Hi Simon, lovely to see you as always your sandwich, sides & cake looked an absolute delight coffee & and walnut cake is one of my favourites!! Thank you for sharing, take care chin, chin 💜
Hey Simon! We’re a family from the Netherlands, and we found your channel while looking for tips for our trip to Whitby. We’ve already checked out Whitby Deli and Mr Cooper’s since arriving on Friday for a short week - both were awesome! We just saw your video pop-up and rushed out to find one of your wristbands. Thanks so much for the fun tips and helping us explore the town! Cheers, Mitch
Excellent as always Simon. Blimey Skinner Street has certainly changed over past 10 years. See Ditto's has sadly gone. Skinner street was always my favourite part of Whitby, what a fabulous hidden gem ❤
@simplywhitby5356 glad to hear. Looked at site on Facebook and nothing relevant. Website very vague too. See they only open for a few days per week 6-8pm. Glad they are still there.
Nice one, great Vlog, what a great little find, must mark it on the map for when we’re there next. Last time we were in Whitby we found a cracking little place called Lush coffee, great little place, have you tried it
Hiya Trisha, Thanks for shout-out to me and Rita, she found it so emotional she actually cried, (not kidding). Thanks again you are the best on utube. Love you both. ♥️😁♥️
Hiya Sir Simon, a smashing video. What a beautiful setting. A fine use for the locals & tourists, to grab a bite for the body and peaceful rest for the brain ❤❤❤ Simon, you made note of the many Christian named buildings and companies. Brilliant repurrposing of relegious houses. Sadly, I watch in dread for the first complaint about being racist, by someone being upset or offended. 😢😢Ah such is life. On a much brighter note, plain white bread sandwich. YES🍞😍🤗 Looked a proper old-fashioned sarnie. Egg mayo, bit'o'salad & a few crisps. Magic. Not forgetting the coffee. Hellos from strangers always make me smile. Salad Cream 😊❤oh my childhood. And for just over a fiver👍😋My late sister would have been all over that cake (her favourite) Well off to seek my tea. Tally ho 🐕🦺🐴🦊Allan&Family
Ah The Dispensary. I love that shop. Honestly the best honey I have ever tasted. Got to love genuine local produce. Nice fresh veg too. So many churches so you can hide from Dracula!
Hi Simon. You sometimes say if the places you eat are dog friendly but not always. As someone who always has a dog by my side please will you tell us this important information. I always watch your videos and often come over to Whitby. It would be fabulous to know which of the amazing eateries accept our furry friends. Thanks for sharing. Love your videos. 😊
hi simon coming over tomorrow for a few days, passing that church about 18 months a go one thursday night and heard a swing band rehearsing in the church , went in for a quick look they sounded top banana
Hi Simon, What a great way to promote the local cafe, should be open more often, food looked great. Good on you too for putting money back into the local community 😊. Hope you get the cottage sorted soon. Are you leaving Batley behind and selling up? If so, what about Barkat 😮. Take care and enjoy. Paul and Joanne 👍 😍
Looks lovely in the church cafe we are coming over to Whitby tomorrow and was looking at your vlog at the Royal hotel from last year so booked in there for a night. Might see you around Whitby 😏 All the best Paul & Elaine in Bridlington 😊
Hey Simon That place is a real hidden gem. Churches should be open for more than prayers. That food and drink is quality for the price £5.50 ,that's cheap as chips. A coffee and a cake would cost much more than that in town. Thanks for my friend Chin,Chin🫡
I had planned to visit Whitby on a day trip when I get back over to the UK, hopefully next Summer, but it seems I might have to stay a few days. Even though I am new to the channel and have only seen a few of your videos it appears that there is a lot to see and do and so many places to eat.
Simon takes a bite of an egg mayonnaise sandwich…….. checks that his fingers haven’t been foreshortened ……. wipes egg mayonnaise residue from walrus moustache , lovely
Upstairs Bothams used to do great lunches as well I would have called it a restaurant, bit sad it’s only a tea room now. The bakery downstairs was well worth a visit too.
Not sure what your new microphone is but there's a slight problem with the sound out of the right channel. Listening on a pair of high end Sennheiser headphones through a DAC amp and the sound on the right channel is very weak. Other than that, great upload, thanks. 👍
Well it certainly looks very nice but I'm thinking you well have to change your name to Brother Simon and your subscribers will become known as your flock so you need to rename your channel Brother Simon and his Flock Whitby.
Nice weather at last Simon. Hair Cut 100? Fantastic Day!!! The Egg Mayo Sandwich does look great. Such a wonderful Church, needs more supporters.
It sure does!

Oops, the dreaded and ridiculously common apostrophe error in the exorcist’s breakfast.

Churchy places are nice but are closing faster than ever unfortunately so support them because they’re getting replaced with other praying premises.?😳
This place is doing so well. God Bless them.
Well it certainly looks very nice but I'm thinking you well have to change your name to Brother Simon and your subscribers will become known as your flock so you need to rename your channel Brother Simon and his Flock Whitby.
Mrs. M would take the jumbo portion of the c&w cake?
