman gets to hide behind the mask, Superman does not. What Henry brought to the screen was priceless.

While the city-battle between Superman and Zod was maybe a few minutes too long... this is still my favorite solo-Superman movie. I absolutely love the musical score as well.

Loved the 1st Encounter approach. Why this was never happened before well...we got it here. Zod's message to the world via 📺 with the static 📺 interrupting scheduled program was a cool horror aspect I didn't know I needed. Clark being human, enjoying a 🍺 watching some Football. 😊

This movie is SOOOOOO FUCKING UNDERRATED..... Will not understand the hate it still gets and why so many didnt like it to begin with... Its a hidden gem, really felt all the beats when I first watched it in the theaters. The feeling of being hated and misunderstood when you just wanna do whats right.... And I'm a huge Batman fan!! They actually leveled me to Supe's field position and made me feel how he felt all of those years before he became who he was... Anyway, writing this after have watching Zack's Justice League...

on villains and foes. Good acting,not bad screenplay, nice superman flyin montages with sound barrier braking. Loveable music. Almost perfect.
This movie was underrated, the new spin on his folks was a plus in my book. I feel this honors my childhood view of the comic book superman hands down.

Amazing behind the scenes! All the work and effort that goes into making these great movies really deserves more credit. I know there’s the Oscars and such but if people saw more of this they wouldn’t be so quick to harshly judge. I LOVE this Superman movie, the music, the feels, the effects, the actors and actresses just perfect.
Just watching this makes you think how hard it is to shoot a film and be in Henry Cavil's place. But they pulled it of perfectly.

She's like almost 10 years than Cavill. Also, Cavill was in this mid/late 20s when MoS was filmed. AA was already in her mid/late 30s. Cavill's body made him look younger in many ways.
