Hi Ashton! I’m a fellow nonbinary trans guy, and I had a complication for my top surgery too. We’re both in that super low percentile. I had my surgery this last Monday, and after getting home and existing painlessly for a few hours, the right side of my chest ballooned and swelled up because of an uncauterized blood vessel. I had to go back to the hospital and back into surgery the same day, which sucked, but thankfully I had watched so many videos and read so much about top surgery that I was prepared to handle it. I’m three days post-op now, only taking Tylenol and I’m feeling great! Thank you so much for putting so much information out there for people like me.

Basically whenever a company says they don't discriminate on age, they mean they don't discriminate on old age. I'm fifteen and looking for a job (which i can get legally) but every company is like "We don't discriminate on age! But you need to be eighteen." which I get for places like Starbucks for liability or whatever, but for like, Acme? WHY??

Typically people under 18 are only allowed to work very limited hours and will often be forced to quit if their school grades drop. If I was an employer, I personally would not want to hire someone under 18 either. Too much trouble when you could just hire a legal adult.

It's been so cool watching you go through your transition, and every time I see you post, I'm awed by the passion and integrity with which you approach your life. I am 100% serious when I say that seeing you live your best life as a nonbinary trans man has made me more sure in expressing my own gender however I want; I often think of you and the various looks you've rocked when I do things like put together an outfit with a skirt or do my makeup. I think you're really incredible, and I'm so happy you've continued to create content and videos. Both they and you are a true joy.

Yo Ashton. I feel ya when you talk about how having one nipple is a fun fact. Never underestimate how fun it is to have such a cool fact. I was born with a medical anomaly that lead to me being born with a tail. And idk about you but i find that low key awesome as fuck. For health reasons i had it removed as a infant but i have a badass scar for proof. Also being born with more then 2 nipples is surprisingly common.

Loved this video💓 I relate to what you said about how looking back you saw some things from your childhood as trans experiences/signs but also like you at the time I wasn’t really in the mindset of ‘I’m this and I’m trans’ because literally didn’t know what nonbinary was until I was 16 so it wasn’t on my mind until later in my teen years but yeah looking back I did have weird feelings/experiences around being gendered as my agab which again was like ‘oh yeah that makes sense now’
Oh my god Ashton, you just saved my dysphoria right now. I'm sitting here tearing up because due to SHARK WEEK I'm emotional asf and now I finally know there's something called hysterectomy than can remove my uterus? And take away this pain and not get me pregnant anymore? That's the best thing I've heard all day and something I've searched for all my life. Yes, I know there are other methods of making someone with a vagina infertile, but those are only and usually temporary and not permanent. Thank you!

Charley Hagström yeah a hysterectomy is the only way to get rid of shark week. But it’s really hard to get one because doctors don’t respect people’s wishes

Personally, my main dysphoria is with my physical "feminine" traits and with my bottom dysphoria. I personally don't mind my chest (Probably because I felt so insecure about having a small one due to bullying at a young age, so I'm to connected it to let it go at this point) but I am extremely uncomfortable with my bottom dysphoria. DESPITE that though, I have no intentions of getting bottom surgery. I know that science hasn't gotten this far, and I feel that bottom growth would at least relieve some of it for me. At least then I feel it would be more cope-able.
On another note though, I've noticed that a lot of trans dudes have more top dysphoria than bottom dysphoria! Most of my trans man friends have no or very little bottom dysphoria, but very much top dysphoria. Before I talked to them about it, I didn't realize how common that was in trans dudes. To anyone reading this -- Why do you think that is? 🤔
I am not a fully binary trans guy but I am transmasculine/nonbinary/demiboy. I personally have MUCH more top dysphoria than bottom dysphoria. I'm not sure whether periods count as bottom dysphoria but I am also super dysphoric with that. I really don't know why it is that being more top dysphoric is more common but that is a great question! I don't really give a crap about my lower stuff I'm like meh I don't think I would care whether I had female or male organs down there, but that may also just be because I am nonbinary. For my chest however, I'm like: why the fuck are these here?!!!! I can see them easily and I can feel them easily and they just seem more obvious than my bottom. That's really interesting though now I'm curious 😂

Beighton test is what ur reffering to and 9/9 is clinically classed as a Heds criteria
Oh rad video! Also the 9/9 hypermobility thing is called the Beighton score, and if you indeed turn out to have EDS you would be one of like,,, a dozen people I know who are trans, autistic and have EDS, myself included. It’s an interesting trifecta.

In regards to hysterectomy, I recently learned that there’s a increased risk of early onset dementia, so just something to look into
I just looked into it and it mainly looks to be caused by the lack of estrogen after a hysterectomy as you no longer produce a sex hormone, if Ashton stays on testosterone it wouldn't increase his risk
Gabriel Ryan I’m glad you researched on his behalf 😉 I just thought since it’s on his own medical slate that he should look into it for himself and discuss complications w/ his physicians. I recently spoke w/ a coworker about her conflict with requesting hysterectomy and the risks, and then at some point saw a youtuber speak on the risks they didn’t know existed when they had their own hysterectomy, and now that they know it terrifies them.
this vid is old so probably no one will see this comment but is it weird that i think my sexuality will probably change once i medically transition? i’m afab non-binary and have never felt attracted to men, just to women and non-binary people. for some reason, i suspect that i will feel bisexual (as in, attracted to men too) once i medically transition. i don’t really know why, it’s just like a hunch. i’m not good at explaining this...
It could be that you are attracted to men in some way, but wouldn't feel comfortable pursuing a relationship with one until you're further along in your transition!!
ok, I'm really sorry If this sounds offensive but what is a nb-man/woman? I've been hearing it around a lot but I have no idea what it's supposed to mean. does it just mean your on the more masculine/feminine side of nb, or is it kinda like being bigender? again sorry if this sounds offensive I really don't mean it that way.

Being 'enby' or non-binary and also a man or woman can mean many different things for many different people, but it basically means that you identify as both non-binary and as a man or woman.
For me personally, I'm a trans man, therefore I'm a man, but I don't identify solely as a man, so I'm identify as a non-binary man!!
I am kinda likr you. I didn't realize I was trans until puberty but there were some signs before that I just didn't realize because I was a stupid little kind who just wanted to be a superhero and thought that I was part wolf.
