Any chance you worked at a mall and played on your lunch break? I would see people who did that all the time whenever I would go to mall with my parents and eat in the food court. After I ate I’d go spend a few dollars in the arcade which was next to the food court playing fighting games or Run N Gun 2. Years later when I could drive I’d go with my Buddy to the bigger arcade down the street from the mall, it was much bigger and had LIGHT. My mall arcade was smaller. It was also very very dark and looking back on it… had very creepy people in there all the time.
I'm proud with this era.my brother and I played this in an arcade where we buy some tokens and play a lot.what I love about this game is the alley oop and the put back dunk.so sick.
well there is also nba play by play for arcade and nba in the zone for ps1 which are both based off of run and gun and released by konami. nba give n go on snes is a port of the original run and gun game.
Ebay or on a Facebook arcade cabinet group page where people and arcade cabinet shops are always selling cabinets or look up how to build a mame cabinet from scratch and and add the marquees yourself.
well the raspberry pi 4 was released in june 2019 and both run and gun games were added in 2003 versions of mame which are incredibly out of date. mameui+ is based on a newer version of mame so the game will run on the raspberry pi
@@jayden6538 yeah, I had somebody sell me the Wolfanoz 256 GB Supreme Pro Image. They added Run and Gun 1, 2 to it. Run n Gun 1 is on mame 2003 (plays perfectly ) Run and Gun 2 is on Mame 2010. It plays a tiny bit slow, but I overclocked the pi to 1.7mhz and it plays at almost 100% of full speed. I'm soon getting the 1TB Wolfanoz Retromania Supreme Ultra image, it has Rushing Heroes on it. The other guy couldn't get it to boot, so I'm happy to finally be able to play all 3 of those roms.

Apologize for all the questions, but I've been waiting for someone to finally say they can probably play this game on a raspberry console!
@@ajenetarrant2716 No problem, I'm happy to answer your questions. As far as to which pi you get, buy the raspberry pi4 B+. Thats newest model. I bought mine pre-assembled with a cooling fan and case from Ebay. The sellers name is Retro Pie Guy. I bought the console, hdmi cable, 2 controllers, power adapter, and micro SD card pre-loaded with 1,000's of games for around 200 dollars a couple months ago. You can buy the pi4 buy itself from Canakit, for less than 100 but you will need to buy a fan and assemble everything yourself going that route. Overclocking is easy, on the SD card which is what holds all your roms and emulators, their are built in scripting programs to set overclock voltage. Most games don't need it, N64, Saturn games benefits fom it mostly. PSX and Dreamcast, most Mame roms all play perfectly without overclocking. Run and Gun 1 plays 100% full speed and no audio issues, de-syncs, slow down or any issues whatsoever. Run and Gun 2 plays a little slower on emulators, so I overclock to 1.7ghz when playing, then switch back to factory setting when I'm done. Now comes the tricky part, finding the SD card image with a game build that has run gun 1, 2 on it. I bought a 256GB Wolfanoz Supreme Pro image from a seller on ebay called Retro_Game_Asylum I requested that exact image and that he specifically add both Run and Gun roms before shipping. He did and thats how I first got them playing on the Pi4. I still wanted Rushing Heroes, the football version of Run and Gun. So I did my research on ArcadePunks.com, and saw only 2 pre- loaded images for download that have all 3 Konami sports titles. The one I bought is 1TB Wolfanoz Supreme Ultra SSD image from a seller on Ebay called cardoflegends. The other pre-loaded image is Damaso 512GB Nostalgia Trip V.2. You will need to buy a larger image SD build if you want those Konami games coming preloaded in the arcade collection. 256GB Images usually won't include it by default. Adeing roms is easy, format a USB stick to Fat32, create a new folder, name it retropie all lowercase. Put it in the USB 3.0 port in the Pi4. Let it blink for 30 secs to a minute, plug it back into your PC. Check the folder, make sure it created the directories and sub folders for games. Download your roms, extract only if needed, place your roms in the corresponding rom folder within the retropie folder. Like Mame roms in Arcade folder etc... Plug it back into the Pi4. Let it blink for a minute or so. Restart Emulation Station, play your game you just added!!!

this game looks good but ino slam n jam 95 was more refined. rg2 had really smooth dribble moves and advance dunks and layups but it seems you cannot pass out after pressing the shoot button? in slam and jam 95 you tap the button to run faster and you can select iso or screen via the shoulder buttons. you can also pass anytime before a shot/layup/dunk. while animation isnt as fancy the movement are smoother. each player also have their names and different stats which makes it a more realistic basketball game and while it doesnt have fancy dunks it has a few different dunks including 360deg dunk.
I don't know why he chose not to but you could hang (and/or fade away), much longer on a shot and pass out at any point in the process, you could also double clutch when going for a dunk, and which looked awesome (you could also get blocked on it, not so awesome).

Such great memories with this sports arcade gem!
The best thing about this was the sound that came from the cabinet. When you made or scored that crowd really roared.

this game is still the shit wish they would put it on psn or the xbox marketplace, it was almost a sin not to dunk everytime lmao
