My first MX race OTHG 45+ Beginner Hollister GP track

I was doing too much talking with a friend and missed my first moto...blowing it! I kinda blew my start out of the gate, I need to practice that.
The track had a bunch of fresh sand put on it for the Nationals coming up...I've never ridden a sand track so it took me a bit to get used to it. My last lap was my fastest according to the transponder.
Looking forward to my next race and the chance to do a little better!

I am! Still surviving out there...lol. I'm finally moving out of Beginner and up to Novice class. You can click on my name above to see my other race vids. I've been trying to find this track - guess it can't be accessed from main park area.. I am training to join OTHG next year in 30+ age.. I think I will be beginner or intermediate.. how are you liking that group, have you moved up to Intermediate?

OTHG is the best racing club for us old beginners! You do 2 evaluation races to properly put you in the right class...no sandbagging like you see in other clubs. I'm still in the beginner class...then Novice...then intermediate! I have gotten a little better since this vid...maybe check out some of my later vids since this was a year ago. This GP track is located at the "Upper Ranch" area with a separate entrance. It's not open to the public and is only in use for special events. You can come race the "Support" class this weekend if you want a feel for how things are. Support class is for younger non-members...they don't accrue season points and other stuff that members get.

Thanks! I've watched your GP track vid and others and the track always looked a little hardpack. They dumped a ton of sand on it getting it ready for Nationals in two weeks.
I'm sure you would have tore it up!
