this series reminds me back in the day struggle at every single monster on my PSP playing the classic MH, no health bar not even damage hints only brutal hard fight, Alatreon really shows MH is still the classic arpg as it was
GEAR: MID WEAPON: OK FOOD BUFFS: BOWGUN GUIDING LANDS: WHAT'S THAT?! ALATREON: DEAD!!!!!!!! And how you managed that SOLO as a new player with GS, I am speechless.
The stuff I used for GS was WAY worse than what he used for this lol, without even proper knowledge of Escaton. I didn’t even get augments or upgraded armor until long after I beat Fatalis with a bootleg setup to break his head (fuck the MR100 cap btw)
Actually more important part was not even fully utilizing greatsword and claw movesets. Could have killed alatreon maybe day 1 if he does slinger combos.
gear: mid? that's the best gear to use VS alatreon with GS. Heck I even use that on HH and Hammer all while skipping GL grind. Lol. We don't even have to augment for HP Steal even though it is fast esp tanking some Alatreon's Snow breaths in Dragon Form. What's amazing on this run is that he brute RNG'd Alatreon until he got lucky: committing the same mistakes like the previous/last MHW stream, without the proper plan when to commit on TCS, the use of Slinger+TCS, and Tenderize Mechanics. If he didn't forget the 2nd headbreak (which he constantly does), it could've been a better run. But congrats to him nevertheless.
Yeah it's funny to shittalk and clown on him sometimes, but i hope everyone remembers he beat Anjanath, Lunastra, Barioth, Rajang, Furious Rajang, and many more "walls" that almost every player runs into, especially if its their first MH game, on his very first try, without even using the temporal or flash pods or anything.
@@lowfade556 for new players to MH? it 100% was. look at any 2018 MH social media and you couldn't go 10 seconds without some post about Anja being too hard, or how they need tips they're stuck on him, or they're even quitting the game because of him.
from the bottom of my heart, i am grateful for his commitment, even tho he was about to quit, he still managed to pull it off. The last fight was alsp rly cinematic, last try, last hope and he played damn well! ggs zack
2:11:45 for the kill lads. He finally did it. Wonder where the people who said he'd quit after the base game are. Or the people who said he'd quit at Velkhana. Or the people who said he'd quit after Shara.
Well he did it not solo so it is whatever he himself broke his own rule to beat the boss so the game has beaten him pretty much I'm 100% sure fatalis will be the same
@@RaidenSaya nah it's better to watch from the start imo , it's just not as fun and exciting when you're watching and already know what's going to happen like you don't feel the same stress and excitement as the actual stream, watching him killing him without expecting it just feels alot better , even though you can tell from the title and the length of the video but I always just tell myself that maybe this is the run and the rest of the stream is just him doing other upgrades or following the quest so it keeps me excited
I remember him watching gameplay videos of this game before he started playing, saying how terrible it was, but also mentioning that if one eventually succeeds in defeating those monsters, it must feel awesome. And now, he finally gets to experience that feeling firsthand. That's the magic of this game.
No might seed/demondrugs, no health augments, no kulve weapons, no SOS, no insurance, no deco grind, no max pot mats in pouch, TCS greeding on crit draw build, STILL BEAT ALATREON somehow
Sometimes it gets really annoying how asmon refuses to engage with any of the games mechanics and brute forces everything lol Like he almost dropped the game bcs it was "too hard" even tho it's only that hard bcs he's doing dumb shit like trying to perfect roll alatreon breath attack instead of simply sheathing his weapon and doing superman dive
I realized that health augment exist after I beat Fatalis the first time (at that time I thought you only get transmog in grindingland) so he's more than ok for fighting Alatreon. Might Seed & demon Buff are garbage if you're not comfortable with micromanagement. kulve weapons are useless if you're capable of breaking it's horn, which he's good at it apparently.
Don't forget no Attack Up Large from Food Buffs too. People who were saying hes undergeared are dumb, he was just playing handicapped by not using wallbangs, missing claggers and ignoring 2 of the most important moves in GS kit.
@@hatohatomo idk if it's "easier" but it has less of a gimmick than Alatreon, and for someone like Asmon that has good fundamentals but refuses to learn any kind of gimmick unless absolutely necessarily, it might be a good matchup for him lol.
I fight Fatalis for years, still die on speedrun setup. Even tho I know every single move he has, try to solo it with no palico, he’s not easier than Alatreon
@@jeremycu4571he was adding more stuff to like deleting the save. I think at that point if he actually performed really bad he wouldnt try another run and probably delete it. But he was actually surviving the escaton. it feels great to survive that shit while progressing the fight. Makes you want to go one more.
it was dude!!! I saw his proof of a hero moment when he started getting combo headshots, dodging just at the right moment, I looked at his eyes and saw the essence of a monster hunter! I knew he was going to win as soon as his eyes widened like that lol

I dont know what to do, i don't wanna think about it. It's not even stressful. I'm past the point of stress and its just despair. I've spent so much time doing this fight, I've made zero progress in the fight and I'm just tired of failing. I'm gonna be honest I'm just tired" 2:11:44
This clear was pretty nuts and way harder than it needed to be - Didn’t wallbang or tenderize - Probably didn’t have the best jewels or good charms really either as he’s pretty much fresh out of iceborne - No health augment which would’ve made the fight so much comfier - Doesn’t even have good Food buff setups and just eats between chefs choice and meat platter (bro could’ve had 4-5 lives) That was fucking insane to witness on stream last night. Gz Asmon
His Decos are actually okay. Not BiS but definitely serviceable. I'm surprised how lucky he is with them. But yeah no wallbangs or tenders, no augments, no proper food buffs, still using healing cat, improper use of healing items, no drugs/seeds/powders, no slinger maneuvers.
I will commend him for getting thru it with so many handy caps. It took me a while and I took the time to farm jewels, augment my weapon with health regen, stack my inventory with items to craft more potions just in case, upgrade all my mantels, upgrade all my armor to max, apply all attack and defense buffs, ditch my cat, always make sure the head was tenderized, and used the clutch claw to wall bang. He did none of those thing but he persevered 💪
Bro in a weird way I'm so happy for him for getting over this wall I started a month ago so my progress is very similar to his I'll hold off on fatalis till i see him attempting it
what people do is take advantage of food buffs for extra lives and that make it far easier. If you cant beat it like that you can also use your palico to steal items and get all the gear from the hunt and you become far more powerful. so defeating these bosses isn't necessary to get geared to make it alot easier. good luck with that anyway. Fatalis isn't harder it's just a different fight with more damage so it's balancing dps and safety rather than brute forcing.
Hey man! You can for sure wait, I will personally say Fatalis is in some ways easier than Alatreon. Fatalis is a flat dps check and you have to be consistently aggressive with him since the timer is only 30 minutes however! no element neccessary or build switch. It took me around 30 tries for my first beat on him so good luck bro!
Undergeared - Check Low health build - Check Insists on playing True Charged Slash playstyle - Check Doesn't tenderize the head - Check Doesn't wallbang - Check Doesn't buff with demondrugs / powder / seeds - Check Asmon's a stubborn old mule.... lmao. The whole "I learn from playing" argument falls apart when you've been at it for days, banging your head against the wall to try and brute force it... In reality, he's CHOSEN the path of MOST resistance. Hahahah.
Thanks for pointing this out. It's so annoying because his argument just doesn't make sense at all. It's not that he didn't learn these mechanics. It's the fact that he REFUSES to learn
and some people called him "skilled" but in reality he just brute forces things and getting lucky. he could have finished it days ago if he knew how to use those mechanics and having not to be "stressed" out playing the game.
What surprises me is he did it with few handholds. No extra max potions. No extra ancients. No clutch claw techniques. And no mounts. No augments. No powders or drugs either. Just straight up hunting. Well done!
This is the dude that took on pre-nerd Radahn with no summons on horseback. Say what you will about his build and item loadout, but dude's got legit skill as a gamer.
True, with all over the place armor skills, forcing TCS with frostcraft, no sharpen, only use mantle once, no extra life from food, just playing on a self imposed hardmode and still beat it. Legit gamer moment
Well to be fair raw mechanics can still carry you in MH as long as you are good at them. Items aren't necessary the never have been. Yes to some degree I'd debate that for FU. I know they are easy examples but take Nibelsnarf. You don't need Bomb L/+ they just speed up the process. You can beat cephadrome without Sonic. You'll just want to kermit. You can beat Rath without Flash. You'll be irritated but in the end it's all possible. As long as you are good in raw mechanics and have a gear set within the power creep. Now of course with a Black Dragon like Alatreon, it seems fair that he could do it... even though it took multiple hours of back to back Ala hunting. I applaud the tenacity, even if this could be alleviated with a but more research and willingness to learn. In some ways Asmon displays a Hunters greatest asset. Their Determination. Congrats
@@kyreestandifer522 this is true up until Fatalis. Solo GS vs Fatalis without items or mantles or utilizing those core mechanics you were talking about it just won't happen. He'll either cart or lose to time
I don't think I've ever seen Asmon like this, he was in verge of tears for beating this boss. simply shocked. You have made many people proud of your work, congrats my man 🎉
Honestly i was so surprised he did on his final atempt, specially after watching him forgetting about the horns and locking Alatreon on Ice active and then raging on every single flinch he took, i mean the man was so stressed by the end , that any little damage/flinch that alatreon did to him was a rage moment 😂 and man was painful to watch him changing his gear to normal /nitro at the middle of an atempt
There’s no way you just said that lmfao, using the easiest weapon in the game, maxed divine blessing and max level healing cat the game is as easy as it gets
not that impressive when you realize he was bitching, moaning and about to rage quit on it. Plus theres really no incentive in playing the way he did, technically he just brute forced it yet again, without engaging with the systems the game so generously lets you have the freedom in. Everyone can do that, face planting on a wall over and over again until you eventually finish it, the question is, is that fun? He didn't look like he was having fun. Learning to get better in mh with trial and error, changing up strats, build, tools, weapon and monster knowledge is what the joy on mh is all about. From what i'm seeing he's not enjoying it because he's so stubbornly don't want to learn stuff.
Congratulations on beating my favourite Endgame MHWI Boss. Through all the despair of failed attempts you still weathered the storm that is alatreon. While bad moves always happen in every hunt, you were amazing because at this point many of us with a 1000+ hours at the time of release already were decked out with gear and struggled despite having life steal. You did complete it without it and that's something nobody can take from you.
Now if you're willing to challenge yourself some more there's some things left. - Fatalis the true endgame boss - Arch tempered Namielle(if you haven't yet) - Arch Tempered Velkhana Each offering something a lil different.
@@Chinito116 I think I might be the only dumbass that somehow finds AT Velkhana harder than Fatalis and Alatreon... My gamestyle seems completely uncompatible with that b*tch -.-
@@mab3667 0, and I mean 0 chance he kills AT Velkhana. Even I struggle with that. The DPS check is real. He cannot waffle like he does with Alatreon. He will NEVER engage with enough systems to kill ATV.
I WAS HERE Pog I was kinda sad since I really wanted Asmon to at least reach Fatalis and he seemed like he was giving up for real, but then he just turbo smurfed his last attempt and actually killed him. Seriously, it's like he unlocked ultra instinct on that last attempt, the guy kept dodging everything perfectly (except that one death) Now I'm happy, I don't mind if he doesn't beat Fatalis, just him reaching that point is enough for me. Well played Asmon.
Be PROUD! Asmon did it with style! The average joe spams multiplayer and gets carried by a strong team, Asmon went the extra mile and solo'd the thing and really fought hard for it! Ive a feeling his first fatalis kill is the same? Dang son....
Nice and congrats, it took me a whole week to kill the bastard but man... It feels great once you did it... and then you realize that you need to do it all over again just to get that shiny new helmet you wanted...
Monster Hunter has this mystique that you only kill the monster when you are really ready to do so, so the second time you usually succeed much more easily.
Nice! Glad you got the kill today and didn't give it up, you can't deny, it feels so god damn good when you finally get that first kill under your belt! FATALIS -NEXT- WHEN?!?
Bro seeing you come this far and slaying one of the most difficult bosses most players never beat. Brings me great joy I look forward to seeing you beat fatalis.
Not to give away my age but mad respect sir. I was genuinely impressed you didn't give up I had watched your MHW journey, and it had inspired me to create a third character to play through the game in its entirety. Which I did and am very happy I did. I was saddened when I heard you say if you didn't do it this time it'd be your last attempt. I don't believe in ever giving up. It is the things that challenge us that help us grow the most IMHO. Even a video game can build character if it something that you work for as it helps you grow on a fundamental level character wise again IMHO. It was never an issue of skill. I watched and your instincts and reaction times were on point. Somethings just take patience and the ability to not get rattled by consistent defeats. It is the ability to maintain your state of mind that helps you learn in such situations so you can overcome the fight. In my opinion it was that you let the fight rattle you and never took the time to learn all the fundamentals of the game and there is specific mechanics I believe you are unaware of for Alatreon and surviving his judgment attack. Also, Greatsword is probably the worst weapon to fight specifically Alatreon. I main GS, Hammer and Chargeblade so I think my opinion has some merit. All of GS attacks are slow and are counterproductive to building status damage which is arguably the most important part of the fight. I don't know if you read these, especially TL:DR comments(lol) but I hope you do, and I hope to see you fight Fatalis next. Again, mad respect sir.
its not a skill problem it's a knowledge problem. he constantly refuses to talk about strategy because he thinks thousands of people are leading him into a wild goose chase but just using the correct food buff by being inside the gathering hub would give him one more life to play with every fight. Just that would have cut two days off this fight.
No offence but saying Greatsword on alatreon is bad is an L take, it’s considered to be one of the fastest weapons to kill alatreon with while alatreon has enough big openings to punish it with the weapon as well. I killed alatreon easily 2K times by now. Even tho I’m not into GS do I have many friends that do him consistently and we usually get noticeably fast times without any problems
I was 100% thinking you'd stop here. You've played most of World/Iceborne and have had a fantastic experience. I legitimately thought you'd be done with it before being able to kill Alatreon but I'm insanely happy you continued❤️🔥
I am proud. Considering you raged at this...BUT did not give up and as stubborn as you were that you wanted to solo it first...This Kill is fucking WELL earned and well deserved.
I NEARLY CRIED WHEN HE FINALLY BEAT IT OMG CONGRATS. I could not do this when I first started the game, I just could not get the topple or break the horns and he would kill me before I even got him to 50%. Seeing Asmon beat him with no wall bang, barely any tenderize, no guiding lands etc just makes me want to re-start a file and try and challenge myself now too
This video is an excellent showcase of how Monster Hunter manipulates you. "This is so annoying, I hate this fight, I don't want to play anymore" Game gives you a rare item with a shiny effect and special animation: "Oh wow, I love this".
YOOO let's go! also I wish his editors would edit a blindfold to his face and post a clip from this on his clips channel with a title like REAL Fastest Blindfolded Alatreon kill
It's surprising to me how he refuses to prepare for the fight properly lol, it would've been so much easier if he just took armor/demon drugs, honey and flash bombs
@@ryu_lidu he didnt really cart all the time because he ran out of mega potions Also dont bring honey...bring recombines for max potions Armor druga is pretty useless, demodrug helps a tiny little bit flashbombs only are worth it if alatreon flies and is not enraged
I started watching his videos to see the confusion, despair, and gamer's stubbornness of someone fighting Fatalis for the first time, which I could no longer experience in my own body. Finally.
It's amazing how even when he is running Crit+Punishing Draw Asmon simply refuses to sheath the fucking sword (or do Full Charge from draw) Had he spent less time blindly throwing TCS hoping they land, Alatreon would've been dead a month ago lol Edit: He really should've learned to also use the clutch claw better. Enraged Alatreon is so much easier to deal with if you can count to 3, the horns are auto breaks, you can dodge that airborne shit he does of breathing directly down while also tenderizing, you can drop down from the grab for some cheeky free Full Charge Slashes... But hey, what else to expect from someone who "learns" how to use the claw by running Temporal and Rockstead amirite?
Temporal and rocksteady are the best. Ofc you need to learn when to clutch claw but rocksteady and temporal makes thinks more easier in iceborne where monsters are very aggresive. I see you know a lot about alatreon and thats fair but most people just want to play the game and not doing a reaserch for monster movesent and when it is optimal to attack, lets be serious
He was doing fine other than focusing the legs when he shouldn't be. There were too many wasted runs because he focused the legs or horns at the complete wrong times. The unintentional horn break in his last solo fight saved that attempt.
@@yokai0i354 You don't need to research to figure those things out though, you can figure it out by just paying a little bit of attention to the fight
I know for some people they think fatalis is easier then alatreon but i think its because your either veteran MH players or over prepared and i mean that more then just gear wise. I think asmon can do it but i know already what hes gonna struggle with. Fatalis is the only fight where hes harder both solo and in a group and i know that makes no sense but its true lol. Asmon, as a novice hunter, GS user, and most likely doing it solo, doesnt use clutch claw mutch, doesn't know STC, and obliviously crutches on Divine Blessing (not a shot at asmon) hes gonna STRUGGLE but he can do. As a GS user hes gonna have to be RELENTLESS and AGGRESSIVE and get a lot of TCs off. It can be done but it's gonna be much harder than alatreon. Alatreon may Dmg check but Fatty will Skill check. hopefully asmon pulls through
@@kurtgomez4171 i agree. I only struggled on Alatreon because I never bothered to learn the mechanics lol. Up until seeing people explain it to asmon I would just take my fatty gear and GS in to the fight and raw DMG it. I still can't do a fatty run successfully reliably. I might get one a week and that's with endgame optimized builds.
Big grats, good hunter!! I love this game so much, I was so glad to see so many new players giving it a shot after all these years. I'm excited for Wilds. 00:01 why does his mouse move when hes not touching anything and switch the player count to 1?...... i think he paid someone to do it because whats going on
If he paid someone to do it, he should get a refund. That was not pay-worthy skill. A pro should at least know that you go the arms after the horn is broken for that phase. It has higher elemental HZVs. It's acceptable for someone new to the game to not know that, but not someone expecting to get paid.
Alatreon on the last fight is a paid actor. He moves his head towards the the sword swing because asmon for some reason just refuses to hit his head lmao. Watching this live is a rollercoaster of emotions.
the fact that ASMON was able to beat ALATREON while not even having the most optimized build just makes those who still complain about the MONSTER being DPS check look like losers this proves ALATREON as a good MONSTER DESIGN that requires you to actually build the right set to counter it.
@@BadEnd98 Exactly the Monster is well design and challenging while still being fair. it still baffles me why people still think Alatreon in world is bad.
@@chito2701it’s because most players can’t beat him by playing super safe and having to “change playstyle” despite the fact that most of the weapons play exactly the same with an elemental build anyway. He just incentives playing aggressively and well, most players skirt by on the basis of being “good enough”. So alat and fatalis come along and “good enough” no longer work.
for those who laugh on him for taking this long..how many of you did alatreon alone/just palico?without sending out the flare, praying to god, that someone with a chinese name will show up? this is the most difficult monster in the game imo; Fatalis has way more patterns that you can expose, exspecialy with his GS build.
Time Limit way more 1 Shot potential? Sure what Asmon did is a job well done, but Fatty is in my opinion way to hard when you don't use all the mechanics in the game.
@@busta8092 sure at the beginning you die a milion times but, for me at least, aftera while i was able to kill him solo pretty consistenly with the GS, only by baiting his cone flame attack, and hitting him 2 times. plus of course cannons at the start, balista ,ecc...i noticed that if you fight him solo is way easier to avoid dmg, cause heìs always focused on you.
I'm surprised he made it this far without anyone ever telling him that the strong wide slash on greatsword has increased elemental damage, or him ever trying recovery up, speed eating or free meal, lol.
I found it easier solo than with a group. Solo I started to reliably break horns and reach dmg checks but randoms simply couldn't do it. Without spending time on learning the moveset, it is difficult to not get Hit in a group hunt
@@ltlsWhatltIs hmm... what i meant was mid-game gear. you can get the frostcraft-gear rather early. and thinking of how strong you can get with more playtime/farming i still think both phrasings are ok :p

Yes fought and killed atv way before alatreon or fatalis, with that very same gear. Frostfang GS is also BIS, tho dunno how well it compares to kjarr ice gs. With fire... i do use kjarr fire gs.
The fact that he did the normal version not even the nerfed version is insane aside from all the other handicaps he has going against him. Insanely impressive and a huge accomplishment.
@@bardol359 Not the best GS (Not even close to Rajangs, Shara, Acidic Glavenus or Nerg damage) but good for this fight and not augmented and a good armor but again not augmented. I stopped at Shara cause I didn’t want to wait for dlc to come out. Picked it back up and did all the dlc up until Alatreon. I am going for health augment 1 at least cause HH really doesn’t like to withdraw their weapon in fights with small openings. But I didn’t realize I need MR70 for my weapon’s augments so I fell short before FF7R.
It is so easy to see what is best in slot: count 4star gems as 2 points, all other as 1 point and every skill point on it as 1 point (and of course the set bonus should make sense). Items with 7 points are good, 8 are excellent, and everything over it is awesome. All the skills you otherwise want you get over the gems.
Fuck AT Velkhana. So much bullshit packed into one. - Some of the worst hit zone values in the game, can stun you out of rock steady or temporal, hits like a train, and all of that in 20 min. Bullshit
To do this with mid gear ( Alatreon came out months later after hunters have been farming guiding lands for min max builds) and no augments (health augment = 3 gs hits ur at full hp) !! Asmon truly a skilled hunter
I mean dude, if you fight the same enemy long enough, you will eventually win. I would disagree it was mid gear. He has rocksteady, health booster, vigor palico, and the basic meta GS build frostcraft recommended for Ala. So I wouldnt go as far to say mid gear lol.
He's an extremely stubborn one though. He's gimping himself in more ways than just gear lol: 1. No buffs 2. No tenderizing 3. No wallbang 4. Still keeps insisting on using the True Charged Slash playstyle 5. Doesnt bother reading up on horn mechanics and elemental phases. He's playing life on hard mode. Worst part is, he doesn't even realize it lmao
You are gonna need some key skills for fatalis. Divine blessing, artillery expert (the one for using cannons and ballista). You will also need to watch a few guides or runs to see how your are supposed to do it correctly. For unlocking more monsters, you’ll need to use the guiding lands
He has been relying on DB and his Palico the entire time until Alat actually😂. His Palico is the true MVP, Ive never seen a Palico take 90% of the aggro in all quests
and that is not even enough, fatalis doesnt tolerate peeps who doesnt fully use the core mechanics of the game either asmon need to be a pro tcs slinger gs player that always snipe fatalis head a lot of times or become like most players that do all the core mechanics of the game to beat fatalis alone

Thank you! This should be pinned!
Best comment aside from the ones prising his run haha
Thanks been looking for this
@@RaidenSaya nah it's better to watch from the start imo , it's just not as fun and exciting when you're watching and already know what's going to happen like you don't feel the same stress and excitement as the actual stream, watching him killing him without expecting it just feels alot better , even though you can tell from the title and the length of the video but I always just tell myself that maybe this is the run and the rest of the stream is just him doing other upgrades or following the quest so it keeps me excited
@@osama9501 It's not that deep.
I remember him watching gameplay videos of this game before he started playing, saying how terrible it was, but also mentioning that if one eventually succeeds in defeating those monsters, it must feel awesome. And now, he finally gets to experience that feeling firsthand. That's the magic of this game.
No might seed/demondrugs, no health augments, no kulve weapons, no SOS, no insurance, no deco grind, no max pot mats in pouch, TCS greeding on crit draw build,
STILL BEAT ALATREON somehow
no wallbangs
Sometimes it gets really annoying how asmon refuses to engage with any of the games mechanics and brute forces everything lol
Like he almost dropped the game bcs it was "too hard" even tho it's only that hard bcs he's doing dumb shit like trying to perfect roll alatreon breath attack instead of simply sheathing his weapon and doing superman dive
@@ryu_liduno literally like watching him makes me annoyed bc he literally won't engage with the systems and refuses to learn
Don't forget no Attack Up Large from Food Buffs too.
People who were saying hes undergeared are dumb, he was just playing handicapped by not using wallbangs, missing claggers and ignoring 2 of the most important moves in GS kit.
Fatalis gonna be crazy
I wasn't ready for all the feedback 😭
i think hes gonna make it. fatalis is *imo* easier than alatreon
@@hatohatomo idk if it's "easier" but it has less of a gimmick than Alatreon, and for someone like Asmon that has good fundamentals but refuses to learn any kind of gimmick unless absolutely necessarily, it might be a good matchup for him lol.
@@hatohatomoProbably. But without high defensive stats, Fatalis has a habit of one shotting wayyyy more than Alatreon.
@hatohatomo Absolutely no way Fatalis is easier. If you fail to break his head twice you're screwed. And you have a 30 minute timer.
I fight Fatalis for years, still die on speedrun setup. Even tho I know every single move he has, try to solo it with no palico, he’s not easier than Alatreon
It was so good actually watching it on stream because he killed it on his final attempt and wanted to quit mh if he failed

This clear was pretty nuts and way harder than it needed to be
- Didn’t wallbang or tenderize
- Probably didn’t have the best jewels or good charms really either as he’s pretty much fresh out of iceborne
- No health augment which would’ve made the fight so much comfier
- Doesn’t even have good Food buff setups and just eats between chefs choice and meat platter (bro could’ve had 4-5 lives)
That was fucking insane to witness on stream last night. Gz Asmon
His Decos are actually okay. Not BiS but definitely serviceable. I'm surprised how lucky he is with them.
But yeah no wallbangs or tenders, no augments, no proper food buffs, still using healing cat, improper use of healing items, no drugs/seeds/powders, no slinger maneuvers.
wallbanging alatreon is actually so unreliable i think it's better to just not do it lol
i only do it when he's in the air
I will commend him for getting thru it with so many handy caps. It took me a while and I took the time to farm jewels, augment my weapon with health regen, stack my inventory with items to craft more potions just in case, upgrade all my mantels, upgrade all my armor to max, apply all attack and defense buffs, ditch my cat, always make sure the head was tenderized, and used the clutch claw to wall bang. He did none of those thing but he persevered 💪
Bro in a weird way I'm so happy for him for getting over this wall
I started a month ago so my progress is very similar to his
I'll hold off on fatalis till i see him attempting it
GL on the hunts, man!
what people do is take advantage of food buffs for extra lives and that make it far easier.
Undergeared - Check
Low health build - Check
Insists on playing True Charged Slash playstyle - Check
Doesn't tenderize the head - Check
Doesn't wallbang - Check
Doesn't buff with demondrugs / powder / seeds - Check
Asmon's a stubborn old mule....
“I’m out of potions I’m just gonna not take damage” 😂
Sadly enough all these "handholds" he didn't use is gonna be why Fatalis MIGHT make him quit. If he doesn't cart he'll lose to the timer sadly
You have made many people proud of your work, congrats my man 🎉
He really did it
Now its Fatalis time
Honestly i was so surprised he did on his final atempt, specially after watching him forgetting about the horns and locking Alatreon on Ice active and then raging on every single flinch he took, i mean the man was so stressed by the end , that any little damage/flinch that alatreon did to him was a rage moment 😂 and man was painful to watch him changing his gear to normal /nitro at the middle of an atempt
Considering he’s been playing the whole game on a self-imposed hard mode that’s pretty impressive.
I know right harder difficulty but by omission of not knowing base mechanics, it's really impressive.
There’s no way you just said that lmfao, using the easiest weapon in the game, maxed divine blessing and max level healing cat the game is as easy as it gets
@@xdxd-is8bb I’m saying he’s either failed to learn or refused to use key tools that make the game much easier.
@@xdxd-is8bbLiterally everything you said is wrong lmao
not that impressive when you realize he was bitching, moaning and about to rage quit on it.

@RuneKatashima @mab3667 yea there is a constant ongoing debate whether atv or fatty is harder
I WAS HERE Pog
I was kinda sad since I really wanted Asmon to at least reach Fatalis and he seemed like he was giving up for real, but then he just turbo smurfed his last attempt and actually killed him. Seriously, it's like he unlocked ultra instinct on that last attempt, the guy kept dodging everything perfectly (except that one death)
Now I'm happy, I don't mind if he doesn't beat Fatalis, just him reaching that point is enough for me. Well played Asmon.
Yea I was amazed he manned up and focused as hard as he did on the last run. I thought he'd tilt until he uninstalled.
Congratulations! I remember my first time.. never felt so proud after sooooo many attempts. It has been a real pleasure watching you go through these.
Even with low build and ooga booga style, he can do it, no excuses now for everyone
Be PROUD! Asmon did it with style! The average joe spams multiplayer and gets carried by a strong team, Asmon went the extra mile and solo'd the thing and really fought hard for it! Ive a feeling his first fatalis kill is the same? Dang son....
Yeah I watched it. I was there when he said he would delete his save file if he cannot kill Alatreon XD

Plunderblade and Stick break LBG; am I a joke to you?
Monster Hunter has this mystique that you only kill the monster when you are really ready to do so, so the second time you usually succeed much more easily.
Nice! Glad you got the kill today and didn't give it up, you can't deny, it feels so god damn good when you finally get that first kill under your belt!
FATALIS -NEXT- WHEN?!?
Can't wait to see his reaction to Fatalis

Nice quality no meta drama content. Just what I subscribe for.
That was the clearest face ever, not even post-nut clarity could even come close
Frostcraft greatsword is the best! With crit draw 3 and critical boost 3 it hits hard :) good luck with fatalis :)
I honestly think he’ll have an easier time on fatalis. I did.
I legitimately thought you'd be done with it before being able to kill Alatreon but I'm insanely happy you continued❤️🔥
im impressed he got this far without a temporal mantle
Temporal is whatever, it won't stop anyone from clearing, just makes the hunt a bit comfier.

His excitement on the group run and makinv the sword was the best part. Worth watching the whole video for.
It's surprising to me how he refuses to prepare for the fight properly lol, it would've been so much easier if he just took armor/demon drugs, honey and flash bombs
Flash bomb? That shit is useless in iceborne my dude.

I started watching his videos to see the confusion, despair, and gamer's stubbornness of someone fighting Fatalis for the first time, which I could no longer experience in my own body.
Finally.
It's amazing how even when he is running Crit+Punishing Draw Asmon simply refuses to sheath the fucking sword (or do Full Charge from draw)
Had he spent less time blindly throwing TCS hoping they land, Alatreon would've been dead a month ago lol
Edit: He really should've learned to also use the clutch claw better.
He used to sheathe a lot in the early vids
He’s not some sort of gamer with hundreds of hours in the game nor the kind of person who wants to learn by researching things like that
Temporal and rocksteady are the best.

00:01 why does his mouse move when hes not touching anything and switch the player count to 1?...... i think he paid someone to do it because whats going on
Damn maybe editing mistake, but it does look weird
If he paid someone to do it, he should get a refund. That was not pay-worthy skill. A pro should at least know that you go the arms after the horn is broken for that phase. It has higher elemental HZVs.
It's acceptable for someone new to the game to not know that, but not someone expecting to get paid.
Alatreon on the last fight is a paid actor. He moves his head towards the the sword swing because asmon for some reason just refuses to hit his head lmao. Watching this live is a rollercoaster of emotions.

14:47 palicoes save lives 😁
the fact that ASMON was able to beat ALATREON while not even having the most optimized build just makes those who still complain about the MONSTER being DPS check look like losers
this proves ALATREON as a good MONSTER DESIGN that requires you to actually build the right set to counter it.
He didn't even utilize tenderizing and slinger TCS skip
it's good in small doses. if every fight required a different gear set, people would quit until the next game so fast.

He skipped monsters that are not related to the story.
I WAS THERE live, the secondhand HYPE was awesome!
Very impressed considering he didn't use any demon drugs, no insurance/moxie, no wallbangs etc
didnt even watch the kill did ya bud
@@agro2k256 I was there live bro
@@agro2k256 he never did when he fought solo. i think you watched the part when he was in a multiplayer session.
Wait until he finds out of the ultimate endgame: Fatalis
GG next boss you have to rely on divine blessing
He has been relying on DB and his Palico the entire time until Alat actually😂. His Palico is the true MVP, Ive never seen a Palico take 90% of the aggro in all quests
and that is not even enough, fatalis doesnt tolerate peeps who doesnt fully use the core mechanics of the game either asmon need to be a pro tcs slinger gs player that always snipe fatalis head a lot of times or become like most players that do all the core mechanics of the game to beat fatalis alone
The MH gods finally decided to stop toying with him upon hearing how close he was to quitting.
now Fatalis awaits him, alongside silver/gold raths, savage deviljho, brute tigrex, etc
He is getting good, nice job man.
Never used a demon drug,
never wall banged,
non augmented weapon
only bringing 2 max potion instead of 7 through materials,
never used a flash pod.
no slinger burst combo.
all in all. pretty skilled and did well. hard mode.
hope he keeps going for fatalis
Wow, solo and without fatalis armor too. *salute*
Alatreon and fatalis are the only monsters in the game that really give you the feeling of achieving somethingthey are hard, but fair.
at velkana as well
@@joec.6043ark velkhana isn't fair IMO
@@be643 Depends on the weapon you use. For some weapons the fight is quite fair just very punishing. Ex Behemoth and Safi are not fair.
@@be643 yeah, the hitboxes kinda sucks sometimes..
extremoth and ancient leshen are literal hell, they are the only BS monsters (maybe add in lavasioth too) safi isn't BS but the fight is a snooze
Oh yeah now fatalis is waiting at the castle😂😂😂 Are we going to see him fighting Arch-Tempered Velkhana in MR100?
Now he has to farm Alatreon for Fatalis fight
Oh my god. He's done it. Alatreon is down.
