@@Sean-1 The last 2k game I played was 2k20 before I picked up 2k again with 2k23 and I was surprised how similar it was to 2k20 considering this was essentially the 2k16 of this "new" console generation. 2k16 was radically different than the mess that was 2k13 and brought upon a better era of 2k. One could argue a basketball game can't evolve it's gameplay radically every year but it can evolve everything else. Just yesterday I played season 6 and the game was lagging while walking around in the City. I personally don't know who asked for a City in 2K, it makes them no more money than if it were all based on menu navigation. And now the "next gen" game is held back by a development team that fails to see the true joy of the game, the gameplay. Hundreds of GB's worth of a game and it's ran on an SSD, the loading times are quick and we can see it when entering the City but are gone when in between games, the matchmaking and end game loading times feel like I'm playing a ps4 2k in 2023 for the price of a ps5 game. I have a lot more to say about the architecture/foundation of the game but it probably isn't necessary to divulge anymore of my disdain with the game.
In response for the rebounding cheese Joe, I just think if your going wager someone on the 1v1 court there needs to be an agreement on a one possession rule or take backs on everything cause that shit is stupid. Then it'll make the games more skill based.
9:18 that’s the same issue with paint def. You can block someone and your player will flinch or some shit like he’s scared while the offensive big can grab the rebound after missing and go right back up while you’re still recovering. It doesn’t make sense.
I think in general 1s 2s and 3s the guard needs more stick skill than 5s but 5s guards have to have way more IQ, because making reads is much harder than cooking one defender or making a one pass read in 1s/2s and5s is much less RNG based, if you’re getting clamped you’re usually just getting clamped
The side hop jumper is easier to time then the fade… but the fade is faster… like I can’t fade right so I always do hopshot when running right if I don’t have enough space to stop
To agree with joe and put things fairly 2k23 is more of a team based game, so to me every 1v1 game looks like your just casually playing a friend for fun even when your both sweating
2k can easily fix that contest problem they just don’t want too on defense the x button isn’t useable so when you tap triangle to contest they can make x to cancel out of a contest so the animation won’t play out and put you behind the defender
I personally love the 1v1 court, because just like you said you can be cookin on the 3's and your teammates bum it up. 1's court ain't nobody to help on defense if you get cooked.

Ima be honest bro, I hear you but the only event I have ever been invited to was Community Day last year and they didn't ask for any feedback or even give me the chance to give feedback. It was just a chance to record game footage early which I shared with you guys on my main channel. If I ever did get the chance to give feedback to gameplay devs I for sure would give them my honest thoughts. Maybe I'll get that chance in the future...
1v1 is my least favorite game mode. 5v5 is by far my favorite, I can play 1-4 at a comp level & pg is my best position. I never really like ones, it takes a unreal amount of focus & seems less rewarding for me then all other game play. I like the team aspect & having structure & team success over cooking a bum.

I have tbh I don’t understand why 1v1 wagers aren’t more popular ppl do 2v2 wagers but they literally play 1v1 iso the entire time and only pass the ball to their teammate when they get clamped seems like their teammate is just a bail out most of the time the only thing annoying about ones is when somebody misses a layup and then they get the rebound right back I wish they added a 1s court where when you miss it’s automatically your opponent’s ball
