This was a very good idéa - So good, I have desided to build one myself. I have strugled a bit to collect parts, but most is now in box. I planned to use a pair of pnaumatic solenoids for vacuum, and let in air at drop. I have 3D printed some parts that was hard to find - I am looking forward to get all the parts so I can start. Thank you very much for posting this video.
thank you very much this is a greatest idea for manual component placement. I've seen your other projects and I'm impressed by all of them. I'm starting to look/buy parts for the project right now
Hi. Thank you for the video. I you have inspired me and I have made my own device based on your design. I have been experimenting with it and it is a lot easier than free hand with tweezers. The only problem that I have had is when I go to retract the needle it always knocks the component. Then I looked at your video again and found that you had a spring return. I am off to the hardware store tomorrow to find a spring to upgrade my device. I think that this will be critical. Thanks.
Since this video was produced 9 years ago, not sure if anyone will answer my Qs, but here goes: 1 - how hard is it to change "air suction heads"? 2 - When you release the suction to the to head, does your component drop quickly, and does air ever escape so quickly a gush of air pushes around those 0402 capacitors for instance? 3 - Can most people operate this machine or does it take super human, exceptionally steady hands?
Thanks for your questions ! (1) It's very easy, the heads are just removable plastic bits (2) This was tricky indeed ; I made a tiny hole on the pen, so air can enter when suction is released, and the small components can drop nicely. Otherwise 0402 are stuck for a couple of seconds after suction release. (3) I think that tweezers need superhuman hands. This is ten times easier, at least for me.
aditya,,,,u and me from poor countries,,,,so thats y its good to search for price,,,,I can build one automatic one but for it atleast some money is required,,,he he he,,,,,
Fantastic work. I am without doubt going to build one for myself. Maybe you could turn this into an automated machine. It seems that it might be possible.
+KaspersMC It looks like a $5 one I also own from Amazon or eBay. I think they say it's 5mp and has LED lights in the end of it. Perfect idea for its practical use, I think I need to build one now.
Not really. Most of the problem while doing a large build is constant rotating of many parts. With tweezers it is kind of a pain, with this you can adjust angle easy. Plus you have this macro camera, so less inspections are needed.

I am currently hand soldering 603s. This is a much nicer way to go. Thanks for posting, nice project !

Hello! Please tell me which camera software are you using?
Absolutely excellent! Really didn't think about something like this but I love the creative thinking.
thank you very much this is a greatest idea for manual component placement. I've seen your other projects and I'm impressed by all of them. I'm starting to look/buy parts for the project right now
Where do you get the attachments for the nozzle? How do you flow the solder after everything is placed?

I can't wait to see your video as well !!!
vpapanik I used to have a white bunny just like yours. She was really sweet.
Where can buy?

Excellent idea! Very simple, adaptable, and useful.
Building one as a christmas present, great job! Respect!
Thanks much for this awesome creation. Is it for sale? Also, could you tell us which needles to use for picking the 0402 components? Thanks much!
if I want to buy one where I would get ? and how much will it cost .

Great idea. Started watching and thought "There is no way that thing can do 402 components" I was happy to be wrong. I just may have to build one.
Where to buy these parts? Are they available on eBay or Amazon?
i want one. tell me how
Why are the pads so large for the small components?
Awesome my new friend. Very well done. I SHALL be building one. Thank you. Have an amazing day.
where these equipment s are available in Delhi?

Hey i like your Video + Music & your Work :)
what camera do you use and/or what camera can you recommend ? :)
It is a Sony HD camera, bought a few years ago. The newer models would do the jub even better.
vpapanik
what about the Microscope camera :) i am looking for one but i not sure what i shall buy :) thanks

Hi i got to know about this machine i actully want this machine can you please help me out i can even buy this machine
problem is, its still limited to how steady/fast your hand is, so you may as well use tweezers

sure, check the blog shown in the video
nice work men with excellence
price????
Nice! Something else to add to my DIY list.
Nice work!
нормально...
лучше сделать большое колесо сверху ручки пипетки, для поворотов более точных
Excellent !
Excelente forma de colocar componentes SMD
good job bro but
friend does not weld together
Super coooooool !
I wish someone would offer a machine like this for sale
I use tweezers just fine with 603's.
very good
με το χέρι πιθανόν να ήταν πιο γρήγορο. Ωστόσο η κάμερα σίγουρα βοηθάει πολύ
Nicely built, but pretty much overkill...
easy right,..
very wonderfullll
👍👍👍👍
GREAT!

thank for the vdo.
Bravo :)
Why not automate it? :D
Price
Some stepper motors, belts and a microcontroller, can't be that expensive.
xFuaZe yes, probably 300€.
+wolfgangouille 50 $

Большое спасибо за видео! ;)
+SkyIIWaLkeR 0402 нормально пинцетом паяются, не сложнее чем 0603 :)
