You joke about the fountain pens and inks, but I totally have a pen and some ink samples coming in the mail today so I thoroughly enjoy the pen content 😆. I hope your spoons are replenished soon~
I appreciate your honesty about the insomnia. I also work in healthcare and the days when I sleep badly can mess up my energy for crafting for a week at a time. Even when I know crafting will make me feel better, sometimes I just don't have the energy to do it.
How things have changed. I grew up in Barbados where my mom was a seamstress and I have never seen her prewash any fabric. I was sewing from a child and coming to America I continued off and on throughout the years and I have never prewashed anything either. I don’t like ironing so could never imagine doing that. And I have never had a garment shrunk. 😂
My fabric shrinks across the grain after washing 90% of the time after preaching which is why I don't skip it but I think that is because I work with only natural fibers and cotton and linen love to shrink in the drying. I don't iron my fabric before cutting though, we live truly chaotic lives over here, just a quick press after I'm finished sewing.

Oh boy, do I feel your pain with the spoon situation- I’ve spent today and yesterday not able to walk because I borrowed too many… I was at probably -943! Neurological conditions and anxiety plus being a big ‘ole introvert really make some days challenging! I hope you’re feeling a bit more back to baseline and were able to get some sleep ❤ Oh, and did you score the Romney fleece from Hawaii through Eweful? Lucky duck if so!!
I actually got it straight from the shepherd! I follow a lot of shepherds on instagram so when shearing season comes around, I can see what's coming up and reserve what brings me joy that season.

I get it. I love working in a hospital, I really do, but it’s not very accommodating to low spoon days at all. 😔 borrowing spoons is the worst. I hit my crash last week from the spoon debt I built up the last month of the semester and I don’t think I’ll be fully recovered in time for January. I’m wishing you all the spoons and restorative rest ❤❤

Why would someone want bubble gum scented ink?!? I have a personal vendetta against anything bubble gum flavored or scented.
