I've been trying to catch fish in this part of the river with lures forever and I just cant seem to hack it, what are some hard body lures you recommend?
The ones I use in the video are great options to cover most bases. Depending on your budget there are still plenty of lures to choose from. The RMG Scorpion 35 and Halco Laser Pro 52 are affordable lures that catch fish. Ecogear SX40/43/48 or Zipbait Khamsin Tiny’s are very well proven tournament lures. The OSP Dunks and Daiwa Spikes are awesome deep cranks. Jackall Chubbies are probably my favourite for cranking flats. If you want something sinking to imitate the mussels/crustaceans then the River 2 Sea Baby Vibes are hard to beat. Surface wise, the OSP Bent Minnows have a cult following but they are one of the more expensive lures out there, big bream love them. As you can see there are a lot to pick from 😂 It’s hard to say exactly what to use because it depends on the specific bank, water depth, time of year etc. but having a few lures that do different things will help to figure the pattern on each particular day.
@@baytobluewater8165 thanks for the suggestions mate! I'll have a look. I've caught a few on the SX40s and they seem to work really well with a twitchy slow roll

How far up the swan are you fishing here mate? Whereabouts? Awesome stuff!
Hey mate, this was all upriver from Garrett Road bridge 👍🏼
In my hood Matty! 2.22-30 area is worth persevering, my most common landbased spot, usually with mini me x2 in tow
Yep, I’ve caught some cracker fish out of there! Really fires up in Summer 🔥
