    Putting the tree back on the left side of the fireplace makes sense. The tree near your bedroom obstructs the doorway and flow in/out. Love your take on traditional green decor-each element is a statement. And the wreath is magnificent 🎄

      I would put the second tree nearer the entrance on the white wall

      The wreath needs some colour

    I LOVE JACK! What an adorable couple. I loved every moment of him patiently going from ceiling to floor to get it right. The shot is his legs sticking out from under the tree is priceless -even more so with shorts on! Love everything. The new black spindles are gorgeous. All your hard work pays off. 🎄🎄🎄

    I heard on the news last night (11/8) that this time of year brings out depression in many people. All they have to do is watch your channel every morning and they’ll feel happier all day. Thank you, Valentina, for you and your happy vibe and informative channel. ❤😊

    You 100% nailed the modern/ natural/ wintery / elegant look. I feel sorry for Jack that we even suggested to try the Christmas tree on the overside as he had to crawl the entire room with it. In fact, the left side of your fireplace was looking too empty. So it makes sense to keep it there. Even though I think that two Christmas trees would be a great styling, it finally has to suit your traditions and family’s way of living and enjoying those precious moments. Your video was a blast to watch and thank you for sharing. PS : I haven’t realized how humongous your wreath was.

    Awesome! I put my tree on something like a planter stand on castors so it can be rotated to decorate the back and moved. MIne’s handmade with ply and the stand is screwed onto it. With your stand I’d attach some wide chair leg rubber protectors to the stand and put the legs in them. If you don’t know where you want the tree, take a few photos of where you think you want it before getting decorations out and photoshop in last year’s tree into the pics or use room design software.
    I’ve been rewatching your ‘22 tree decorating video all year and based this year’s tree on it with the brown ornaments down to mercury glass ones with a touch of muted turquoise instead of gold and added pine cones and icicles. I used 3 types of fern fronds to fill out my slim tree and it’s fabulous. The lighter fronds make it look like there’s fresh growth on my faux tree. Thanks for the inspiration. ❤ Merry Christmas!

    I was one that said to move the tree, however, after you moved it a 100% agree that where you have it at the end is the best spot!! Kudos to Jack for having always a great attitude!

    I love the black and white of your room. The greenery is just the perfect decor type theme to add to the room and I love it. My goal this year is to set up the biggest white tree we have. My husband thinks it is too big but I'm making the rules this year. We've installed our smaller, narrower white Christmas tree for the past several years. I want my full, tall tree back! Oh, and I do not want to spend any money on decor... I need to make a no-buy rule too! At 62, and as empty nesters, we don't need more decor so I'm repurposing what we have.

    • @g.970
      @g.970 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m 74 and just told my husband today that I need to purge Christmas decor. I used to do six trees. Every room was decorated. I just get exhausted pulling out all the boxes. I’ve told myself to reduce it by 1/3rd this year and another 1/3rd next year. I’d love to do just greenery like Valentina but not sure I can make myself do it that minimal.

    • @createwithconfidence8094
      @createwithconfidence8094 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I understand about purging. I have kept my Christmas stuff to two shelves in my basement for years. The last two years I have done minor purging. My children will likely want very little of my decor. I will enjoy my stuff hopefully for many more years. Yes, just getting out the decor is exhausting, which is why I only start with one tree, fluff and let it sit for a week. Then out come the garland and ornaments. Another weekend sees wreaths and a few other things out. Pacing is a good thing. However, afterwards is a whirlwind of putting everything away as I'm usually done with all but the non Christmas greenery. We do the same thing at work and leave the winter village and "snowy" items up through January.

    • @g.970
      @g.970 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@createwithconfidence8094 I have 75 boxes. 6 are just for lights. We downsized house 17 years ago and new houses don’t have the storage. I miss my basement and attic. All my Christmas is stored under my house. I have about 5’ in height so I’m bent over as I move boxes around and up out from the belly of the house. I’m very fit and feel 35 until I’ve spent a day under the house. In bed now with my heating pad. Start again tomorrow.

    • @createwithconfidence8094
      @createwithconfidence8094 ปีที่แล้ว

      WOW! That is a lot of material. My mom had all her stuff below the house and that was a chore getting her things out after she passed. I will never downsize, mainly because our house still feels the right size. Also, I have a private back yard and a view of the mountains of Colorado so I'm staying until they cart me out. I've always wanted to finish my basement but it makes a great workout room for my husband and great storage too.

    I am in love with your Christmas design! The greenery is exquisite! The placement of everything is perfect. I love one big tree as the focal point by the fireplace, it literally draws your attention to one point and doesn’t confuse the eye! I also love love the new black paint on spindles and the white wall under stairs! Wow! How that all just pops! I love your key to making it all work…take your time, just have fun with it, patience to move things around. There is a beautiful thing that happens which is making your dream come true with messes, laughter and experimenting.

    Velcro zip ties are available on amazon. They also have an assortment of furniture slides to use when moving furniture over carpet or over wood (hard surfaces. The furniture slides are a life saver as well as protecting your floors. Love your room, you and Jack do amazing work. I ordered the command hooks for the mantel. I have used suction cups to hang wreaths on my windows for 28 years. Look forward to your videos.

    I really love where you had the tree to begin with. You have a lot of singular elements, i.e. single wreath, single fireplace garland, sing stair case garland. I wish the tree was taller almost to second floor. Some other Christmas elements maybe dears or white bears beside living room window to fill the space and bring some more balance.

    I am so glad you all decided to place the tree on the left side and added lights to the wreath and the garland on the fire place. I am a huge advocate for lighting, so I think that you all should add lights to the greenery on the stairs and lights on the greenery over the glass bookcases as well. I also loved the idea of 2 trees, but they need to wither be the same or maybe consider doing a grouping of trees on the right side that is the same color of the tree on the left.

    I see what your rationale is about the tree being beside the window making it awkward unwrapping presents, and then the empty space by the fireplace. Although, let's just get Jack to move the Balsom Hill tree back to the window (sorry Jack😁), and then try the Amazon tree in addition by the fireplace. IMO, I love the Balsom Hill tree by the window, and then with the Amazon tree by the fireplace with all the presents might work well. I could be wrong. I could be right. Won't know until you try though.

    Honest opinion, the tree looks most appropriate by the fireplace. Unless the tree is directly in front of the window, or 2 trees flanking the window, it just seems like a random place to place a tree. Perhaps if it were a super slim tree, but even then I think it looks odd by the window. Love it near the fireplace. Everything looks beautiful as always.

    Gorgeous, tree is in prefect location. Adding lights to the wreath and garland make it sing Christmas

    Everything looks beautiful. The tree looks better on the left. Have you ever tried the Luminara flameless candles? They are great for decorating where you don't want to put real candles and they look realistic.

    The Christmas tree looked better on the left side of the room. Glad y’all moved it back.
    Jack is awesome moving the tree around!!

    Yes the trees should match. And we love the idea of having two trees.

    So beautiful. Actually I really like the tree now near the fireplace. I think the lights on the mantel and the wreath tie it all together. Absolutely adore your aesthetic Valentina and such a fun video as always. Xxx

    Balsam tree next to fireplace is so much better! Not two trees. One dynamic tree is so much nicer! Still love
    The elegance of the mirror over the fireplace…wreath is dark on black wall. Reflection of the mirror adds so much!
    Love ur style!

    Ditch a couch. Cluster the trees all together and make a magical forest in front of the windows! There! I made it more complicated! 😝🤣

    It’s very pretty, but I was wondering why you wouldn’t change out your pillows, and perhaps the decor on your tables?
    Maybe it’s just me. But still it looks so pretty, and your excitement is contagious. 😊😁

    Love the tree where it landed up! By the window is too visually cluttered with the muntins of the window, the doorway etc. and MOST OF ALL, your reasoning re: Christmas morning is the most compelling- it should be entirely about how it feels for the family to gather around it - it should be magical and will be!! I love the lights through the garland and wreath. I do lights through all of my garlands. Just adds cozy feel and highlights the greens etc when it’s far out. Love your final result ❤❤❤❤❤❤

    It looks beautiful! If you want to put another Christmas tree by the window maybe a pencil tree would work. Thank you for all the great ideas! Happy Thanksgiving and many blessings!

    Trees in the Forest are Different Colors so by the time you add picks and decorations it won't matter because they'll both be spruced up to the nines ...in My House I have all types and they are All enjoyed but then I Live in the Pacific Northwest ❤ and We have All types of Pines, Furs and spruces as well as Palms but thats why I LoVe it Here😮 Happy Holidays Guys
    Enjoy Your Winderful Home and Family Time ❤❤

    I’d vote for a tree on each side of that beautiful window behind the sofa with same colour lights. Maybe a large deer or polar bear statue beside the fireplace? Something different!! The room will look lovely no matter what you do.

    Completely agree, different colored trees would drive me nutty too. My garland lights need to match as well.
