iamnotanumber iamnotanumber that's fucking awesome i did not get the chance to see bolt thrower but i am seeing Memoriam in a few weeks so that's fucking awesome
iamnotanumber iamnotanumber My first international gig was Motorhead.. I was 15 and it was 84 I think. I'd left home at 14. Lived with NZs biggest Motorhead fan. Sadly I spent the night carrying him around and he doesn't remember any of it 😦 Was very easy down here to go to gigs/pubs very young back then. Before everything good was gentrified. Great to see the original lineup 😊
It wasn’t my first concert but by far one of the best...even in this small place called G. Willikers in NJ for the Warmaster tour. I even got to meet them. They were really cool
@@joshuagarcia8547Some dwarfs made it in a bet with Loki that they could make some cooler stuff than what Loki was going to present the God's. Seeing that they were making some cooler stuff he shape shifted into a fly and got in their eyes as they were making it. So they called it up a bit and it ended up with a cruddy short handle. Dwarfs then sold this bug as a feature saying it was now a concealed piece.
There's plenty to like, and it only gets better from here. Personal highlights are: Black Metal ASMR, Metalheads Watch Monster Dog, and Metalhead/Malmhaus Review!
As a Brit who had the pleasure of seeing and meeting the band several times, I can say they were criminally underrated, and their back catalogue stands the test of time. They forged a unique and crushing sound and always delivered live. Respect to them for not releasing anything they considered sub par. One of the greatest British death metal bands. BTW, the cover of for victory is a photo of British soldiers in the Falklands during the Falklands war. Keep up the good metal content. All the best from blighty.
Do this for Death once you get all their stuff on vinyl. I have all of their albums except for individual thought patterns. Relapse needs to reissue it NOW
This video got me into bolt thrower and subsequently warhammer. I'd always known of bolt thrower but I never knew where to start. This gave me that starting point.
I'm 50 years old been a metalhead for 40 years never heard of both throw her till recently they completely blow away every band I ever listened to before don't know how I never heard of them.
Bolt Thrower is my all time favorite death metal band! thanks for this video! i've really enjoyed this. "In this kingdom of the mindless, we are born to suffer!!!"
I started listening to Bolt Thrower since the early 90's. I finally saw them live in 2013. What an amazing band. I put 20 minutes of footage up on my channel. It was a great show. I want to see Memoriam now. Great video. Take care, Sam.
I have just found your channel yesterday and I really enjoy it! It's great! Very creative, interesting, funny and original! And you seem like a totally awesome guy! Keep it up. \m/
Dude killbot i cant tell you how much this means to me i only knew the killchain and you made me go through and dig deeper into bolt thrower and now they are one of my new favorite bands! Thanks
I just discovered Bolt Thrower. I knew of them but never gave them a listen until recently. And I have to say I agree with everything you said in this video.
HA HA HA HA HA! At first I was like, “YAY! Killbot&Gor Gor Attack is back!” and then I saw, “Even my CAT likes Bolt Thrower!” I am now in stitches. Nice to see the lady bass player expressed straight-forward as an integral part of the music’s creation. (Rather than, “OMG! It’s a chik!”) Of course the artwork is a big highlight, a warm place of both nostalgia and current life continuing in that same vein. Also reminds me of hanging out with a friend and we did this detailed compare, contrast and discussion over Metal band logos and their artistic design. (I might even have a tape of that somewhere.) Dang! That’s some wild camouflage you got there! Nice hat! Fascinating on the artwork copyright elements. (And during that you play a style of music I often listen to as well, what was that?) All the portions of how Bolt Thrower grew and created their albums throughout the years were totally fascinating even though I’ve not heard them before to my knowledge. What you showed with “Mercenary” definitely leant towards what I would enjoy, though! Sounds like with albums they go in themes. It was wild looking through the gaming stuff because the artwork was definitely taking me back to my D&D days. HA HA HA HA! Love the Battleship component in this hunt down. Absolutely adorable ending. Good to see ya having a blast!
my old art teacher passed away three years ago, would've so much fun with your review :D had over thousands of CD's..and Bolt Thrower was his treasure. I remember times we listened to bolt thrower on his hifi system in school. haha, so much fun and even more memories! I really admire your effort you put into the vid. Bands like Bolt Thrower are a great memorial for him, a teacher and most of all: a friend for me. a big thank you!
As mainly a listener of punk rock, Bolt Thrower are definitely one Death Metal band I get into!! When in comes to extreme metal I'm more of a Black Metal fan!!! Cheers man, nice video!!
We fell brutally in love with Bolt Thrower when we got bootleg albums here in the Philippines way back in 1995, we even covered For Victory as our tribute to BT by my death metal band PUNEBRE. There will never be another BOLT THROWER, we will remember them!!! 🌩🤘⚡⚡⚡✊
I came back to this video just to tell you: thank you for getting me into Bolt Thrower!! I've been blasting their albums for 2 weeks, love them! Btw, I hope you make a new video soon, I've been watching your stuff lately!
It all falls under Fair Use. I use the bands music to make points, comparisons, and I talk about the music while it's playing. Even the cat snippet is fair use ONLY because i mention "Bolt Thrower is so good even my cat likes it!" and I demonstrate it. Also, the song at the end is a cover, so it's okay that I played that as much as I did without speaking it's reference to what's going on.
Killbot&GorGorAttack!! Ever heard of Spastic Ink (insane band) and a musician called Ron Jarzombek (associated with bands like Spastic Ink, Watchtower, Blotted Science, Spiral Architect)?
Started listening to them in 1991 and finally saw them live in 2008. Their music has a certain atmosphere that really comes into its own live. Stagedived a bunch of times and met the whole band after the show, what a night ... was so lucky to see them and talk to them in person, will never forget it, long live Bolt Thrower.
Here I am listening and admiring your input. You asked me to come and view this awesome production loaded with the real thing. Never get me wrong. We all start at something which is better than nothing. All of your productions are really good I see them as the real metal music roadmap for all interested in it. Thank you for funny moments .
That pesky tank was stubbornly surviving until you whipped out the for victory Bolt Thrower anti-tank vibrations! good thinking! Congratulations for your victory!
IVth was my 1st so to speak. And to me is the ultimate, quintessential Bolt Thrower album and sound. But I love them all. I maintain that Embers is the best realization of the ‘endless battle’ motif they returned to (World Eater, Cenotaph, etc) on most of their albums.
This was educational. Didn't really understand how copyrights work at first. Plus the bestest Bolt Thrower album I've listened to so far (thanks to my dad) is the War Master album. I like how we can easily recognize their unique sound when you hear 'em playing. I like the heavy riffs and the groovy parts :)
BOLT THROWER RULEZ !!!!!!!!!!! they are a great band have liked them for along time metal rulez!!!!!! bang your head metal kat this is a great review keep up the good work
Now that's how you review a band! "The 4th Crusade" is probably my fav with "...For Victory" following closely behind. The 4th Crusade is the only death/doom metal cd I have left from the 90's unfortunately but my parents bought it for me so it's quite nostalgic. I'm diggin' the framed Cannibal Corpse set list you have on your wall.
My 1st gig (as a wide eyed 15 year old ) was bolt thrower back in 91, what a great band, superb video 🤘
Dude, that must've been unbelievable!
I still have the ticket stub from that night. Thanks again for this video, great memories of a great band.

I only recently started listening to Bolt Thrower and holy shit they're easily one of (if not) the best death metal band ever!
"Odin's mighty hammer!"
I think Thor would like a word with you on Norse mythology.
Yea i heard that aswell but i thought i would have gotten slammed by his hardcore fans if i said anything.
I didn't even catch that lol
His name is Tor, Thor is a cartoon character
Odin made the hammer for tor

The one and only Dave Ingram!!! :D

Killbot&GorGorAttack!! Or Death?
Oh wait he said Death lol
Killbot&GorGorAttack!! Plsssssss killbot and editing on this album is fucking great
Do with Black Dhalia Murder
Man, Mercenary is so underrated. Easily one of their top 3 albums.

Exactly
Suffocation,Bolt Thrower and Entombed are easily the best old school death metal bands out there
Carcass
Death
Obituary
death
Atheist
Mercenary is one of the highlights of BT discography and one of the strongest death metal albums ever.
This is awesome! Love the work and passion you put in to this video! One of my top metal bands of all time no doubt.

I'll do it once that's finally reissued
Holy shit I thought, that was my comment...
I have good news for you guys
That cat looked a little concerned. "HUMAN, PLEASE DESIST, I CAN FEEL MY BREAKFAST FLYING INTO MY THROAT."
This got me more pumped about the band more than the first time listening to it!

George Gerschwin's "Chinese Blues," got it from this public domain ragtime collection containing stuff from the late 1800s/early 1900s :)
Groovy. I'd take a link to that one, or a link to buy the CD of it. Thank ye, sir!
this is probably the best video you ever made so far
Great!! Fantastic hommage to the legacy of the mighty BT. Saw them live in Holland for the last time in 2012.. RIP BT..
Mate that was the most entertaining review of a bands work ive ever watched.... Awesome \m/

Yes that was their masterpiece, artistically speaking.
