      Thanks!!
      Yes, there's a lot of miss information when it comes to how to pay for things in Cuba. Best to have all forms of payment on you at all time lol. Things have changed so much since we were there in 2020.

    great video AGAIN! we have been to Cuba 16 times and this last trip was disappointing to us, NOT because of the wonderful people there, NOT because of the FOOD, which we find good! but the new rule about paying for things! Credit cards only! even if you went into the gift shop for a bubble gum you had to use a credit card! nowhere on Cayo Santa Maria accepted cash! can't wait to see your Havana trip, what a beautiful city!

      Yes we were shocked as to how much had changed around paying for things. Seem no one really knows and you need to keep cash and credit on you at all times. We ❤️ Cuba. It has a special place in our hearts. Holguin is our preferred area this far. We would like to spend a week in Havana to get a good sense of it. A few hours just isn't enough because there's so much to see!

    What was the final outcome for your bus tickets? Did they end up taking your CAD? great video

      Rob ended up finding his visa card in the bottom of his bag so he received the $20 Canadian back. All was good 😊

      @@curtiskleebaum7105 no they sure didn't. Everywhere else we went they took Canadian money. Aside for at the restaurant in Havana. They only took credit, no cash of any sort

    Désolé je ne parle pas l’anglais
    pour prendre l’autobus touriste, est-ce qu’on peut payer en argent canadien?
    ou seulement Carte De Crédit? 💳 $5 usa? 🇺🇸

      Sorry, I am not sure what the question is. We were unable to pay in Canadian dollars. We did end up paying using American money

    We're going in February. Should we bring mostly USD?

    • @pursuitforadventure
      @pursuitforadventure  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      USD and Canadian works. The only Canadian they don't take is coins, not even for tips at the resort. Canadian & USD can't be used on the $5 tour bus through Varadero. The tour bus wants a visa. We brought Canadian cash and exchanged it at the hotel

    Do they have french fries at the resort? Silly question but my kiddo loves them.

    • @pursuitforadventure
      @pursuitforadventure  ปีที่แล้ว

      When we were there this resort was 18+. I didn't see any fries at this resort. If you need ketchup bring ketchup packages. If you like certain alcohols or wine grab some at the duty free place in the airport because the hotel ran out of stuff when we were there. Don't forget some toilet paper too. Enjoy your trip!!

    The reason the bus driver didn't accept cash is because you were filming. They would've gladly accepted it off camera. $5 US is best.

    So you flew to cuba to eat Japanese food smh

    • @pursuitforadventure
      @pursuitforadventure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No... the Japanese restaurant happened to be one of the 2 a la carte options at the resort. We did however take a day trip into Havana and part of that trip we had lunch at a Cuban restaurant. Cuban food was also provided at the resorts buffet restaurant and a couple of other snack bars around the resort. We definitely prefer Cuban food over the Cubans interpretation of other nationalities cuisine however it is nice to have the option of the A la cartes as well.
