I actually do my hobbies more than reading about them. It probably has to do with me monitoring and limiting my screen time😁. *aisling* (also her channel name) talked about "breakdown" on her channel in her april wrap up and got me interested in the book. If I can get it, I will read it!

I'm a great advocate for public libraries and in the past always used them, rather than buying books. I just wanted to bring something to your attention about libraries and second charity shop books, without sounding overly paranoid. Bedbugs. They are being found in many libraries now inside books. Some inner city libraries have had to close because of infestations. Once in your home they are very expensive to irradicate, and their bites are unpleasant. I have friend who this happened to, and also have heard many other cases. My friend having finally got rid of them professionally now puts any library book or second hand book into a plastic ziplock food bag and leaves it for a few days to see what crawls out. They are very small and flat, easily dismissed. Sorry to to sound so miserable but it is becoming a real problem in the UK. Before I retired I worked in a university library....full of human fleas 😢.

I've never looked into libby because I don't tend to read whole books on my kindle. But I'm thinking I should give it a go! Do I just download the libby app and use my library details to log in?
@@MercysBookishMusings Yes, it is very easy and a great app. Maybe you don't find all the books on there your library has available as physical books, because the licences for digital books are different ones. But you also might find some books, that are not available at the library. I know you prefer physical books, but you'll never know.
