Here's the thing with age of conset in states:
The age of conset in that state is irrelevant if you're not a resident and/or traveling through (such as a tour).
This means you now fall under the federal age of conset, which is 18, making that illegal regardless of Colorado being 17.

The legal age doesn’t qualify to a person not living within the state. 18 the federal age and the ages come with stipulations, for example in Toronto the person can’t be in a position of power, they can’t be someone who the person would depend on financially etc so the younger age doesn’t apply to him. He also can’t transport those women over state lines it’s now human trafficking. So although no one has come forward yet, plus I’m sure these’re payoffs ndas etc people justifying stuff aren’t even really even looking at the grooming. Even all these people speaking out simultaneously is weird.

It depends on the state. Some states may not prosecute a case like this.tbh the Law has never been consistent. I believe the name of the law is called Romeo and Juliette. This was a law mad to fix the issue of parents of girls putting cases on boyfriends because originally the law was strictly 18 and even if you are both in the same grade but you happen to turn 18 before your partner. Tbey could legally charge you for statutory rape.
Not every state used this same version of the law tho. So that's where you have some states that lowered the age of consent to 16 or 17. It's still not perfect tho because not all state make it clear on if the age of consent means 16 is legal for anyone or if there is a age range usually 3 to 4 years befoe it becomes a crime for the older person.
Some states have lost cases because of this issue. My biggest problem is that too many people bring this up to defend old ass men fucking with minors. Most don't know the law anyway and especially in my state of Oklahoma. If you are not in high school. Your ass is going to jail
