Love this video, definitely picking up more Rachel Cusk this year! I really recommend 'I Who Have Never Known Men' by Jacqueline Harpman, I flew through it in the first couple days of this year. It's barely plot driven despite the grim circumstances but it's a powerful allegory about community, humanity and curiosity - a little different to the books you're discussing here but I like most of these authors so hopefully Harpman works for you too!

Yess living for the book content. I do book content on my channel but I want to get into more non-fiction/ feminist or self evolving literature 💗 so this came in perfect and can’t wait to see on your book journey. ❤

Background for love sounds so good. Definitely will have to read that. Love Annie Ernaux too and I’m an Aug 29 Virgo! Maybe there’s something to it :)

I’m determined to get my reading goals complete this year, love the recommendations 🩵
side note: I was 15 when I told my family I didn’t want to have kids and since then I have heard every reason as to why I should, regrets I’d have etc etc but I am still child free and my teens are well and truly behind me. We know our minds, bodies and hearts - being a woman is not linked solely to carrying a child. We are more than that and you have already accomplished so much and inspired other women without doing so through motherhood. I hope 2025 is the year for all women like us who don’t want kids or to get married, that we feel safe enough to voice it x

We have very similar taste in books! Alongside Bluets I'd recommend Arrangements in Blue by Amy Key, inspired by Joni Mitchell's album, Blue. As a fellow child-free, I think the main themes of a life lived for oneself will really resonate.
