In fairness, it's a great review that shows you need more then 6 tons, it's a perfectly good press, just wont do a bearing. More over, I now know not to buy the 6T and to go a bit bigger :) 10/10 review, even if the product didn't get 10/10
I couldn't see clearly but when using any press you need to make sure that there is clearance for the bearing to move down through the bottom plate. It looked to me that with the 6 ton it was sat on the two plates and when you used the 20 ton it wasn't, if you look at the plates I think you were trying to push the bearing out and it was hitting the plates. Also using a blow torch to heat a big casting sat on a thick steel plate will take forever. Good review and as always bigger is better
Had this sort of issue breaking the stub axles out of my Ford Focus donor car. Had to let an "expert" loose and they gave up in the end - using a press meant for pushing bearings out of hubs, for buses... everything they have is hugely oversized and overrated but even they couldn't shift it. The problem isn't really a failing of the press so much as the sheer grip of interference fit and corrosion on the hub itself. We did get the axles out eventually but it took stupid levels of load and some percussion on the axle to shock the metals apart

Thanks. I do my best 😬

The bearing had room to move down on all parts of video.

WOW! I guess over time the rust sort of welds the parts together. But it shows the hubs must be strong to take that force without bending or breaking.
Put some safety glasses on Sean !!!!!
