@@bigcapper2143u can give him that easy
Legend
Thank you 🙏🙏
Lovely
Thanks
It's insane and incredibly disheartening to hear that a top 5 (at worst) fighter of all time is saying he didn't 5mil in his bank account after fighting at the highest level for over a decade...
The fighter lawsuit cannot come fast enough
I think very few people watched him during his career but I agree he deserves more money
You could argue jones is better cuz of weight but as u get lower in weight classes you have to be more of a complete martial artist even now because these little guys have that night night power.
he made around 5 mil in his ufc career, and he left when his best pay days where coming half mil a fight, he went from 10k in 2011 to half million in 2017 in years is no joke or laughable increase especially for a guy you never bought a ppv for
Hence he semi retired and will only fight for a payday.

34:00 Dj's henry impression is spot on😂
I can listen to DJ talking about MMA all day. Awesome guy and so smart, one of my all time favorite fighters and also one of the smartest guys in the game. I’m looking forward to his TH-cam content.
Such a likeable guy
DJ and Cejudo are going to start a podcast about MMA should be a good listen
DJ always gives the best interviews. Smart, funny and humble!!

One of the baddest dudes on the planet, mf said tummy issues 😂
😅
Comment cracked me up 😂
I always enjoyed DJ's fights, but I've become a really big fan of him as a person since his legendary UFC run, from street beefs to elden ring raging to buddy cop comedy with Henry Cejudo... Zero idea why I was never exposed to any of this as part of the UFC's marketing of him; with the advent of Izzy and Brandon Moreno getting so much love for being huge nerds, I feel like the UFC catastrophically promoted DJ; if they had the vision to see past the "just bleed" corporate identity, I think they could've made DJ a HUGE star and used him to properly dominate east Asian MMA, but they dropped the ball because DJ was a good dude and they were looking Conor McGregor style sociopath self-promoters? Super happy for DJ and all he's done to stay true to himself despite the industry acting like him being a cool, quirky dude made him LESS likable, rather than more
Yep they f d him over so much it ain’t funny
DJ is one of the smartest, friendliest, and most talented guys in the history of MMA and the UFC utterly wasted him.
He was too good of a human for a culture like America which is the base of UFC.
A lot of it is timing imo and yeah non promoting also his weight class and also he wasn’t a shot talker or getting kos none of this should be an excuse bcz he deserves so sooo sooo much more but now I feel in 2023 fighters have a lot more avenues to promote them selves based on technology the times social media etc
cuz the ufc who supposedly does the promotions for fighters cares about making the most profit possible not for their fighters to be well promoted
I love how he really listened to GSP's advice. GSP is a good guy, and genuinely has good intentions giving his advice to other fighters. I see a lot of similarities between the two. Analytical, love to learn and do new stuff, yet super athletic and disciplined in their daily lives. I feel like these types of personalities make the best MMA fighters!
Mighty mouse has one of the best Cejudo impressions ever 😂 haha
I hope he becomes an analyst
His youtueb and occassional ONE FC commentary prove that he should be an analyst
Tim Boetsch is a name i have not heard in awhile. he was a beast
DJ: i do it for the love of the sport
Ariel: but you get paid though right
DJ: i get sick i leave
Ariel: did you get a refund
DJ: i want to go wrestle him to prove a point not a bussiness thing, now everyone wants a hand in it
Ariel: (realizing hes talking about me on accident)
😂😂
How can you now love DJ? I wish him nothing but the best!
41:05 🤣🤣🤣😭
Nobody and I mean nobody in ufc history besides jones has the same caliber resume as DJ. He fought the best and made it look easy. Was so damn good he made the fights boring for casuals.
DJ competition is kindergarten. It's like compraing NBA and WNBA
GSP? This is a terrible take. I also take Silva over DJ. He's a lock in the top 10, but that's about it.
I respect the hell out of DJ but he fought Cejudo and Cruz only. His competition bracket is so small literally and figuratively, so the competition is very, very low compared to other normal man sized divisions.
Skillset wise he has an argument but his competition is relatively weak. Biggest depth/talent pool in mma is between 145 and 170. Most men fall under this weight if they were to compete.
@@gooniusmaximus94 you should look at his full record. hes got some great wins under his belt. dodson twice, who knocked out dillashaw in under 2 min and had some good bw performances. benavidez should go without saying, he was a staple contender at 125 for a while, and dj beat him twice. horiguchi is his most slept on win and might be the best name on his record that isnt cejudo. 9 fight streak broken by dj, proceeded to go on a 13 fight winning streak afterwards becoming the rizin 135 champ (twice), rizin grand prix winner, bellator 135 champ, and is on track to becoming the bellator 125 champ. arguably beat cejudo twice. guys without great records, like borg, usually got dealt with in style. he beat the best flyweights in the world for as long as he was in the ufc
Amazing job by both! So enjoyable to listen!
You're the Best, DJ!
Break em down and keep it coming!
Imagine signing up for a jiu-jitsu competition and seeing his name in your bracket.
You can be on a 10 fight win streak but if dana gets bored of you, you won't get the bigger bucks.
Such an amazing dude. Met him in 2019. He welcomed us at his gym as did Matt
I love hearing DJ talk about MMA BUT on top of that the way his mind is growing on a financial/businesses side of things is impressive! I cant wait to see what wealth he grows for himself and his family take a great mind in MMA like his and apply it to anything and he will do GREAT
Mf said “I was sick before with tummy issues 🤓” 💀
The clarity.. Clear and concise.. Binary code..
DJ's fight IQ is so underrated, this man's the GOAT, he's not just good at fighting, he knows why he's good at fighting.
THE GOAT.
Watching DJ livestream Elden Ring might be a highlight of my sad life.
DJ certified 🐐 behind Jones and GSP imo
Me I'd put him beside them or a little bit further because how much he can capitalise on his height, weight and skills.
I love the take on the whole tape study thing.
This is a smart man, great listen. Thanks Ariel
Legit one of the greatest, give this man his flowers🎉 I cant take anyone who is a mma fan and dont have dj in their top 10. Undderated, underappreciated, i hope he gets a money fight in one of these cross over exhibitions.
“I can’t take anyone” ik..
Aljo sounds like a casual. First of all when DJ fought Dom, he wasnt even training full time. He had a regular job. It was a very long time ago. Second of all, everyone DJ has fought at ONE has clearly been a weight class above him. Those dudes are Aljo’s size
It's one thing to be the GOAT fighter. But DJ is the GOAT interview.
Hearing him calling guys 5’8” and 5’9” “bigger guys” is crazy 😂
Not really he’s 5’3” and competes at the top of the top dudes who are 5 or 6 inches taller are considered bigger guys it’s a normal comparison what
yeah should just say taller opponents
If people don't know.
DJ has a TH-cam and it's really, really good.
Plays games and talks MMA quite a lot.
Very similar to how he talks here.
I think it deserves a lot more attention.
Good to see DJ doing well post UFC career.
Such a likeable guy which is rare these days.
my laptop started freezing at 41:07 lmfao
I agree with Ariel. DJ is definitely 1 of the top 5 greatest MMA athletes of all time
We need DJ on a commentary desk ASAP, dude is a wizard 😍
41:06 Bro was moving in x2 speed.
Ariels reaction to hearing he didn't ask for a refund is priceless
He is secretly planning on fighting Zuck in BJJ for the ultimate payday.
It's very refreshing to see DJ on the show again. That dude is very likeable
38:45 holy crap DJ next level predictions .
the best to ever do it and his analysis is bar none.
Mighty vs Mikey Musumeci would be a really cool grappling match for ONE to make
I love this! I hope dj goes through with this and shows Bradley what's up!
Is TH-cam trolling Helwani?? The video right below to play next is a game review from 5 years ago of "State of decay" 😂😂😂😂 that's the most random recommended video I've had all year if it's not TH-cam trolling him😂😂😂
Nate diaz made 20 million selling wolf tickets
Dj needs to be a color analyst !! Imagine DJ , DC an Rogan
Truly is the GOAT.
Good stuff
Lol....he's so afraid to bring up Brendan during the Bradley Martin grapple conversation. He still suffers from Sensitive PTSD.
I wonder what Sean Strickland would say about Ariel asking about a refund
Why don’t u share DJ links?
I didn't know DJ would use a peak-a-boo boxing style. Going back to his standup with Rodtang, it makes more sense. DJ would like to give you some and then revert to the side. Mike Tyson did a lot of those.
UFC fighters are lucky MM isn't 5'9
UFC should have invested in marketing DJ ,should have been marketed like Conor
Ariel: I hope I don't come across as phising.
Us: Oooh suuuurre 😂
Theirs a lot missing from jakes game coming straight from the goat, he shall listen and maybe ask for some days or weeks with DJ 🙏🏼 would be sick
Hes super smart. Hopefully he coaches one day
Hes the best , oustanding fight knowledge
DJ is the coolest, toughest nerd of all time.
Mighty Mouse, Fedor, Bones, Anderson, Conor on my personal Rushmore
5:35 that would be so hype lol
Why does ariel have to take shots at his own company. The studio set up he has is so much better than mine
I have already commented but hopefully no one complains.
Anyone who doesn't appreciate grappling, if you get the chance to ever take part. Do it.
You will not regret it.
Some of the most fun you can have. The more experienced you are, the more all out you can go without someone getting hurt.
It's all the fun of fighting, with hardly any of the consequences if people have control of what they're doing.
He's practically the YODA of mma..
DJ and Jon always looked a lot alike. They have so many similarities. Crawford has a wrestling background and there's several videos of him even doing submissions like head locks, guillotine choke, triangle choke and other submissions...
Ones a family man and one runs away from the cops when he hits a pregnant chick with a car
@@crazydarkrai8884 he’s clearly talking about fighting ffs.
@@crazydarkrai8884Jon has become a national treasure, good man. Always nice, humble, polite, kind, down to earth and a gentleman.

Demetrious Johnson should be on that level of wealth to fly on a PJ. If someone deserved it!!
in my dream scenario DJ retires for a few months, then gets a UFC contract to fight aljo
The greatest well rounded fighter in the history of combat sports cant afford a private jet? Man DJ deserves it all!
I would love to see DJ avenge his loss against Dom by fighting Aljo for his retirement fight. That would be the perfect fight to end his career on. It will never happen but that would be such a good super fight
DJ is the GOAT
Dj's a cool dude.
I'd still take DJ over Aljo any day of the week, guys a true warrior. Loved his insight in regards to just adapting to fights on the fly and working on all aspects in your training camp rather than tailoring your camp to stop a specific moves.
It's a huge opportunity for money the DJ vs bradley martin fight...
the GOAT doing GOAT things
4 on 1 is a street fight na days with guns and knives. Used to be 1 on 1 and a hand shake after when I was younger
Time stamps?
What I would do for an DJ and Ariel show, he would make such a good co-host
imagine DJ back in UFC
3:28 Me when DJ hit the knee on Moraes
Sean already talking like a champion. Congrats.
Dj was spot on about aljo vs suga.Aljo tried to play the strike fight, and got tko..
Dj the true GOAT
DJ=MMA 🐐
Slowly i really like him. When it comes to pushing a fighter to the ground, O Malley has the perfect body, as Izzy. When such smart fighter with a high fight-IQ train their TK defense, which is the case with both of them, you cant push them to ground as easily as a little Henry Cejudo.
He's the GOAT
No
@@cheatingscoobydoois think it's probably gsp, Jones popped for roids so I don't count him
The people's GOAT
The peoples GOAT and most skilled mma fighter ever.
DJ is the best
He will be competitive at Brown Belt Master 2 gi but he will not be at Adult gi Brown Belt.
Especially since he's not juicing.
Is DJ training with John danaher
DJ is the GOAT 🐐
goatcast
If I was Bradley, I would start training my butt off
Lol it would take Bradley a minimum of 2 years to train everyday with the best in the world one on one coaching to be able to just not get tapped for 2 minutes , and even then he will get tapped quick . There are levels
@user-hn1jx6cw6e No way I think Bradley as is can last 5 minutes.
DJ has been training everyday for 20 years, Bradley will NEVER catch up. It's not even close.
@rob879 I agree if they were the same weight but having over 100 pounds on a guy and being on PEDs the strength and sizd difference is going to be massive. I think Bradley can survive until he gasses.
