Low-key I felt like he was the one who ran the Sallieri gang.. the Don proved to be hot headed and quick to anger.. so I think Frank was running it on the low.
@@firstlast9846Yeah the relationship between Frank Colletti and Don Salieri in Mafia 1 echoes the relationship between Leo Galante and Don Frank Vinci in Mafia 2
I'm genuinely impressed that a modern video game has such a healthy message for young guys in this day and age. I know it's based on the original Mafia 1 but the delivery is much more impactful in this version. Hopefully the advice won't fall on deaf ears.
It's dramatic but Frank is such a nothing character in the definitive edition. The new Omerta mission is completely bland and without consequence because there is zero connection with the characters.
Its the advice and the father/grand figure I saw in him I never heard that “bitch in heat” but I see it to often and respect the message yeah he was serious but he must of known he was gonna leave leave the mob one way or another
Frank's speech applies to everyone. Especially in the days of social media. Also, as the late DMX once said in one of his songs, if you flashing it then you must not want it.
Frank started being paranoid of Salieri and his enemies, and the mob life was driving a wedge between him and his family. And Morello threatening his wife and daughter was the final straw. He was ready to either escape with his family or die for them. But even when he tried to sell the family out, he still showed that he only had a soft spot for Tommy because he knew that even though Tommy was a natural at the Mafia life, he didn't belong in it because he had a good heart. ( "I'm just sorry it had to be you" )
@@TheProtagonist37 he had faith in him though in sparing him or killing him. The bank teller told him that Frankie was expecting him to pick up the books.
Frank didnt deserve to die like that man him and salieri had history and that he was tired of lying to his wife or working with his friend him and tommy were good friends.
Because Tommy was starting to get flashy with his money he was starting to show signs that he might become a problem to salieri by drawing attention, which Frank does not want because he sees the potential in him. He's essentially scaring Tommy straight with a story from him and salieri's past. The part where he mentions breaking salieri's nose is also a sign of the his relationship with salieri starting to struggle. Like Frank said, Tommy is like the prize dog and all it takes is one loss to make salieri try to put him down, the detail Frank breaking salieri's nose to save the dog could be foreshadowing to Frank betraying Salieri and giving Tommy a way to get back in good graces( which he messes that up)
Might sound odd but it can be compared to so many rappers that flashed their money and jewerly on the insta stories and ended up killed in robberies gone wrong, they didn´t have a Frank in their life.

the definitive edition has way better acting than the original, the original voices sounded like the actors read the script for the first time.
Facts tho
@Kernelcz The Don honestly is better in the Remake English Dub.
I think Paulie was better in the original though
The English version definitely got better but unfortunately there's no Italian version. In the original was legendary.
Voice acting in video games was bad in the early 2000s in general

Powerful speech 🤔💯
It’s a very beautiful scene. Use it as a metaphor for life.
I love it when the game teaches you about life rather than just entertainment.
