Just go to "General" and then "Rating" to choose minimum required stars and include a column that shows their rating and work down the list from highest rating to lowest.

I’m unable to do this on the console version unfortunately. When I look on the staff search, it won’t let me highlight the key attributes for the type of staff i’m looking for.
I haven't played the console version so I'm not sure what is in that and what isn't but it's a shame they haven't useful things! Hopefully there is a workaround.

It doesn’t allow me to press the highlight key attributes for role button any reason why?
I just let the Tech Director do it.
The beauty of FM is if you don't want to do a task then you can let your staff do it.
You can play the game as detailed or as minimal as you'd like.

I just hire the best technical director I can and let HIM hire my staff. In 2 seasons i have the best coaches in the league
That is a good way of doing it for sure. The beauty of FM is you can either micro manage everything or just do the things you enjoy!
