    If you demold in a sink filled with soapy water, you will be able to unmold without damaging your molds. 😊

      Hello! Thank you maybe I can try this method in the future and try not to damage my moulds!

    Cake decorating shops make icing tips with tiny holes, and bottles you can use to squeeze the icing out in a tiny bead. PME makes ones that are slightly longer and narrower, making it easier to get into tight spaces. You can also purchase syringe style glue applicators with even tinier blunt needle applicators. It's amazing how much easier it is to get into nooks and crannies with the right tool. Also, you might want to consider pouring or painting it over the mold before you turn it inside out. That might trap it in the cracks.

      Hello There! That is a very good idea to use cake making accessories. I had not thought of that. Next time I have a challenge where I need to get into a very tiny space, I might buy some of the items you mentioned and give them a try. Thanks for the tips!

      @poffcreations Enjoy! Just so you know, it is often easier and less expensive to buy them online than in a store. If you pick up squeeze bottles, make sure to get ones designed to be the correct size for icing tips. :)

      Hey Debbie! Dedication patience, blood, sweat and tears were all put into this one. I loved the intense chameleon powders so much that I just had to do as good a job on the set as possible. It paid off and used a lot of powder but, was so worth it for the outcome!

      Hello Rachel! This was such a fun thing to do with the intense chameleon powders and even though they were a bit of a challenge on the pieces, I am so glad that I had the patience to follow through and keep re-casting until I got them right!

    Absolutely stunning chess set!! You have the patience of a saint! 😂
    I wonder if PU resin would work better than epoxy (with your pieces), seeing as it is so thin?? I’m only going by what I’ve seen on other videos… I’ve never used PU resin myself!
    Love, Nat. (Brisbane, Australia) ♥️♥️🇦🇺

    • @poffcreations
      @poffcreations  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello there! That is a good question as I have never used PU resin either. Maybe, one day I should buy some and do some experimenting with it. The most annoying aspect of redoing some of the chess pieces was that even if the piece was perfectly formed, the top would come off. This is very common with the Bishop and some of the Pawns. The little pieces just get left behind in the mould because you have to be aggressive when taking them out. Even if you use silicone mould release spray. I did get there in the end, and it did test my patience a bit but, I was determined to get a full perfect set😂😂

    Your work always turns out beautiful! I love how committed you are to your craft and bringing it all to perfection. I was called a fussy butt not too long ago and I would like to share that title with you. All in fun of course. Thank you for sharing and take good care.

    • @poffcreations
      @poffcreations  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello Billie! Thanks for the lovely comments. My philosophy has always been 'to do things to the best of my ability'. So, yes, I consider myself to be a fellow Fussy Butt. I would consider that to be a huge compliment and I admit that it is a perfect title because I am a bit of a perfectionist! If I make something and it is not to my standards then it will always annoy me and it is too distracting to keep worrying about imperfections but I will, if possible re-do the item and be satisfied. Keep up your high standards!!

    OH WOW when you poured that back layer i am thinking wait what about the centre. It wil turn out all black etc. Then when you turned it around and those gold flecks etc. Just Brilliant !!!! That board is just stunning !!!.. It is such a pity about those pawns and the bishop. I just love your patience with this one

      I wanted the middle part to be different but still fit in with the whole design and this worked beautifully! The pieces were challenging because of the powder issue but I was so determined to get complete sets. Glad I put in the extra effort because this turned out exactly as I wanted it to. Thanks for watching and so glad you enjoyed it🥰

      Hello! Yes, a lot of work but determination set in and I was going to make perfect pieces no matter what. This set has already been sold to a friend who had seen it on display in my house and really wanted it for her brother who has just discovered playing chess. I hope he really loves it.

    Gorgeous chess set. It’s a shame the pieces didn’t work straight away. Although now you have lots of spare pieces, just incase. Thank you. X❤

      @poffcreations  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello Lesley! This turned out (eventually) to be everything I hoped it would be. Love the intense chameleon colours and the way the blue shifts into purple. It's like magic! I did keep some of the pieces that were not too bad but, I tend not to keep things that are not close to perfect as I would run out of space with all the experiments I do. Sometimes I will keep a project that did not quite come up to standard just as a learning tool and to remind me of what NOT to do!

    Try spritzing a little alcohol in the mold before you pour your resin.

    • @poffcreations
      @poffcreations  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! Because I was using mica powder, I could not spritz the inside of the moulds. I usually do this if it is just straight, coloured resin.
