Sorry I didn’t record that part, but If you watch the video, you will notice that there were 2 different pieces where i drew the cascading lines, they are for either sides of the slit. So you will join the back and the only opening will be where the slit is. You will join it to the hem of the main dress ( I used 1 inch hemming allowance). I hope this explanation helps you

you lost me after you put the 12-quarter-pieces on a 180°-T and wrote "38" underneath it... where came these 38 from? Ah... later in the video I found out: its the lenght of the satin scirt :)

You can buy red crinoline, the only issue is that the colored crinoline is more expensive. Alternatively you can use white crinoline.
