  • The outermost trail from the summit of Mt. Isola, Heavenly View is characterized by flat, moderately-steep terrain great for fast runs down the mountainside. Named for its beautiful panorama, on sunny days this trail looks over the entire area around Lake Toya and Shikotsu Toya National Park. This vista can extend as far as Hokkaido Koma-ga-take.

Beautiful day, I skied once in Rusutsu...2016.....it might get foggy sometimes, but not as frequent as Niseko. I loved their lengthy runs...seemed like endless by Japan standard. I am planning on going to Furano next season 2023, after watching your Furano videos. Cheers🎉.

Wow 😮.. I have seen this trail from many video clips but this is the best one with useful info in the intro and loved how you show the whole run from top to bottom and the good recommendation at the end. Thanks so much !

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking, this would be for towards the end of the day when I’m done with the fast carving on Heavenly Ridge A and I want some good pano shots and some medium speed carving. Did they allow you with the backpack on your back in the lift? Or did you have to take it off before getting on? I like your introductions with the trail marked on the map and details about incline and distance/length. Very helpful. Thanks for the video

Thanks for the kind comments ! Yes we were allowed to have our backpacks on our backs in the chairlift. Ours are ski specific ones with no dangling straps so no problems at all. I find that the Japanese resorts have no issues with backpacks and quite a few skiers / snowboarders have their backpacks on when riding the chairlift. Oh, by the way, most of their chairlifts have a hood to keep the cold/wind 🥶 out. If my memory serves me right, the only resort that we are not allowed to have the backpack on so far is Falls Creek (we use Wolffepack at this resort)

@@snowtasticday thanks for confirming. Hotham have no backpack on policy and signs at every lift, Falls have some lifts where you need to take off one strap, other lifts have to take them off completely. I’ve got the GoPro backpack, no straps dangling either. Good to know. Thanks again.
