SXM National Disaster and Crisis Management Exercise 2023

Fostering Resilient Crisis Management (FRCM) is a technical assistance program implemented by VNG International in cooperation with the Government of St Maarten, and funded by EU-RESEMBID. FRCM has as its overall objective to anchor the long-term resilience and self-sufficiency of the Government of St Maarten in the field of crisis management. In this video, all 10 Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) and the National Disaster Coordinator actively participate in a disaster and crisis management exercise. The scenario requires that the ESFs identify key indicators for their respective teams, determine the magnitude of the crisis, and establish protocols for ongoing monitoring of developments.
